Chapter 1 - Prologue

Prologue

Harrison James Potter Black Slytherin Gryffindor Peverell, also known as Harry, sighed as he stared at the cauldron in front of him. Said cauldron contained the Animagus Transformation Potion, which would force the drinker to transform into their animal form. It was a dangerous potion to take, but much quicker than spending several months silently meditating and focusing on visualizing and transforming into the other form. And considering the current state of the Magical World the potion was his best option.

Harry knew that his Transfiguration Professor and the remaining members of the Order of the Phoenix would probably scold him if they ever found out about what he was doing and a few would likely try to get him tossed into Azkaban. He also knew that taking the potion was very, very dangerous. One mistake and the whole potion would be completely messed up, or blow up. He sighed as he stirred the potion, recalling everything that had happened prior to him brewing the potion.

He was a rather good brewer but only because he had practiced preparing the ingredients countles of times at home and in the chamber of secrets, where he has also practiced brewing several Potions, including the animagus potion. Without Snape looming over him, whenever he had the chance to slip away and go to the chamber, he had come to enjoy brewing potions. 'It's calming' he mused as he added a correctly prepared ingredient.

He had also practiced preparing potion ingredients in his bedroom during the summer. Though he kept everything a secret from everyone. No one was to find out he used the chamber of secrets to practice and learn new spells, including old and long forgotten ones and he definitely didn't want anyone to know that he was planning on becoming an unregistered animagus. He didn't want to get expelled or worse, end up in Azkaban.

He'd known about the risks he was taking but ever since he had found out about the animagus ability, he had been fascinated with it. The ability to turn into your inner animal and to shift into that form sounded amazing to the young powerful wizard.

When he had seen Professor Mcgonnagal changing from a cat into a human, in his first year at school, he had been immediately fascinated with it. He had asked Professor Mcgonnagal how she could change forms and after receiving the answer, he had run to the library.

He had spent hours searching for books on the subject and had read every book he found. He had also owl-ordered as many books on the Animagus Transformation as he could, just so he could read it several times, not wanting to forget a single bit of information. Reading them only increased his desire to become an animagus. That desire grew when he found out about his father and godfather being an animagus, and their reason for becoming an Animagus whilst still in school.

After the horror that was his second year he had decided to re-read his first and second year text books to practice his wand movements, wanting to be better prepared for whatever would await him in his third year. Which was why he had bought a few books on Defensive Magic during the last week of summer when he was in Diagon Alley.

In his third year he began searching for useful guides and ways to help him become an animagus, instead of just reading about it. He did it in secret for he did not want anyone to find out what he was doing. Afterall, becoming an unregistered animagus could get him a one way ticket to Azkaban. When he stumbled on a potion that could help him find his inner animal as well as help him transform quicker he had shoved it aside.

He knew what the dangers were if he did not brew the potion correctly. He could end up permanently transformed in his animal form, could become a hybrid of both human and animal form and he could even die. The risks were great and he had found it difficult to decide whether to brew the potion or not.

At the end of the year he had discovered another way to become an animagus  however it involved multiple rituals and would take much more time than the potion would. And so he decided to go with the potion and made a list of what he would need to properly prepare the ingredients and brew said potion. Which was why he had bought extra potion ingredients, a high quality cauldron and a ladle, a knife kit meant for potion Masters and their apprentices and a good set of weighing scales. He also bought several owl-order catalogues from several different stores, should he need anything else during his fourth year. Just to be on the safe side he also bought a pair of thick leather gloves and some protective gear, which was more commonly used by potion Masters. He wanted to be fully prepared to practice brewing potions when he went to school again.

During his fourth year, he began to study other fields of magic, knowing he would need to know how to use defensive and offensive spells if he wanted to survive the thrice damned tournament he had been forced to participate in. Preparing for each task, going to classess, doing his homework and then participating in each task kept him far to busy for him to even think about the animagus potion.

He had a brief moment of thinking about an animagus form being able to help him, whilst in the damned maze, before he had to avoid getting killed by one of Hagrid's beloved Acromantula's. After that things had spiralled into hell, when both he and Cedric had grabbed the Tri-wizard tournament trophy together.

They had landed in a graveyard, both very unprepared for what had come next. In the span of less than an hour, Cedric had been murdered by Pettigrew, Harry had ended up bound to a statue, had his blood taken from him by force and struggled as he watched Voldemort regain a body.

