(This is the continuation of the last chapter but in Alex's POV)
I don't remember when was the last time I was this excited to see someone happy, that too at a party. Even back in college I would attend for the sake of attending but I would never stay there for more than 15, max 20 minutes then I'll be on my merry way.
Today, we have been at this party for over an hour and Kara is in no way ready to leave just yet. I have been sitting on the bar stool with the same bottle of beer that I had an hour ago, the drink has gone piss warm but I don't mind because I am not intending to drink it, I am the designated driver for today and I need to keep an eye on the drunk eager male species here, that for some reason our trying to get real close to her.
"Are you just going to sit here and frown?" Jack occupied the chair next to mine.
"You've got a problem with that?" I wasn't frowning, was I? I loosened my stiff muscles and took a sip of the beer and instantly regretted it.
