Chapter 1 - [I] Frosted Casaluide

I was in a room with flicking lights. I had just woken up. I was on a trip to Mars but nevertheless, I had been abducted and whom ever did it is unknown. I got up and realised how uncomfortable the "beds" were on this ship. I breathed and left the room. The hallway was connected to four other rooms and a buffer shield between the next section of this ship. The ship wasn't made by humans as the ship had a map which had a language reminiscent of morse code, definitely similar.

My idea was to explore the rooms and I had spotted a window. The outside looked liked an endless winter and the cold atmosphere had fogged the outskirts of the window. I proceeded to break the window, instantly being gushed with a freezing breeze. I saw that the room I was in had a thermostat that read "34•<-" I could guess that would be -32° but an assumption at best. I climbed out the window and on to the powdered ground filled with snow. I still had clothes on which were sustainable to cold climates but still felt most of the impact.

There was a icy cave which I went to. It seemed to have been used for shelter, some organic life form could have sustainably lived here but now I think the species are dead to the cold climate. I went deeper into the cave, It was cold but less cold than being on the surface. There was a book that had the abstract language written inside. [Transcribe?] I forget I could use my glasses to translate any language I read into English. Let's see here...

"We are the Cascadians, we named this planet, Casaluide, a thousand years ago. Our planet is getting colder than it ever has been. I made this cave in fact, I hope someone finds this and can piece together that this planet was warm and in some sense earth-like."

"Need to go, the planet---is---..."

That is interesting, however they got interrupted and never finished what they wanted to say. I will head back to ship and rest...
