Alex's POV:
I never understood the mechanics behind a women's brain, the way they process thoughts, the mood swings, and most of all the sudden change of heart. I was completely helpless at the party and was very much regretting asking Kara to accompany me. Not because I was ashamed of her or anything but because she was clearly uncomfortable and the way her temper was sparking with each counter with a guest that in my opinion shouldn't have even been invited.
But the thing that irritated me the most was Veronica, why was mom even inviting her? She had made clear from the very start that she doesn't approve of her and now saw her here after so many months or was it almost a year? I really have no idea, I tend to pay no attention to irrelevant things, anyways put a damper on my mood and I wasn't sure what it did to Kara's mood.
