"Rose!" Jia, Fiona and Chase yelled as the vine yanked her up and tossed her to the left. She hit a tree with a thud and landed on her side. Jia and Fiona were about to run to their friend when a vine shot out towards them from the right.
"Jia get behind me!" Roy yelled as he pulled his cousin back while Fiona dropped down to doge the vine. All around them the vines started shooting towards them. They were brown and green, easily blending in with the environment. The only thing that was different about them was the three talons attached them. They looked really sharp and deadly.
While Roy activated his plasma shield, the other boys did the same. Rose was still on the ground, gasping and trying to push herself up. She cried out and grabbed her left side. When the vines turned their attention to her and shot towards her, a plasma trident shoot three of them down. In a split second, three plasma blasts took out some of them.
