Chereads / My Half Mates / Chapter 22 - Discovering the truth - 3

Chapter 22 - Discovering the truth - 3

After the fight, I was exhausted. My parents, seeing my fatigue, whisked me away to their castle, a beautiful and ancient stronghold nestled in the heart of a lush forest.

As we arrived, I was struck by the castle's grandeur. Towers and turrets rose high into the sky, and the walls were adorned with intricate carvings and shimmering tapestries.

My parents led me to a cozy chamber, filled with soft cushions and warm firelight. I collapsed onto the bed, feeling like I was melting into the softness.

My mother, smiling, brought me a steaming cup of tea, filled with soothing herbs and sweet honey. My father sat beside me, his eyes warm with love and concern.

"Rest now, our little snow princess," he said. "You've earned it. We'll talk later, when you're feeling stronger."

I nodded, asking for my friends "Um what about Fenris,Lucian and Ezekiel.? " while sipping the tea, feeling my eyelids growing heavy.

" They went to their home they will be here before you wake up Princess now rest you need it " she said .

I nod. Before leaving my room they kissed my forehead tucking me to bed. Wishing me a good night. Now I really feel like I am at my real home but what about my another parents. Oh shit.!! I have to contact them. But I will think about it tomorrow.!! For now I need rest.

I slept for hours, lulled by the sound of crackling flames and the gentle hum of the castle.

When I woke, I felt refreshed and renewed. As I scan through my room I found my phone at the night stand table. Immediately grabing the phone i call my parents.

Mom " Hello Esme " sobbing " Why didn't you call for two days, we were worried about you, we even called Daisy she said you were busy with extra classes and with extra assignment , is everything alright Esme."

" Yes mom everything is alright so I had a little project which i had to complete so I was so busy with writing and all, I forgot to call you mom" while taking a deep breath.

They smile with a cheering voice " It's okay Esme we understand we just were just worried because this is the first time for us too that you are staying so far away from us "

Dad cough a little " what your mom meant is she miss you so much kiddo "

I nod " I know I miss you guys so much too "

" I miss you too princess anyway take care of yourself I know you might be busy atleast call us once in a day that all we are asking " dad with a little sobbing sound

" Dad don't cry, i am sorry I will call you guys everyday I promise if not then the day after tomorrow now are you happy " with a excitement and kissing through the phone I reply them

Laughing " your dad and me heard it princess now attend the class we will talk later bye bye sweetheart" Dad " Bye sweetheart we love you "

" Bye mom and Dad I love you too guys " Then I cut the call and it's time to face my real parents who bring me here let's hear their story then I will know what was there stor too .!

As I raise from my bed , I look outside it's so beautiful up here. It's time to take a shower and face the world not only them the real truth of my friends too. One thing is clear they are not human neither am I.

A few minutes later -----

Shower is what I need, after wearing some clothes whatever I had in this wardrobe I change and went to downstairs to face my real mom, dad and my friends too.

My parents were waiting for me, smiling, and we spent the day getting to know each other.

They are the King and Queen in this place. My mother name is Aurora just like a light and my Father name is Raymond. We walked in the castle gardens, talking about everything and nothing. My mother showed me her favorite flowers, and my father taught me about the ancient history of the castle.

I felt like I was discovering a whole new world, one that was full of wonder and magic. And I was grateful to have my parents by my side, guiding me every step of the way.

As the sun began to set, we sat down to a feast in the grand hall. The tables were laden with delicious food, and the room was filled with laughter and music.

I felt like a princess, surrounded by love and luxury. And I knew that I would never forget this day, this moment of pure happiness.

But as the night wore on, I knew that I couldn't stay in this bubble of happiness forever. I had to face the reality of Malakai's threat, and do something to stop him.

I looked at my parents, and saw the determination in their eyes. We would face whatever lay ahead, together, as a family.

The next morning, Aurora and Raymond sat with Lucian, Fenris, Ezekiel, and Esmeray in the grand hall of the castle. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of emotions - joy, relief, and a hint of sadness.

Aurora took a deep breath, her eyes welling up with tears. "We've been searching for you, little snow, since the day you were born. You were taken from us, kidnapped by Archon's followers just one day after your birth."

Raymond's face hardened, his jaw clenched in anger. "We've been searching for you ever since, following every lead, every hint. We never gave up hope that we'd find you."

Esmeray's eyes widened, her tiny hands reaching out to her real parents. Aurora and Raymond took turns holding her close, tears of joy streaming down their faces.

Lucian, Fenris, and Ezekiel exchanged a glance, their hearts heavy with emotion. They knew that Esmeray's journey had been marked by darkness and danger, but she was now safe, surrounded by love. And not only that it's their time to reveal their true identity too. Although she have seen it and she might know what they are but still she has a right to know the true self of her friends or maybe more.

Aurora continued, "Little snow we knew that Archon would stop at nothing to claim your power for himself."

Raymond nodded, his eyes locked on Esmeray. "But we're together now, as a family. We'll never let anyone harm you again."

