Chapter 11 - Unique Physique?

"Principal, watch this." Said a large burly man, bursting into the room and slamming a genesis rune on to the table which cracked down the centre and almost collapsed from the impact.

The principal smiled as if it was perfectly normal, placing his hand on the rune and injecting his Profound Qi into it. "Bruce, normally this would be around the time you complain about how cowardly your class is this year."

A projection appeared inside the room replicating the fight between Grey and Shen Tu as he looked on with interest. "Why the difference this year?"

Bruce slammed his hands down again with an angered expression causing the table holding the rune to shatter and fall to ground, He began to shout "That's because they are cowardly! When will you find me a worthwhile class to teach? Wait, That isn't why I am here. Keep watching."

The principal waved his hand causing the multple pieces of the now shattered wooden table to reconnect before letting out a short laugh, "As I say every year. they're only children. Expecting greatness from someone without the chance to learn is impossible. That's the job of a teacher."

The principle looked back at the projection, "Grey huh, he clearly has no real battle experience. Why are you so excited by this?"

Bruce let out a snort unwilling to respond before violently grabbed a chair sitting across from the principal.

As the principal watched. More and more of the fight passed. From Shen Tu almost securing his victory to Grey gradually beginning to pressure his adversary. Even he with his vast experience gradually grew shocked. Bruce burst into laughter, "Even the all-knowing principle is shocked by this, what do you think?"

The principle stroked his beard thoughtfully for a second before speaking, "I have two guesses. First, he was simply pretending to be weak for some reason we don't know. This is rather impossible though with our experience and strength we would atleast be able to see clues of this

Second also seems rather impossible though. This is that he has some kind of unique physique that allows him to be naturally talented in battle."

"It could also be something else. It's hard for someone to know everything, even more so in our current situation." The principal began to happily laugh as per usual, "Whichever it is, this is a good thing for the Lunarreach kingdom."

"Unique physique?" Bruce asked as he had clearly never heard of it before now.

The principal nodded before continuing, "It's normal you haven't heard of such things. After the old Kings' passing, nobody in the kingdom possesed the strength to pass through the surrounding Lunarreach forest.

Since we are technically on the borders of the monsters territory, there are many with strength succeeding my own and hence after the current king cut off our connection to the martial alliance have no way to get information from the outside anymore."

The principal let out a bitter smile recollecting his past memories. "Back when the old king used to return from outside he used to tell us about the many things he experienced such as people with a unique physique.

They are people blessed by the heavens with natural advantages over others in certain aspects depending on the type of physique. Of course this requires a cultivator to possess great luck and meet certain conditions during their birth. Our low level kingdom has never seen this before."

Of course, Grey knew that his ability was related to his bloodline and had nothing to do with any unique physique but with their limited knowledge it was already rather impressive for the principal to make such a guess.

"It's truly pitiable that he wasn't here a few decades earlier otherwise we most likely would not be in this situation. The chance of him surviving the attack of the martial alliance is too low. We just have to hope he can grow fast enough."

At this point Bruce intersected, "Principal what is the background of this Grey?"

The principal stood up and looked out of the window, "He is one of the two A rank talents that participated in the tests this year. As for where he is from or who he is we have no idea, nobody saw how he arrived in the Kingdom. He just appeared in the streets one day with a pitiful appearence. I also find it rather baffling but if he isn't willing to answer then we can't risk forcing him."

Bruce jumped up in anger resulting in the table being smashed apart for the second time, "How are we supposed to trust the fate of a kingdom with an unknown child?!"

The principal chuckled to himself, "I know. Hard to believe isn't it? A mighty kingdom leaving it's hope on children who haven't even grown up. If one of us could break through to the fifth realm and take us out of here it would be great but we have neither the resources nor the knowledge to do such things."

Bruce continued shouting in anger, "We could atleast try to do something! I will go fight my way through the forest and get someone to help us or something!"

The principal laughed at him, "Bruce, since back when you were my student all you ever wanted to do was fight. Even if i personally went we would have at most a 20% chance of making it through and who would be willing to help us either way. You should leave."

Bruce stomped on the floor shaking the entire room leaving before slamming the door behind himself.
