I blinked and then took a sip of my hot chocolate, which by the way is not as bad as the iced coffee. I blinked again but this time I put back the cup on the table. I blinked another time and put my hands on the table. I counted to five in my head and then blinked before interlacing my fingers.
I would have continued blinking but it was giving me a headache. Moreover, I can't sit here and wait for Matt to get out of his shock. I waved my fingers in front of his eyes and sapped my fingers for extra effect. That ought to have done the deal because now it was his turn to blink that too rapidly.
He was sitting across from me hands in his jacket's pockets adorning the most serious expression I have seen him in and he was scaring me. Is he judging me now? Or is he judging Alex? I couldn't tell him the whole truth about Alex's parents although it would have been better I chose to omit that part out, anyway it wasn't my story to tell and Alex trusted me with a secret and I shall keep it.
