Pershey Adejar's Point Of View

"W-wait, S-sir!" I muttered. I didn't know that Neil had been talking to me before. My help is great. Did I know that he was already in front of me? I didn't want to sleep. If I only knew Neil would approach me, I wish I hadn't fallen asleep. I have no intention of sleeping. My only intention is to take a nap. I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep.

"Why?" he asked. He turned his back near the door.

'Just a moment! My heart beats so fast. He replied! He didn't laugh at me! My heart is going to explode! '

There was another butterfly flying inside my stomach. I can feel the heat on my cheeks but my palms are cold and sweaty.

'Why didn't I even realize that he was in front of me before? I couldn't even see his face. Am I crazy? '

I looked again at his library card I was holding. He looks so cute on his picture. I can see how he looks so handsome whenever he's smiling. His face was often as serious and often frowning.

I lowered his card for a moment. I didn't notice that there were so many things haunting my mind. I didn't even notice that he was stepping away.

"W-wait!" I stuttered. He took one step before he stopped. He soon turned to me. There was no expression on his face. I couldn't fathom what he was thinking and feeling. I don't know if he's also screwed with me. By the way, speaking of weirdness, is he also weird to me? Do I look like a nerd in his eyes? Is that so?

'Pershey! Think fast! Maybe he'll leave again! '

Just now we were staring each other. Only now did he look at me like that. Is he ... falling inlove with me? Just kidding. I know he's not.

"H-how many books you borrowed?"

"You can't see?" He lifted the book he was holding. "Only one," he sarcastically said, then he leave.

'I thought he would never talk to me that way again.'

I took a deep breath. I looked again at the library card I was holding now. "N-neil," I whispered. I gasped. I feel annoyance and trembling. "Shit," I said disgustedly. "Shit, Pershey! Such a stupid," I added. I gripped my hair so tightly that I almost tweaked myself or banged my head against a wall or desk. "What a mess," I complained.

"See? He snobbed you, Pershey," Iries said insultingly. I shot her an evil look but Iries just grinned at me. Such a bitch. "You can't get him just by donating books," she added. "He's not a stupid as you, Pershey. Don't expect for more, my cousin. Why? Because you were like that. Get it?" Iries continued. Before she laugh, she drank the juice she was holding. "Pershey, you're the richest student of this University. You can do whatever you want. Why don't you try to change yourself for him to like you back? But ... as if!" she added, teasing me is her favorite. I don't hit her anymore because I don't want trouble. I don't want a fight between Iries and me.

I smiled bitterly, "Iries," I called. Maybe she'll just keep quiet when I speak.

I couldn't go on what I was going to say next because she spoke again.

"Pershey, you know ... you're the most beautiful woman in this University, specifically with your uncombed hair, everyday," she laughed. I like to go to school without combing my hair! Duhh!

"You can be a model of this University. Think about it, Pershey Adejar."

I knew she was just teasing. She won't let me down right away.

"Iries," I called again. "What did you come here for? Just to annoy me? Don't you have anything else good to say?"

"Actually, I have a lot of things to tell you, Pershey. For what? For you to realize the value of every things in this world."

Is she serious? To realize the value of every things in this world? Hahaha. I knew it.

"You can tell me one by one, Iries. Don't make me a stupid."

"You're already a stupid, Pershey. Chasing a guy is a stupidity of yours. Expecting more is a stupidity, every expectations will just hurt you. Wasting your time and money are your stupidity. Pershey, you're a stupid woman I ever know. "

"Are you done?"

Iries smiled. She came even closer to me and pulled my hair behind my ear. "Not yet," she whispered.

"Don't touch me, Iries." I warned. I was a little taken aback by what she was doing. I really don't understand where her anger at me is coming from. We are blood relatives but she considers me as a mortal enemy.

"Don't touch you? Why? Are you gold?" She covered her mouth and blushed. "Oww, I forgot that you're gold," she said. "But," she even stroked my cheek. "Yes, you're gold, but you can't see your worth and value," she continued.

'What does she mean?'

"Stop teasing me, Iries. You won't like it when I talk to you the same way."

Iries nodded. "Then go, Pershey. Speak now."

I don't want to reminisce about the past. I don't want to fight. She will tempt me as much as she wants, but, I don't know what will happen after.

"Won't you stop? Aren't you tired of tailing me? Don't you have anyone else to talk to? Where are your henchmen? Am I the only person here at university, Iries? I'm always the one you 're targeting. "

I'm really the one she always sees. I'm her cousin but I don't think so. She doesn't want me to be her friend or even close to each other.

"You can't understand me until you have no understanding. You can't understand what I'm saying because you seem to be blind and dumb. You lead your blind neighbor and you talk to your dumb neighbor."

Dumb? Blind? What did she think of me? Stupid? Is that really how I am described? Aside from being a nerd, weird and old woman, now, I look so stupid in her eyes. I never became right to her.

"Get out," I commanded. She had better leave in front of me. I may not be able to hold back yet. I might just get overwhelmed and say bad things to her.

I tries to calm myself down so that there will be no fight between us. "Leave the library before my blood boils in you," I threatened. Iries just laughed and looked down in front of me.

"Don't you want to know what I really mean here?" she asked.

"You've been talking before, Iries. You've been talking so much and you haven't said what you really mean here."

"Relax, Pershey."

"Go now, tell me now."

"Someone is looking for you, Pershey. He's outside of the campus."

My forehead furrowed. I wonders who Iries is referring to looking for me. I couldn't figure out who's man was looking for me.

Curiously, I asked, "He's looking for me?" I raised my left eyebrow.

Iries nodded again and smiled before she speak, "Yeah. Okay, I better go."

I first sat down on the table as I wondered which man was looking for me. Surprisingly, this was the first time that there's a man looking for a nerd like me. Tsk. Disgusting day.

Impossible! Maybe, she's just kidding me. I know that kind of movement.

"Hayst, disgusting. I'm having a headache now. It's impossible that Caleb is the man looking for me. But, who? Why?"

I shook my head and turned a blind eye. I don't want to talk anymore. Students might think I'm crazy.

"Shit. I need to sleep for a while," I said.