The rather ugly snake-faced Dark Lord summoned his followers, gave a lecture, threw a crucio at a simpering servant before he turned his attention to Harry and proceded to press his thumb into the boy's scar, causing Harry to scream in agoby. Much to the fourteen year old's surprise the bastard had then removed his thumb and released him, causing him to collapse on the ground. His wand had been tossed toward him and he had grasped it tightly, turning to face Voldemort who demanded he bow and then they dueled.

Though it could hardly be called a duel. All Voldemort did was move around and casting crucio and Avada Kedavra left right and center, hitting more tombstobes than anything else. All Harry did was throw back harmless stunning spells, a few cutting hexes and a burning spells before his disarming spell conected with Voldemorts kiling curse.

Everything after that had mostly been a blurr to Harry. He vaguely recalled hearing and seeing his dead parents and Cedric, lunging for the portkey and Cedric's corpse before he ended up on the quidditch field at Hogwarts. His body was in schock, his mind numb and all he could remember was crying that Voldemort was back, that Cedric had been murdered and then he had been taken to Moody's office.

The ex-auror turned out to be a, presumed to be dead, Death Eater using polyjuice and had ended up kissed by a Dementor. Harry still wasn't entirely sure as to how that had happend. What he did know, and what pissed him off, was that he was sent to the Dursley's for the summer without even so much as a check up with an actual healer instead of a school nurse.

Whilst at the Dursley's he had decided to try and think of something other than the utter disaster his fourth year had been. In the end he decided it was better to focus on something else than to do nothing else but wallow in grief, staying up all nights and doing as many household chores as the Dursley's could come up with.

And so he began to, yet again, re-read all of his text books, the books he had owl-ordered and the ones he had found in the chamber of secrets. He practised the wand motions over and over again, muttering the spells as he did so, being careful not to actually cast any magic. He had also made a list of the risks and benefits involved in becoming an Animagus.

It was dangerous, he knew that but the reckless Gryffindor part of him told him to do it, brew the potion and take it; without thinking much on the consequences. Yet the slyer, more cunning side of him, the part of his personality that had made the sorting had almost sort him into Slytherin, reasoned that he should be careful. There were many things that could go wrong and it would be unwise to brew something without knowing exactly if it was done correctly or not. Still the benefits outweighed the risks and he decided to practice brewing the potion first, before doing anything else.

Much to his dismay, when he returned to Hogwarts, he had no opportunity to brew in private and little time to practice his magic in private, not with the hideous pink toad of a D.A.D.A. professor lurking around. The bitch took great pleasure in terrorizing the students, demonizing and slandering the Headmaster and Harry himself, assigning horrible detentions and torturing students just to get information.

With her around, he had to be careful, very careful for the bitch would take even the slightest mistake as an opportunity to get him expelled or worse. So he settled for keeping his head down, after his first detention with her cursed quill. Instead he focused on reading in the library, attending classess, completing his assignments and, on the rare occasion, sneaking off to practice spells in the Chamber of secrets. The Animagus potion had yet again been put to the side.

Afterall, he couldn't just owl-order whatever he wanted, not with Umbridge intercepting the owl posts. And even if she didn't keep a close eye on him, he still couldn't sneak away to brew. She was an absolute terror and utterly useless as a teacher and so, when Hermione asked, he agreed to teach D.A.D.A. himself to several students.

It went well, until Umbridge found out about the D.A, after giving a member a dose of veritaserum. It all went downhill from there, Dumbledore left the castle and the pink bitch ruled with an iron fist. To make matters worse, his Occlumency lessons were only getting worse. While he did manage to prevent Snape from finding out he planned to become an Animagus, instead of only being fascinated by the subject, the man was very good at intruding into minds. Much to his relief the lessons stopped after he cast a shield spell and accidentally ended up seeing a memory of Snape's time at Hogwarts.

Not long after that, his dreams began getting worse and the daily detentions with Umbridge began taking its toll on him. He was becoming more and more exhausted and was all too glad when the O.W.L exams were over, with the final practical exam being canceled due to the Weasley twins. He had very much enjoyed their prank attacks on Umbridge and had taken advantage of the chaos by slipping away to get some much needed rest.

Unfortunately for him he didn't get much sleep before a vision woke him up. Concerned for his godfather's wellbeing he had rushed out to find his best friends, telling them that he had seen Voldemort torturing Sirius because he wanted something. Hermione advised him to be careful, suggesting that the vision could be of Voldemort's own making in order to lure Harry to him. Seeing her logic in that, Harry headed to Umbridge's office. Every other fireplaces had been blocked from the floo network, all of them save for the one in her office.

