Volume 1 - Martial Arts Desire: Ueda Masato's desire is to become a martial artist. He's been reincarnated in the world of Dragon Ball but has nothing to his name and has barely managed to make money since he came to this world.

In order to achieve his goal, he decides to visit the nearest big city so that he could find information on those martial arts schools that could teach how to use Qi.

- On his way to Central City he meets a character with influence and the ability to put him on the right track (Tights)

- Tights is a beautiful girl and criminality in those big cities is quite flashed out, even though the police aren't that bad, criminals still act without care and accidents often happen. Because she was also playing Azuki An's double she is dressed in a way that highlights her beauty even more which unfortunately attracts the attention of a few street thugs.

- Enraged by their actions, Masato confronts them and they get into a fight. Masato has experience with Martial Arts from his previous life and shows how he can hold the fort even though he isn't much stronger than his enemies. Taking down the three thugs with difficulty, his actions attract a big crowd.

- The police come to them and bring them for interrogation at the police station, after hearing the explanation and collecting enough evidence, the detective in charge of the case gets pleasantly surprised and invites Masato to join the force, even though he is a kid, there's no law that stops him from becoming a police officer.

- Masato and Tights were then freed and allowed to leave. Because of a gang war, the detective doesn't have enough time in his hands to explain all the benefits of joining the force. The two leave and Tights invites Masato to sleep in her house as she has a free guest room piling up dust.

- Living together with Tights, Masato spends most of his time training as he waits for news of the Detective that only told him about the potential salary of working in the force. One day, however, Masato accidentally overhears two high-ranking members of the Spiked Hair Gang and discovers that they are planning to destroy the police stations in their area and kill all of the police officers working there.

- Bringing this information over to the police, Masato joins them in an ambush operation where he assists them in capturing not only the Medieval Gang but also their allies, the Spiked Hair gang.

- With the danger out of the way, Masato is invited to have a talk with the same detective from before in his office.

- Being told of the benefits and the situation which would entail the recruitment of a kid, he decides to agree and stay to become an officer, he joins the King's Police Force and is allowed access into the KPG Dojo where he is then trained by Master Murango Fulfilling then his desire to at least join a martial arts school. Although it's not of a higher enough level to allow him to train Qi, when he witnessed the power of Master Murango who is able to punch a hole on the wall, he knew that he would never be able to achieve that level with his conventional training so he decides to stay for at least a few years so that he could prepare for the World Martial Arts Tournament that would happen 4 years later in the year 740

- The day after joining the Police Force, he goes to Azuki An's show where he watches Tights performance as her double.

- On his way out of the show, he meets with Tights and finally discovers her identity when her father, mother, and sister appear to congratulate her on the exit.