Esmeray cooed, her tiny hands grasping her parents' fingers. The room was filled with a sense of peace, a sense of closure. The journey had been long and arduous, but in the end, love had triumphed. But she is not ready to call them mom and dad because they have so much to know for eachother and it's a long process.

Aurora while sobbing "I think now it's time you know our story how you were taken from us"

In the past after Esme birth ----

Aurora and Raymond, Esmeray's parents, had been searching for their daughter for years. She was kidnapped at birth, and they had been following every lead, every hint.

Years later, they sensed that Esmeray might be in their city, starting her studies at the University. They began to search for her, but she was hiding her powers, unaware of her true identity.

As they closed in on her location, they sensed a sudden surge in her powers. She was in danger. They rushed to her side, arriving just as she was fighting the Shadow King, Archon.

With Lucian, Fenris, and Ezekiel by her side, they are protecting our daughter that means their she might be their daughter. Because they are not human but atleast they are in the bright side not liking the dark magic ever. As we approached we saw you lying on the floor and we sense your white energy that's the moment we know that you are our long lost little snow. Sobbing both our little princess which we were looking for. That is the reason they joined the fight to save their long lost daughter. Esmeray was battling the darkness. Aurora and Raymond joined the fight, their powers combining with their daughter's to defeat Archon.

In the aftermath, they finally met their daughter, embracing her with tears of joy. Esmeray had found her true family, and her journey was far from over.

After the fight , as they hugged Esmeray tightly, Aurora and Raymond felt a mix of emotions: joy, relief, and a hint of sadness for the years they had missed. Esmeray, sensing their emotions, held them close, her powers glowing softly.

Lucian, Fenris, and Ezekiel watched, smiling, as the family reunited. They knew that Esmeray's journey was far from over, but for now, she was safe, surrounded by love.

Aurora and Raymond pulled back, gazing at Esmeray with tears in their eyes. "We've missed so much," Aurora whispered. "Tell us everything."

Esmeray smiled, taking a deep breath. "I've got a lot to tell," she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

And so, surrounded by her loved ones, Esmeray began to tell her story – of magic, adventure, and self-discovery. Her parents listened, entranced, as Lucian, Fenris, and Ezekiel added their own tales, weaving a rich tapestry of love and friendship.

As the night wore on, Esmeray's powers glowed brighter, filling the room with a warm, golden light. She knew she had found her true family, and nothing would ever tear them apart again.

Present time ---

After their story,

Fenris Truth ----

Fenris, with a knowing glint in her eye, took Esmeray's hand and led her to a separate room, away from her parents and Lucian. Ezekiel followed, his eyes fixed on Fenris with a curious expression.

As they entered the room, Fenris turned to Esmeray, her voice low and mysterious. "It's time you knew the truth about me, Esme. I am not just a wolf, nor just a king. I am a guardian, a protector of ancient secrets and powers."

Esmeray's eyes widened, her mind racing with questions. Fenris smiled, her teeth sharp and white.

"I am the last of the Lunar Bloodline, a lineage of powerful beings who harnessed the magic of the moon. And you, Esme are the key to unlocking our greatest secret."

Ezekiel stepped forward, his eyes shining with excitement. "Fenris, what do you mean?"

Fenris's gaze locked onto Esmeray. "You, Esme, are the descendant of our greatest enemy, the one who sought to destroy our bloodline. But you also hold the power to restore our legacy, to bring back the light of the moon."

Esmeray's mind reeled, trying to process the revelation. Fenris's true self, her powers, and her connection to the moon – it was all so much to take in.

Fenris's eyes seemed to bore into Esmeray's soul, as if searching for something. "You have the heart of our enemy, but also the power to redeem us. I will teach you the ways of the Lunar Bloodline, and together, we will bring back the light of the moon."

Esmeray's mind raced with questions, but before she could ask any, Fenris continued. "But first, you must understand your own powers, your own heritage. Come, let me show you."

Fenris led Esmeray to a large, ornate mirror. The glass seemed to ripple, like water, as Fenris touched it. Images began to appear, like whispers from the past.

Esmeray saw a great battle, between the Lunar Bloodline and a dark sorcerer. She saw the sorcerer's victory, and the Bloodline's downfall. And she saw a young girl, with eyes like her own, wielding a power that seemed to rival the moon itself.

Fenris's voice whispered in her ear. "That is your ancestor, Esme. The one who brought about our downfall. But also, the one who holds the key to our redemption."

Esmeray's eyes widened, as the truth began to dawn on her. She was the key to restoring the Lunar Bloodline, to bringing back the light of the moon. And Fenris, the wolf king, was her guide on this journey.

As Esmeray gazed deeper into the mirror, Fenris's grip on her shoulder tightened. "But there is more, Esme. Another secret, another truth."

Ezekiel Truth ----

Ezekiel stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. "It is time, Fenris. Time for Esme to know the truth about me."

Fenris nodded, and Ezekiel's gaze locked onto Esmeray's. "I am not just a vampire, Esme. I am the last of the Eternal Bloodline, a lineage of beings cursed with immortality."