After flooing to Grimmauld Place number 13 and hearing from the gnarly old house elf, Kreachure, that Sirius had been taken by Voldemort, Harry left the office. Only to be caught by Umbridge and Filch. Sending Filch to get Snape with veritaserum, the evil bitch forced the trio back into the office. She took their wands and threatened to kill them. When the potions master arrived and told the woman that there was no more truth serum she send both him and Filch away.

When she then began the motion to use the cruciatus curse on Harry, Hermione interfered and tricked the pink clad toad into taking them to the Forbids forest. Once the ministry toad realised she had been fooled, she attempted to curse them only to be interrupted by a Centaur Patrol unit. It was then that the intolerant woman made a big mistake, she insulted the bow wielding guardians of the Forest and got attacked. The trio quickly left her behind and fled, Harry being desperate to find his godfather.

On their way back to the castle they ran into several D.A members and ended up flying on Terrestrials to the Ministry. It wasn't as long a flight as they had expected it to be and they reached the Ministry shortly after sundown. Once inside they made their way to an elevator and went all the way down to level ten, where the courtrooms, holding cells and the entrance to the Department of Mysteries was.

It took several minutes to find their way into the Hall of Prophecies and several more to realise that it was a trap. Ambushed by Death Eaters, the group of friends fought for their lives as they tried to escape. Thanks to Harry's teaching they managed to take out several Death Eaters, destroying the majority of the Hall of Prophecies in the process. After an hour or two at the most they met up on the Death Chamber, having split up in the attack.

The Order of the Phoenix arrived shortly after, having been informed of the situation by Snape who had found out when Harry had thought very hard on the vision, in Umbridge's office, whilst looking the sour man in the eyes.

The skilled adults were quick to join the battles, spells moving rapidly through the air. Several minutes later Bellatrix managed to hit Sirius with a killing curse, knocking the man into the Veil. Enraged at the loss of his godfather, Harry chased after her. His magic lashed out violently as he shot curse after curse at her, forcing her to run, run and deflect the spells as she tried to escape. He cought up with her in the Atrium and cast the torture curse on her. Not even a minute later Voldemort appeared and attacked, assaulting his mind and trying to possess him.

After that things were a blur, he vaguely remembered Dumbledore showing up and battling the Dark Lord, Minister Fudge flooing in just as Voldemort left, his friends and several order members entering the atrium and Remus holding him tightly. He passed out after the first healing spell was cast and woke three days later.

Umbridge was removed from the school, once she had been found and taken to ST Mungos. He mourned his godfather, took his D.A.DA. exams again and finally left at the end of the year. His mood was low, he was grieving and all he wanted, once he got to Private Drive, was to sleep. Once again he had received no check-up by an actual certified healer nor had he been offerd any sort of grief counseling. Sadly he also got no time to rest and properly mourn as his relatives had received a letter from Dumbledore; informing them of the Death of Sirius. A letter which mentioned nothing of him being tortured, possesd by Voldemort and needing time to recover.

Knowing that Harry could no longer threaten to expose their actions and treatment toward him to his massmurderer of a Godfather, the Dursleys locked him up in his room. They only let him out for a 15 minute bathroom break in the morning and in the evening before they went to bed, he used those breaks to wash up and use the toilet.

They used a cat-flap at the bottom of his bedroom door to feed him twice a day and to give him a single bottle of water in the morning. What they gave him was mostly a can of cold soup, dry bread, barely edible fruit and ocassionally the scraps of the food he coocked for them every evening. Most of the food he fed to his owl Hedwig, who had been locked up in her cage by Harry's fat walrus of an uncle.

It took two weeks of quietly grieving and fuming in anger before he decided that it was time to focus on the animagus potion again. He wrote a list of all the ingrediënts of the potion and then called Dobby. After a quick explanation, he handed over the list and a pouch of Galleons, to Dobby. The hyperactive elf was eager to help and happily popped over to Diagon Alley to buy the necessary potions ingredients needed for the Animagus Transformation Potion. With a fresh supply of the ingredients he needed, Harry practiced preparing the ingredients, again, just to be sure.

He sent Dobby to get more whenever he ran out. Several weeks before the start of the new school year, he left the house with Dumbledore, who had come to take him to the Burrow. They made a stop at a muggle house, inhabited by a former Hogwarts Potions Professor. After he successfully manipulated the man into returning to Hogwarts in order to teach Potions, Harry was taken to the Burrow.

