3RD POV ~~~~~~~~~
It's now been a month at Broken Arrow and Blaze had noticed a certain someone had been attending his classes. Turns out Shadow had a few classes with her-he just had never went to them.
She could have told her Auntie but..it's a slow process for Shadow. Blaze believes she will have him graduate ready by the end of the year. He has done very well in gym so she's going easy on him..
Blaze walked into her Geography class and took a seat. She pulls her Geography book and set it down on the desk.. as the teacher was about to begin Shadow walks in taking his time.. walking to the back of class to his own seat.
Blaze smile to herself.
Good. He isn't skipping.
The teacher begins talking and talking. This isn't really that interesting.
Out of curiosity Blaze turns her head around at Shadow.
She glances back to Shadow to find him lazily starring at the teacher. His hands supporting his head.
His eyes went to her quickly, he then gestures to the teacher rolling is eyes.
Blaze snickers turning back around..
Shadows small grin disappears as she does so.
"So anyways, I'm going to be assigning you all a project that I want you to finish by the end of the month. I want there to be groups of two,and this is how I want you to complete it.." the teacher proceeds to explain.
Once he finishes the students begins to partner up so, she grab her things and takes a seat beside Shadow.
Shadow opens his eyes as he stretches.
Blaze turns around facing the hedgehog.
"Why are you here?" He ask putting his feet on his desk..
"We are going to work together for the project." Blaze takes out her geography book again.
"As I recall I'm supposed to aid you with your grades, so why not."
"Whatever, just be sure to put my name on it when you're done." He mumbles.
Blaze froze from his comment.
"We work together or You work alone." She sighed.
Shadow glares his eyes. Blaze stares back at them waiting for another complaint.
"Ugh fine princess. Let's work on this on another day. It'll be fine." Shadow closes her textbook for her.
He does NOT want to do any work.
Blaze shakes her head opening it back up and looking through it... At least he's being more talkative nowadays.
Blaze glances back over to Shadow to see him balancing a pencil on his nose.
Now this is a new sight for anyone. Blaze covers her smile as she watched this "Edgy." hedgehog act like a child.
"Enjoying yourself?" She leaned on the desk holding back a giggle.
Shadow looses concentration and drops the pencil from his nose. "Dammit... yes. Yes I was."
He picks up the pencil continues to balance it.
"Enjoying the view your majesty?" He almost sung out the words catching Blaze off guard.
"Yes. You look like a child, it's cute." Blaze giggles, but stops herself.
She then quickly stares at her textbook away from Shadow.
Did she really just say that?
Shadow was surprised as well.
He stared at the side of Blaze's head not sure how to react.
"A-anyways." Blaze sighs still looking in her textbook. "Should we discuss when we will work on this project?"
Shadow folds his arms ignoring her previous comment. "In here, duh."
"The teacher just informed us he will not be giving us time in class. Therefore we have to work outside of this class." Blaze raises a brow. She thought he was paying attention.
"I'll let you decide what days we'll study.
I just don't want to interfere with you and Rouge.."
Shadow sets a pencil on his nose again.
"Why would Rouge give a shit about us/you working on our project?"
"We'll she's your girlfriend and-"
"Uh what!? She definitely is not!" Shadow slightly glares.
"She's not??"
"No. She just doesn't annoy me like everyone els, so I tolerate her." He scoffs.
Blaze sighed relaxing a bit.
"Oh. Alright then..."
"I'll decide when we/you work on our project. Just give me some time to think... " Shadow orders.
Blaze roll her eyes him.. she is NOT working on this on her own.
She's 100% capable, but still he gotta pull his own weight.

It's the lunch period, and everyone was enjoying their food.
Mostly everyone was conversating with each other except for Shadow. He was quiet. Even more quieter that usual.
"Geez, Shadow. You must be really deep in thought over there." Silver comments..
Shadow glances up, but ignores Silver.
"Maybe he's broken?" Rouge thinks aloud.
"Princess, Tuesdays and Thursdays." He spoke suddenly.
"What?" Rouge ask glancing around the table.
Shadow definitely must be broken..
"Let's meet up on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Blaze." Shadow stares Blaze down.
"Oh, okay then." Blaze nods understanding.
The rest of the table look between the two silently.
" What the heck is happening?" Sonic puts his hands up.
"Shadow and I have a project to complete for Geography, and I asked him to inform me on the days we should work on it.." Blaze shrugs causally.
They all nod slowly starting to get it.
Rouge blankly studies Blaze.
"Did anyone els here what the principle has Blaze doing while she's here?" Amy thought this would be the perfect time to bring this topic up.
Noice Amy.
"I don't, what's up?" Sonic says playing with his food.
"Principle Griffin has Blaze babysitting Shadow..." Amy winks to Blaze.
Shadow groans.
"For what?" Rouge asks Shadow..
"For the most part skipping.. it's ridiculous having Blaze checking on me here and there.." He rolls his eyes.
"Ooh, So you DO know my name?" Blaze smirks.
"Of course I do." He mumbles.
"Anyways, you know I'm not that bad, Shadow. We get along well." Blaze smiles to Shadow.
"Whatever." Shadow sighs with a small smile as well.
Amy watches them closely giggling ..
"Uh Amy? Are you okay there.?" Silver aks.
She nods her head. " Oh yeah. I'm fine! Don't mind me."

