Chereads / His Personal Assistant / Chapter 3 - Jason McCauley

Chapter 3 - Jason McCauley

Ryan had been so pissed off today.

His mother had sent for him early this morning and he drove there, to find out what the problem was.

He drove to the house in record time, obeying all traffic rules making sure that he didn't over-speed or anything.

He had about an hour before he went to the company and went for his meeting.

He stopped in front of the estate, as the electronic gates opened and he drove in smoothly, parking his car beside his mother's car.

He got out of the car, as the gardeners and cleaners bowed their heads in greetings.

He met their butler, Pedro, waiting for him at the stairs. Pedro had been their butler, ever since he was a boy.

He was like family to them, as he sometimes overlooked the activities of the house, if his parents weren't around.

He had some grey hairs that were escaping its roots and also some wrinkles in his hands and around the eyes, but despite all that, he still looked fit enough to continue his duties.

"Good morning sir Ryan. How was your night?" I hope you had a splendid journey, He said bowing down.

"Good morning Pedro. My night was okay, is my mother awake?" He asked, glancing at the hallway.

"Yes, she had been awake since 6 am, she had been expecting you. She is currently studying, reading some papers and drinking coffee, I suppose." Pedro said.

"And my father? I didn't see his favourite car in the driveway." Ryan asked also.

"I am afraid that the master of the house had gone on an impromptu trip. But we are expecting him either today or tomorrow." Pedro replied

"Okay good. I guess I will head to the study now." He added as he walked into the hallway.

"I will have a maid send up a cup of coffee to you." Pedro yelled as he faded in the distance.

Pedro reached the door and paused. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door and waited.

"Come in!" His mother's clear and firm voice out loud, and it gave him goosebumps. Even as a child, he slightly tremble whenever he was in the presence of his mother.

His mother wasn't the kind, caring woman who cared about the welfare of her children.

She was the brash businesswoman who had no heart or showed sympathy and always got what she wanted....well almost always anyway.

"Can you hear that?" She said as Ryan paused in his tracks and listened. But all he could hear was still silence, the whole study was quiet as hell. Was this a trick question, he mused

"Cat got your tongue?" His mother asked as he replied

"No mother, I cannot hear anything." The whole place is calm. Ryan said slowly. He knew that reproach was fast coming from his mother.

"Impossible, that can't be. Try again, surely you hear this now?" His mother said using her hand to cover her ears slightly.

He listened once more and after a few minutes, he couldn't hear anything. Was there a secret sound that he couldn't hear or what? Were his ears bad? He asked himself.

"No mother, I cannot hear anything at all. The whole house is quiet." He said once more.

"Exactly, my point. The whole damned house is fucking empty. Do you know what it is supposed to be filled with?" She asked standing up, as she pulled a stick of cigarettes from her pocket.

"No mother, I am afraid that I have no idea what you are talking about. What is it supposed to be filled with?" Ryan said.

"CHILDREN! LITTLE GODFORSAKEN CHILDREN WITH THEIR PITTER-PATTER FEET AND THEIR LITTLE SECRETS." His mother yelled, throwing him off course for a few moments, as she raised her hands and threw them about.

For an old woman, his mother was probably the most active woman he had ever seen. Damn, that woman was loud, and he was three feet away from her, yet he could still wince.

"Oh, I see mother. Well, I am making plans."

"Don't you dare give me that same bullshit of making plans? For five good years, you have been making plans, and I haven't seen you with any fucking girl." His mother yelled as she puffed the smoke out at the same time.

This wasn't Ryan's mother, hell he never had a mother, just a military sergeant dressed in nightwear.

"I have been trying, mother. But things haven't been going according to plans. I have someone in mind already but he...she is not aware yet. Mother, I am trying my best, please give me some time." Ryan said, trying to pacify her.

"I don't care or give a fucking damn if you have to buy her a whole island or take her to the freaking moon before she agrees to marry you. I want her in my house before the year ends. The only reason that I haven't found a girl for you, is because you are an adult and I thought that you were finally mature enough to pick a girl, but you are still the same timid boy, who was stuck between wearing his sister's nightgown or wearing his own." The mother said, opening a fresh wound.

"Mother, please. Stop!" Ryan said, clenching his fists tightly.

"You are now giving me a headache. Now leave my sight. I will deal with you later, you may leave. In my calendar here, you have a meeting that starts in exactly 45 minutes. I suggest you leave this instantly." his mother replied as she faced the window.

Just then there was a knock on the door as a maid's voice timidly said. "Young Master Ryan. Sir Pedro sent me up here to bring you a cup of coffee."

"Keep the blasted coffee away, my son is leaving this instant." My mother said without giving me a backwards glance.

Ryan slowly walked out of the room as the maid curtsied in front of me, and he nodded and waved her away.

She walked away carrying the tray away as he made his way back to the hallway.