Whilst there he kept to himself, reading the books he had bought over the past few years and practicing as many spells as he could. Of course being surrounded by the Weasleys as well as several Order members, he couldn't practice as much as he'd like. Still he could at least practice the wand movements and meditate a bit, if only because doing the latter helped with learning Occlumency. And that was something he needed, he might not be the smartest slug in a barrel, but he wasn't dumb. And so he had sent Kreachure to get him a book on Occlumency and Legilimency from the library at Grimmauld Place.

Keeping himself busy, the two weeks passed by quickly and before he knew it was the first of September. He dreaded going to Kings Cross Station, knowing that people would gawk at him and mob him with well wishes and pleas to save them. If he was honest, he didn't think he should do what they expected him to do.

He was sixteen, had very little training when it came to using magic in battle, and he lacked the skill and experience needed to take on Voldemort. So far he had only survived his encounters with the psycho snake man due to dumb luck, the few defensive spells he had managed to learn during his fourth year and the powerful magic left on him by his mother's sacrifice. He needed training and would get it, even if he had to train himself. And then he would do his best to defeat the Dark Lord and his merry band of murderers.

Training was pretty much all he did, aside from his usual school work and learning more about Voldemort from Dumbledore. He primarily used the Come and Go room to practice magic, using the rooms unique ability to becone whatever he needed to his advantage. That included thinking about books on battle magic and other means to become strong enough to at least survive longer than a few minutes against either Voldemort or one of his followers.

Of course nothing could ever go normal for Harry and towards the end of his sixth year he had been manipulated into retrieving a memory for Professor Slughorn, the fat man hired to teach potions so Snape could teach D.A.D.A. After that, Dumbledore had taken him away from school to a cave Voldemort had decided to use as a perfect place for undead zombie like creatures. Said creatures, he later learned, were called Inferi and had been in the cave to protect one of Voldemort's soul anchors.

After forcing the Headmaster to drink poison, taking the locket from the empty basin and with Dumbledore's help, escaping to Hogsmeade he had been forced to watch Snape kill Dumbledore. Of course, as usual with each year he had attened Hogwarts, that occured during the end of the school year.

After Dumbledore's funeral, Harry had been taken back to his relatives with orders to lay low. Which he did whilst helping his relatives pack up their belonings as they were going to be moved to a safe house. Three weeks before the end of the summer he was picked up by several members of the Order of the Phoenix and his best friends.

Several people took some polyjuice potion with his hair in it in order to change into him. After everyone dressed in the same clothes, including Harry himself, they all left of different types of transport. Harry left with Hagrid, whilst everyone else either left on a broom or a therestral, in the hope that, in the event of an ambush the real Harry would be protected and remain safe.

Ofcourse nothing ever went according to plan and by the time they all arrived at the Burrow Harry had lost Hedwig to a killing curse, Mad Eye Moody had been murdered and Fred had lost an ear. The remainder of the three weeks were mostly spent preparing for the wedding of Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasly. The newest Minister of Magic had visited to personally read the will of Albus Dumbledore to Harry, Hermione and Ron and to hand over the items the late Headmaster had left to the three teenagers. The Minister left afterwards, dissapointed that he hadn't been able to discover why exactly Dumbledore had left such items to three students and downright angry that he didn't get to know where the sword if Gryffindor was located, not that the three friends knew where the sword was.

The wedding was beautiful and surprisingly calm and peaceful right until the end of the wedding reception and the Death Eaters attacked, after a patronus message came and delivered the message that the Ministry had fallen.

Chaos broke out and admidst the chaos Hermione grabbed hold of Ron and Harry and apparated them directly to a theater in London. There they changed their clothes and went to a diner to discus their next move, not knowing that Voldemort had put a taboo curse on his name. A curse which would alert Death Eaters to the exact location of the person who spoke their Master's name.

After a brief fight in the diner the trio apparated away and headed to Grimmauld Place number 13, where they discovered that Kreachure had once been given a Horcrux of Voldemort, in the form of Salazar Slytherin's locket, by his late master Regulus Black. After learning that Harry intended to destroy the locket, which was something Kreachure had previously been ordered to do, the old elf popped away to find Mundungus Fletcher.

