Chapter 1 - Crimson Glow

Upon stumbling down the pavement, Aliya's eyes started tearing in pain as her heart and knees throbs in pain. She had run away earlier, after going in his lover's apartment only to find out he's cheating with her gay friend, kissing and almost full-on making out. She was planning on surprising him by her sudden visit and celebrated his passing in his dream college. But her lover had other plans in mind.

The celebratory feeling, she had had gone down the drain and had turned into pain and anger. She stood up sobbing. She couldn't let herself just cry in the middle of a busy street. Noticing the looks people gives her. She left for a nearby bar to drink and cry herself out.

Night came and her tears still not drying. The alcohol she's been consuming has reached her head is fighting her reasons. She wants to go to her lover personally to berate and break up but, knowing herself she would melt in an instant and act all forgiving so, the bubbly side of her side decided to just call him.

"You! You stinking, two-timing piece of trash! I know what you did! I don't want to see your dog face ever again! Also, I wish you get STD out of sucking his dick!" She shouted on the phone and ended it right after, leaving no chance for the other side to talk back.

Not long after her heartfelt outburst on the phone, she got kicked out the bar. She was beyond just drunk, she had started crying, whaling even that the manager had try and stop her for having another drink himself.

Walking and swaying, her tired head could not muster to curse at her now ex-lover and wishes to just lay somewhere and sleep. If only her house is near but, hers is in another city and will have to ride the train. It's already late in the night and the station is already closed. She'll have to stay somewhere else tonight.

"So much for sacrificing time…" Aliya mumbles to herself while crossing a pedestrian.

Her feet suddenly stopped and in the corner of her eyes she noticed something. A creepy feeling crawled from the bottom of her back all the way to her nape. It was a large full moon in a crimson color. It gave a feeling of an intensely staring eyes. She put the feeling aside and blames the odd feeling on the alcohol. Her jumbled head could not remember if there's some lunar event and if there is even one, she could not careless. She turned her attention back to the road and upon stepping another foot, the modern buildings, paved road and city lights vanished. The bustling noises of humans and cars are also gone. Before her eyes, the glow from the large red moon lightens the dark forestry in a tinted red. It is something you would expect to see in a horror movie. Aliya found herself stuck in one place. Her head still spinning but, due to her heavily beating heart, she hasn't fallen down the ground passed out.

"What in the world? I'm fucking tripping." She squints herself, unbelieving what her swirling sight sees, she finds the whole situation a comedic scenario. "Ah, man," she hiccupped. "Am I dying for overdosing in alcohol, I'm hallucinating hard right now?"

Unable to walk straight, she rested her arm in a nearby tree and her stomach hurled. Whilst hurling, she didn't notice the birds not from where she is, flew in flocks. The silence broken and different heavy footsteps can be heard in every direction.

"Ugh, unicorns and rainbows." She wiped her mouth with her sleeves and now, she notices the growing noises resembling prancing of horse in front of her. When it was loud enough to be near her it went silent. Intrigued by the odd noises, she squinted her back again in front of her. It was only the darkness she found. "Must have been the wind." She brushed. "Now, how do I get back home? If only Olly didn't cheat on me, I would have been happily resting by now. I feel like drinking some more! That guy, why did he take my drink and made me leave, I can still drink more!" Her words turned into incoherent slurs.

Too busy, a dark figure hides among the dark woods and looms towards behind her. In great speed, it knocked her down the ground, making her scream. It had bitten her shoulder and no matter how she pushes, punch nor kick, it is as if she has no strength. It would not even flinch and it stayed growling as it bites her. She tried to painfully slide up but, could. Her screams and shout did nothing.

"Get off me! It hurts, please! Get off of me!" She cries and the only reply she got are grunts and growls.

Panic stricken, she turned white. All the things that have happened to her the whole day had hit her heavily and lost consciousness and her last though before passing out is that, "I'm going to die."

Realizing the woman, he had bitten had grown silent and limp. He snapped out; he had bitten her deeply. Fearing that she might be in a fatal situation he quickly removed himself off of her. Checking her bite wound and her breathing, he came into conclusion that cleaning and healing the wound is enough. He heaved a sigh of relief and started cleaning her by licking the wound. He only stopped and rested after the wound stop bleeding. His tail sways happily as he studies her.

Small and thin compared to the women in his wolf pact. She seemed weak and would be easily be oppressed beside him. "What am I if I can't protect my woman…" His mind darkened in thoughts for choosing a small unrecognizable female. Gladly he got his hands to her first. Different hands could have held her first and it might turn out tragic. Bloody even.

The red moon lasts for an hour and only after a century had passed. It was a long wait and had turned out fruitful for him.

He watches the moon go back to normal and the dawn breaks. He stood back in four legs and carries her on his back. On the way, he passed by his wolves' men. Their faces were evident of surprise. Their tongues are held off and could not protest. The small figure, they figure would not last long to a beast double her size. It is shamed upon, to be take a young and usually is negotiated by through their parents. They all misunderstood with piercing stare.

He shoved their thoughts off by growling menacingly and continued to walk. Morning rises fully when he reached a small village of huts. The old and young remained yesterday but a few had gone back already. Howls, giggles and unnecessary noises busy lovers does prove that the event has been successful. At least for him, gives him ground of reality.

In the middle, a large circular hut is positioned. He went in. The inside was not much, it barely has anything except dried pelts, jugs of water, mead and dried meat hanged. In the middle, thinned animal skin acts as a curtain isolates the area. A rough round stone elevates the floor, hays and furs stacks together. He went straight to the makeshift bed of hay and furs, rested the sleeping Aliya. He was about to join her in bed when someone outside called out to him.

"Chief Orgar, it's Homar." The voice announced.

The large beast turned back to human and clothed himself before leaving.

A high-pitched voice woke Aliya, confusion wash her face. She couldn't recognize where she at and with all the noises caused her head to hurt even more. She grasps her head and massaged it. She couldn't remember anything right after chugging the third bottle. She massages her spinning head and tried to sit down. She looked around and thought how odd the room she's currently at and where her stuff is. She found her small hand bag at the end of her feet. She took out her phone and looked at the hour and its six in the morning. There's no reception to check where she at, at the map. Fearing that some hooligan brought her to some weird hotel. She quickly checked herself if there's something amiss. Other than her stiff neck and the after effects of alcohol, she feels fine. Her clothes are a little dirty and roughed. Her stuffs inside her bag are still there, nothing's missing at all. She stood up. Her feet sore from being stuck in her shoes for a day. She scans what's beyond the brown curtain. Seeing that she's alone, she stepped out and roam around and became a curious cat. The jars were full of fermented fruits and dried meats. And that, the hanging meats are real. Scary thoughts cross her head. "What if I'm actually in a serial killer's secret hideout and I'm just being left alone because he's busy killing something or someone else." A single drop of sweat slides down her back.

The tent's door suddenly opened making Aliya jump a little. A giant went in almost naked; he was double her size with a very built tanned body. A frosty silver eyes stares at her, his black hair is long and messy with two thin braids on each side with feathers adorning the ends.

Aliya's jaw dropped, "Holy shit, did I went in a role-playing hotel last night?"