Ryan saw Pedro giving orders to the gardeners. Probably something about the flowers, he supposed.

He glanced up and looked at Ryan.

"Ah, Ryan, you are out already? I had thought that it was going to be a very long meeting. Are you having breakfast? What do you want to eat?" Pedro asked as I came closer.

"Nothing. I am leaving. Look after my mother for me." Ryan said as he climbed down the stairs and walked to the car.

"PEDRO!" He heard the madam of the house scream his name from the study and he immediately dashed in. It was terrible whenever she was in a bad mood. Sometimes he wondered how her husband had managed to live with her all these years.

Ryan entered his car and immediately started banging on his steering wheel as he tried to control his pain and anger. His mother had said some painful things to him, just because he hadn't been able to get a girl. It is not because he couldn't get one. Women run after him like bees after honey. The only reason he didn't want a girl is that he was attracted to a guy. And he had someone in mind, someone who always made him happy although he didn't know it.

Yes, he was gay. And nobody knew his secret. Being with a woman didn't arouse him at all, and he had to learn that the hard way. But his mother would never understand him. She was going to disown him, faster than he could even imagine.

That was why he kept it a secret and always told his mother the same excuse, over and over again.

Sighing deeply, he switched on his ignition and slowly manoeuvres out of the estate. Immediately the gates closed behind him, he zoomed off, leaving a cloud of dust in the distance.

Now after three hours of extensive meeting, he decided to meet with the IT guy after smashing two of his laptops to bits and he was nowhere to be found. Angrily he had stormed to his office and met only his partner, Sharon or Shirley. Whoever the fuck she was.

"Where. Is. He." I growled at her.

"Sir, hmm sir he is... Uhm the funny thing is."

"Do you want to face being sacked?" Ryan asked, towering over the poor girl.

"No sir." She replied timidly, as she bent down.

"Now tell me where he is." He continued.

"He...he hasn't come yet, sir." She admitted looking down.

"After fucking noon and he isn't here." Angrily he stormed out of the office, as he glanced at the main entrance. He was at the reception smiling at the receptionist.

Immediately he screamed

"JASON MCCAULLEY!, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU COMING FROM!"

**********

Jason shook his head as he took a deep breath and walked in. The receptionist's eyes widened as soon as she saw me. He walked to her table to sign in for the day.

"I am surprised, Jason. What the hell happened, you look like what the train ran over, why are you coming by this time, it is more than late. Are you trying to lose your job?" She said, looking at him from head to toe.

"I will tell you the whole story later, tell me, is Mr Ryan out of the meeting?" Jason had barely gotten the sentence out of his mouth when he heard the same familiar voice scream.

"JASON MCCAULLEY! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU COMING FROM?"

he turned and gulped. Mr Ryan was standing at the top of the stairs glaring at him, with so much anger and hatred that everyone could see it. he saw Shir standing at the balcony looking at him, with fear. Oh, come on.

"Mr Ryan, I can explain. He said slowly trying to think of a reasonable excuse or he could kiss his job goodbye.

"Meet me in my office right now." Jason said as he stormed away.

he gulped as he slowly followed him behind.

"He is so fired!" he could hear a fellow employee

My heart broke into a trillion pieces.

"I am so sorry." Shir mouthed to him as he passed her. In front was the almighty office, people who always entered there, hoped to come out unscathed.

He paused outside the door when he heard his deep voice speak.

"Come inside."

"How the hell did he know that he was outside." "Damn! Was my breathing that noticeable?" he thought

he walked in as he closed the door silently behind me. This was the office of the rich and mighty. All objects here were made of expensive real Golds. Even the fucking chair.

walking timidly to the table as he stood and awaited the worst.

"Where the hell have you been?" He asked.

"I was....at home," he replied.

"At home? All this while, you can't even come up with a reasonable excuse to give me. It seems that you truly want to be sacked."

"No sir, I do not. But I also don't want to lie to you, sir. he replied.

"I see. Okay so why are you late? What happened?"

"It was hungover....by accident. And my alarm didn't wake me."

"Your alarm... Your fucking alarm didn't..... Okay, okay." He said trying to control his outburst.

"I am sorry sir. It won't happen again." Jason said slowly, as Ryan stared at him without saying anything. He was just breathing heavily, not taking his eyes off him. Jason returned the stare and they locked glances for about five minutes.

Jason could feel something stirring within him, as he stared at his boss. But Ryan was the first to break contact and said."

"Go drop your fucking bag on the table, in your office and get back in here this instant." Ryan said as Jason blinked my eyes.

"Wait, I am not fired?" He asked surprised.

"Do you want me to change my mind?" Ryan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No sir, thank you, sir. You are the best." Jason gushed out excitedly as he rushed out.

Immediately Ryan bit his lips as he tried to lessen his boner which was poking a small tent, in his jeans, his precum already licking out.