~~~~~~~BLAZE'S POV~~~~~
Today's has been yet another good day.
Got some work done.
Got some more good grades.
I partnered with Shadow for a project. I stopped listing and thought for a moment.
Shadow and I are getting along better than the first day..
Way better.
I can't wait to meet up with him in gym.
You know to kick everyone else's butt.
I was on my way to the gym for my last class. I stopped at my locker to put my bag inside, but when I opened it a paper fell out..
Huh this is not mine. I'd never just stuff paper in my locker..
I pick up the folded paper and open it up..
"Oh a note.." I whispered to myself.
I read the few sentences that was on the note.
'Stay away from shadow. He is not yours and never will be. He would never date someone like you, so get the thought out of your stupid princess head.'
Who...Who wrote this?
I look over the paper again. Then quickly flip it over looking for a name, signature or something.
Nothing...
What do they mean 'stay away from Shadow?' He's my..
He's MY friend. I have to help him out with school. He's MY gym partner.
I have every right to be with him.
What do they mean by 'he'd never date someone like me..' there's nothing wrong with me..
Wait. Would I want to date him?
Ugh Blaze get yourself together..
I look back down at the note.
'Get the thought out of your stupid princess head.'
" They cannot tell me what to do-I can think about Shadow all I want! Wait-uh.." I whisper to myself.
I didn't mean it like that..
I shove the note in my pocket, and begin walking to gym.

Everyone was on their own in gym today.
It was mostly obstacle course stuff. Like single races and relays..
I was in a group with Amy, Knuckles , and Silver. We were about to have the last race of that day against Shadows team..
"Don't worry Blaze just focus. I know you don't want Shadow to have bragging rights." Amy try's to cheer me up.
"Ready. Set. Go." The instructor starts the race. Shadow and I were last leg in the race, so we would be finishing it off.
I've been in a funk all class period.
Loosing my footing, slipping. Just completely out of it..
That note really has me thinking.
Maybe I need some rest?
I glanced to Silver who was currently going through the course..our second leg.
I glanced over at Shadow. Our eyes meeting. He nods his head to me and I nod back..
I feel my face heating up. "Ugh clam yourself." I sigh.
'He is not yours and will never be.'
Ugh that stupid note.
"Blaze!! "
I snapped back to reality.
Amy, our third leg, was a couple of feet from me.
Geez that was fast.
She handed me the baton.
That's my signal to go..
Go Blaze! Go..
I take off in a sprint seeing Shadow just starting as well.
Shadow..
We ran beside each other focusing on avoiding obstacles as we race..
Now who would want me to stay away from him?
I didn't execute a turn correctly causing me to collide with one of the obstacles.
"Ugh, shoot!" I growl..
Finish, don't stop running..
As I finally finished the race Shadow's team congratulated him on his run.
I watched as he ignored them.
Usually he gets hyped up from others praising him.
"Blaze, what happened.?" Silver look at me concerned.
"I..I just slipped...again.." I sigh looking at the floor..

I took my time getting my belongings from my locker.. how embarrassing..
Slipping like that.. several times.
I close my locker shut to reveal Shadow on the other side to my left.
I jumped slightly. How long has he been their?
He leans on the lockers
"What. The hell. Was that?" He growls.
"What do you mean?" I sigh..
"That performance in gym? It was terrible. Very unlike yourself.." He glares stepping closer to me.
He towers me as he leans his left arm on the lockers.
Wait. Was that sort of a complement?
"Beating you while you're in a funk isn't as half as fun as beating you while you're trying."
Ah there it is.
What do I say?
"What's up with you? You were fine in geography." He presses.
"I..I found a note in my locker. It seems that someone is threatening me for hanging out with you..." I mumble.
Shadow looks at me obviously confused.
"A note.. give it to me." He sticks out his hand.
I dug in my pocket and handed the note to Shadow..
He reads it with a growl.
Why is he upset about it?
"Garbage." Shadow rips the note in half, crumbles it up, and shoved it in his pocket. "It's not like we have a choice to hang out or not." He mumbles.
"Either way. You're going to let a note like this distract you while we work out in the gym? This is nothing. If someone really had a problem they should have just said something to your face. What a coward." He folds his arms.
He has a point.
"Hate to say it, but you are correct. I'm not sure why I let something as little as this get to my head." I shake my head and began walking. Shadow walks beside me.
"Just don't let that happen again. It's embarrassing having my partner look that bad. If you're in a funk then we both are in a funk."
I smile from his comment.
"Though I'd love to see you lay into someone..ya know break their face.." Shadow mumbles..
I laugh. "I will keep that in mind."
Shadow and I were now out of the building.
"There you are Blaze, what took so long? " Silver waves me over to the others.
"Oh, I was just talking to Shadow. We were just discussing our project. Correct, Shadow?" I look over to him as he nods.
"Exactly."

I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling..
I know the others may not agree with me completely but, shadow is a good guy.
I enjoy his company. A lot..
I've been here a while...a whole month without...
"Silver!" I say aloud.
"Uh. Yeah?" He pokes his head into my room.
"Let's visit my parents!" I say with a smile..
"Sure." He smiles back.
"Let's invite everyone!"
"Oh, if they want then sure. When should we ask?"
Silver leans on my door.
Hmm. That's a good question..