The cowardly thief was attacked by two squabbling house-elf's in Knockturn alley and taken to Grimmauld Place 13 where Kreachure took great pleasure in hitting the thief with an iron skillet, after the man spilled out that a certain pink clad horrendous bitch of a toad had bought it from him. Harry told Dobby to drop the Thief somewhere else and left with his friends to find a way into the ministry of magic.

They knocked out three people working at the ministry of magic, took a few strands of their hair and clothes and used polyjuice to infiltrate the building. After causing chaos and successfully getting the locked, Hermione had to apparate, whilst in the floo-network in order to escape from Voldemorts pack of Werewolves, a group known as The Snatchers.

They ended up in a forrest, healed Ron who had been splinched and began to travel, trying to find a clue as to where the next Horcrux could be. They never stayed in the same Place for long, ended up finding the sword of Gryffindor, a week after Ron had angrily left during an heated argument with Harry and destroyed the locket.

Not long after they were captured by Snatchers and taken directly to Malfoy manor where they were all tortured, one after the other before being locked up. Hermione was tortured longer than her two friends, Bellatrix happily curving the word Mudblood in the Girls arm. Harry and Ron, having found their friend Luna, a Goblin and Ollivander the wandmaker, were surprised when Dobby showed up and took both the Goblin and Luna away to a safe place.

When the elf returned, he surprised Pettigrew who was swiftly stunned and Ron rushed out of the dungeon and into the ballroom to safe his girlfriend. After Hermione got up and Harry took Draco's wand there was a chaotic duel, one which was interrupted by Dobby unscrewing a chandelier and letting it fall right above Bellatrix, thereby creating enough of a distraction in order to get the three young adults away.

Much to Harry's relief the elf survived getting a knife thrown at him and the odd group recupurated at the cottage owned by Bill and Fleur. Several days after their arrival, Harry overheard Ron complaining to Hermione about everything they had been through since they met Harry. Said young wizard felt his heart ache when he heard Hermione agreeing that they should have recieved more money from Dumbledore for all they did. His heart all but shattered when he heard Ron telling the bushy haired girl that they would have al the money and fame they needed after Harry married his sister an then died at the hands of Voldemort, leaving a fake will behind bestowing all he owned to Ginny. When Hermione asked what to do should Harry survive, Ron answered: "Ginny will dose him with love Potions, mom said they'll marry and then mom said he would be killed by a Death Eater."

Harry all but felt the ground collapse beneath him and quickly, but quietly left the cottage. Feeling more than just betrayed, abandoned and having no idea as to what he should do now, he called Dobby and asked the elf to take him directly to Gringotts. He had a will to make and needed to know just how much money he has, for he only knew of his trust vault. Once he arrived at the bank he managed to get a meeting with his account manager.

After explaining why he was at the bank and what he wanted to do, he was shocked to learn that not only would he be a lord once he turned seventeen he also learned that he was fairly wealthy and that Dumbledore had been systematically stealing from his trust vault in order to pay the Dursleys, his former best friends and fund the Order.

Being beyond angry, Harry lost control of his emotions and began to explain what his life had been like after the death of his parents, he spilt everythinghe had been through at Hogwarts and afterwards to his Accountmanager. Said Goblin had been more than horrified upon hearing that Harry had been hunting Horcruxes and had asked: "How many of these abominations are there and how many are destroyed?" Harry, beginning to suspect and hope that the Goblins could help him answered: "Dumbledore suspected the Dark Lord made at least six. I destroyed the Diary in my second year, he took care of the ting and my former friends and I took care of the Locket. I think there might be one at Hogwarts and one in the bank. The last one is probably his familiar Nagini." After learning about the foul soul container hidden within their bank, the Goblins wasted no time and took care of the problem, locking down the bank immediately.

Harry, surprised at their actions, thanked them and asked to see if there was anything in his vaults that would be of use to him. He had been annoyed to hear that he couldn't acces his family vaults until the Goblins had combed through every vault in order to ensure nothing as foul as a Horcrux remained hidden.

They did point him towards a small recistance group, openly fighting against the Death Eaters. Harry, liking the fact that they actually made sure not one of the Dark Lord's followers could return to their master, joined them after filing his will a the bank. It took less than a month for the leader to die and Harry took up the mantle, leading the slowly growing group of people into raids. They gathered intel, raided Death Eater hideouts, killed as many as they could, freed prissoners and helped many muggleborn's and halfbloods to flee the country.

