the plume is what we call the black storm like cloud that devours or covers up light some people call it a plague or an alien attack but no one knows but once your body starts emitting a thin black smoke from there skin and thick black tears fall from your eyes the life in them dies and your blinded after that you will die in 20 seconds it's too short to say a full good bye and too long for the human person to just die peacefully cause most ppl die in fear and anger cause let's face it no one really wants to just except there death just so suddenly. Its a cruel way to go and with that the world followed into a even more state of panic nearly wiping ourselfs into extinction even before the plume claimed over 2000 lives sadly. Luckly for me my story takes place 200 years after all this mess . I'd love to say humanity has changed but let's face it even faced with death of an un know plague or a attack from other living beings we are always quicker to kill each other .
one one man gave me hope and sadly he had more so called humanity in him than I do or anyone I know and he's not even a human .
that's the story I want to tell you about mine and his and our fight to just survive .
chapter one : Ray daughter of Dawn
part one
Being a kid when the world went to shit isn't so different than normal if you where already born into shit just means less people are around and getting food is a bit harder but if you look hard enough you'll find some it'd just not be a burger or fries like people would be used to its be a nice juicy bug or if your lucky you'll find sweet berry's that didn't make you puke .
My mother was a wife of a baker before she got pregnant with me but we humans did what we do best destroy. Since my mother was a very well known beautiful woman men would constantly be looking or even harassing her they didn't care if she was married not one bit. My mom's husband I heard was a nice man strong hard working qnd very loving to my mother but when the man called Edwin Bustershire the "Lord of our village " came to town to take over for his late uncle Jones Bustershire , but he apparently seen my mom and fell head over heels as he was doing a walk through of town he demanded my mom's husband to hand her over but he refused and ended up being killed but three of his men .
Mom in the end was raped and had me 9 months later . My mom's last words before she left me on the streets was "let's hope the plume takes you before your father finds you" and then she walked away .
I was 5 years old sitting between an old alleyway of some kind of fallen buildings with nothing but a crusty baby blanket and a large wooden crate to keep me dry and one slice of bread that was currently being chewed on by some rats as I played with sticks barly understood what my mother had told me at the time. I didn't understand my mother wasn't coming back till darkness fell apon my small world in that nasty broken down alley . I felt so scared and lonely and I cried and cried till the sun came back up I took that as a sign to be brave and look for my mother and I learned real fast what my mom used to say curiosity killed the cat.
