CHAPTER 24
Unknown to Jade, they had seen a guy there and thought drinking with him would help her loosen up. Of course, this truth was hidden from her, so when she got there, they got her favourite drink and told her they were coming but not before winking to the guy and giving the go-ahead.
Seeing this, for some unknown reason, Jake felt angry. He felt disgusted a bit that the attitude.
Her being there alone already made his blood heat up.
She was going to be married to him but she came here to be with men! The effrontery!
His heart and mind could not take it. Just then Ian placed a hand on his now shaking fingers and shook his head before whispering to him.
"Watch. She seems different for some reason."
Almost everyone knew about it. Their families weren't rich for nothing for the public not to be on you.
The usual Jade would have made noise by now the second she entered the club and made men drool from their seats.
Though she looked loosed at parties, that was not the case. Part of her going here was to escape the loneliness she got whenever she wanted her parents to love her.
It had started that way and after a while, she did not get their attention just that when her mother complained, her father would say leave her.
She wanted their scolding, at least it told her they cared for her but the one she wanted it from the most was not eager to give it to her.
Jay felt it was one of those teenage years and ignored it focusing more on work.
So she grew accustomed to using it to escape her sadness.
Regardless she did not like when a man touched her. She felt irritated. Her OCD was something she was born with yet she behaved contrary when she danced.
Still, she was on a no touchie spree unless she liked you and allowed you. Other than that, you stood no chance with the almighty Jade.
Of course, her friends did not understand this about her and were happy seeing her always happy.
At the end, when she got home, she was back to reality and a far apart family.
Watching her, Jake changed his seat and sat close to Ian as she became his television for the night.
Nothing the guys said even mattered to him anymore, just that he wanted to see her for himself.
"Dude calms down, she is hot. Be happy that your wife is hot."
Jake shot Zane a cold look. What guy would be happy that his hot soon to be bride was at a club with other men?
"Chillax. From what I have heard, she is a freebee but she has her OCDs to worry about. So calm down. She ain't a flirt," Liam assured.
"I am even surprised by her outfit though. Normally she wore something more exposing than this but this seems okay," Ian added.
For Aria, this was the first thing she saw amongst the sea of clothes that were revealing that looked okay and she wore it. Especially because of the midway cut open back.
Her friends said to dress hot, so that was her definition of hot at the moment.
"Fine."
It took all of his willpower to just calm his lips shut and just watch what was going to happen.
Heaven knew that if the lad so much as lay a finger in her, he might lose it but as to why he wasn't sure.
"By the way, I thought you do not like her, so why are you feeling agitated about how she is living her life?"
"She is going to be my wife and the image of my company. Don't you think I mind that? I am a bloody businessman."
"Well then businessman, sit and watch your stock go high. And for the rest order, your babe is damn hot. You're lucky," Ian added while winking at him.
Rolling his eyes at him, Jake moved his friend's hand from his body and focused his attention on Jade.
After a few minutes later of she just standing by the bar and not doing anything nor sipping the drink, he saw the guy in particular move from where he sat to her left before and came to stand by her.
"Hello." He placed a hand on hers holding the cup and to Jake's surprise, she pulled her hand away immediately and looked to the side then created a reasonable gap between them as she focused on the drink in her hand.
"Hey, sorry. I have been watching you. You know that goes into your mouth, right?"
Not saying anything Jade nodded her head but she did not look at him either.
Her whole mind was on her reaction earlier. She knew the rich and might Jade had OCD but she had not expected that with her death, it would still be into her person and her body would react whether she recalled it or not.
She felt like washing her hand but managed to calm herself and just manage a normal conversation since the dude in question wasn't planning on letting her be.
"I'm Albion. You?"
"Jade."
"Nice to meet you, Jade. Care for a shake?" He had to ask to avoid a situation as before from repeating itself.
Smiling to herself, she shook her head then looked at him.
It was the first time she saw him that night. He had lovely brown hair with peculiar brown eyes mirroring the dept of one's soul. His lovely jawline made his already V line-shaped face look even more gorgeous.
At this moment she knew what this was. Her friends had done this.
Speaking of friends, she turned around now facing the crowd only to see them with two different guys, drinking and laughing like they were having the time of her life.
She shook her head. Guess she really was alone. While she was busy in her thought zone, hos cold calm voice broke her off again.
"Wanna join in the fun?"
Jade turned around, shaking her head and finally, she lifted her hand bringing it to her lips and took a sip.