An anonymus tip lead to Harry sneaking into Hogwarts to find Ravenclaw's lost Diadem, which turned out to be a Horcrux. He revealed himself to all students in the Great Hall and by doing so gave three if the four houses the courage to stand up against their Death Eaters teachers. During the chaos which erupted afterwards, Harry ran off to find the Horcrux. Having recieved a tip from Luna to ask the Grey Lady, the Ghost of Helena Ravenclaw, where to find the diadem, Harry followed the girls advice and learned that the cursed object was in the Come and Go room.

He took the shortcut there and made quick work of destroying the thing, discovering during the aftermath that something wasn't quite right with his scar. Yet, as he had little time to think about what the problem was he rushed of to help fight against the Death Eaters. Seeing the chaos, the dead bodies and hearing the screams and laughter of the Death Eaters he knew he had to end it.

And so, when Voldemort gave them all a brief cease fire under the condition that they give Harry up he made the choice to surrender and died. Waking up in a white version of King's Cross Station and learning from Death that not only had he been a Horcrux, he was now the holder of all three of the Deathly Hallows and thus had a choice; he could step onto a train and move on into the afterlife, or reject Death and return to the world of the living. He chose the latter, having no intention of leaving innocent people to die at the hands of Voldemort. Shortly after he voiced his disicion he found himself in Hagrid's arms listening to Neville giving a couragseous speech, whilst holding the sword of Gryffindor.

In a split second Harry sprung up and fires a nasty curse at Voldemort, who immediately screeched out his rage and began attacking him. The battle resumed and in the chaos, Neville managed to kill Nagino, who had been about to bit his throat to shreds. Surprisingly enough Harry had Voldemort on the defense, long enough for his resistance group to arrive and lend a hand. Not even an hour later Harry caused Voldemort to desintegratie, a result of the Elder Wand, in the Dark Lords hand, turning on him for it refused to betray it's true master: Harry.

The aftermath of the war was exhausting. Death Eaters were hunted down, the Ministry was sorted out with Auror Kingsley as the new Minister and the re-building of all damaged Magical settlements, shopping districts and Hogwarts began. With plenty of help from the French, Bulgarian and American Aurors, things were soon relatively normal and Hogwarts would be ready to re-open after the summer.

A summer which he was told he had to spend with the Dursleys in order to keep them and him safe from anyone wanting to try and harm them in the name of Voldemort. Harry had relucantly gone to his relatives safehouse and found that they had grown even more hostile to him. They had not appreciated being forced to leave their home just because he had a murderer after him.

Having no desire to live with his pitiful, ungrateful relatives, Harry had no intention of staying with them the entire summer. Instead he left and headed to an abandoned warehouse. After Warding the place to be near inpenetrable he took two weeks to rest and relax. Then he decided it was high time to achieve his dream of becoming an animgus and called Dobby.

The house elf, Dobby, was very eager to get Harry everything he needed, which included new potion ingredients and a knife set as he had given his previous supply to a potions master in the resistance group and had used the knifes to kill Death Eaters and Snatchers. He waited for Dobby to return and then in the quiet warehouse he carefully and correctly brewed the potion, following the instructions correctly. And that brought him to where he was now carefully brewing the animus potion. He made sure not to skip any steps and to mentally go over each following step a few times before he continued. After all he didn't want to accidentally get himself blown up, injured or killed.

When the potion was finished Harry spent a few minutes staring at it. He wanted to become an animagus but he wasn't sure if the potion was safe. He didn't read about any side effects the potion could have, as very few people had used the potion, so he had his doubts about taking it. So now he was staring at the complete and correctly brewed potion. Dobby stood a few feet away next to Master Harry's trunk, which Harry had pulled out of a fake molar on the lower right side of his mouth before unshrinking it and taking out his potions equipment. Dobby was very curious as to what Harry was going to do with the potion, but didn't make a move to assist or urge him on.

Finally making a decision Harry sighed, used the ladle to fill a glass with the potion and downed it in one go. He stuck out his tongue with a disgusted expression, potions weren't meant to be sweet, and put the glas down. As minutes passed by, waiting for it to work, he began to panic.

What if the potion did not work? What if he brewed it wrong? What if-

His panic was abruptly cut off when his body experienced pain worse than the cruciatus curse, his bones snapped and shifted, his skin, his body completely and utterly changed. It hurt, even more than the cruciatus curse. And that was saying a lot because he had felt that curse many times. Harry cried out in pain and arched his back.

He faintly heard Dobby wailing in panic as he fell to the ground. He felt the elf's small hands on his body before he blacked out and slipped into oblivion.