Esmeray's eyes widened, her mind reeling with the implications. "Cursed?" she repeated.

Ezekiel's smile was bitter. "Yes, cursed. Forced to walk the earth forever, watching as civilizations rise and fall. But I have found a new purpose, Esme. A new reason to exist."

Fenris's voice whispered in Esmeray's ear. "Ezekiel has been searching for a way to break the curse, to find redemption. And he believes you, Esme, hold the key."

Esmeray's gaze locked onto Ezekiel's, and she saw the depth of his pain, the weight of his immortal existence. And in that moment, she knew she would help him, no matter the cost.

Ezekiel's eyes seemed to bore into Esmeray's soul, as if searching for a glimmer of hope. "I have walked the earth for centuries, Esme, watching as humanity grew and evolved. But with each passing year, I felt myself growing colder, more disconnected from the world of the living."

Fenris's grip on Esmeray's shoulder tightened. "But then he found you, Esme. And with you, a chance to break the curse."

Esmeray's mind raced with questions, but before she could ask any, Ezekiel continued. "I believe that together, we can find a way to restore my mortality. To let me feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, to taste the sweetness of life."

Lucian, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "And I will help you, Ezekiel. Together, we will find a way to break the curse."

Esmeray's heart swelled with emotion, as she realized the depth of their friendship. "We'll do it together," she said, her voice firm. "We'll find a way to break the curse, and restore your mortality."

Ezekiel's face seemed to relax, as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. "Thank you, Esme. Thank you, Lucian. Together, we can do this."

And with that, the four of them formed a bond, a promise to stand together against the forces of darkness, and to fight for a brighter future.

Lucian Truth ----

As they stood united, Lucian's eyes gleamed with an inner fire. "I have a confession to make, my friends," he said, his voice low and mysterious.

Esmeray's heart skipped a beat, sensing something momentous.

"I am not just a warrior," Lucian continued. "I am a demon, a being of ancient power and magic."

Fenris's eyes narrowed, intrigued. "What kind of demon?"

Lucian's smile was fierce. "I am a Kyrexi, a demon of the inner flames. My power is tied to the very core of the earth."

Ezekiel's eyes widened. "What how come you never tell me about this i knew something was off your energy was something else beyond vampire and werewolf but I never even in my dream imagine that it would be Demon. But now I understand why didn't you tell us about this power. The Kyrexi are legendary. Their power is said to be boundless."

Lucian's gaze locked onto Esmeray's. "But my power is not just destructive. It can also be creative, healing. And with Esme help, I can master it."

Esmeray's mind reeled, trying to comprehend the magnitude of Lucian's revelation. A demon, with powers tied to the earth's core? What did this mean for their quest?

Fenris's voice cut through the silence. "This changes everything. With Lucian's power, we can—"

"But at what cost?" Ezekiel interrupted. "Demon power comes with a price. What will Lucian sacrifice to wield it?"

Lucian's face darkened, his eyes burning with an inner fire. "I will sacrifice nothing. I will master my power, and use it to protect Esme, and our world."

Esmeray's heart swelled with faith in Lucian. Together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead.

"What's next?" she asked, her voice firm.

Lucian's smile was fierce. "We journey to the Heartforge, a place where ancient magic dwells. There, I will unlock my true potential, and we will forge a new destiny."

The four of them stood united, ready to face the unknown, their bond stronger than ever.

As they journeyed towards the Heartforge, the four of them grew closer, their bond strengthening with each passing moment. Esmeray couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest whenever Lucian, Fenris, or Ezekiel was near.

As they sat around a fire place Lucian turned to Esmeray with a fierce gaze. "Esme, from the moment I met you, I knew you were different. You're the missing piece to my soul."

Fenris nodded in agreement. "I feel it too, Esme. You're the one I want to spend eternity with."

Ezekiel's eyes burned with intensity. "I've walked the earth for centuries, but never have I felt this way about anyone. Esme, I love you."

Esmeray's heart skipped a beat as she looked at the three men she had grown to love. "I love you too," she whispered. "All of you."

Lucian's face lit up with a radiant smile. "We're your mates, Esme. Together, we'll face whatever comes our way."

Fenris took her hand, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "We'll protect you, love you, and cherish you forever."

Ezekiel's eyes gleamed with happiness. "We're in this together, always."

As the four of them embraced, their love and connection igniting a fierce passion, Esmeray knew that nothing could ever break their bond.

And so, with their love confessed and their hearts united, they continued their journey to the Heartforge, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

As they prepared to depart for the Heartforge, Esmeray felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. What lay ahead? What challenges would they face?

Fenris, sensing her unease, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We will face whatever comes together, as a family."

Ezekiel nodded in agreement. "And with Lucian's power, we will be unstoppable."

Lucian's eyes gleamed with determination. "Let us go. The Heartforge awaits."

With that, the four of them set off towards the Heartforge, ready to face whatever lay ahead. As they journeyed deeper into the unknown, Esmeray felt her powers growing stronger, her connection to her mates deepening.

Suddenly, Lucian stopped, his head cocked to the side. "Do you hear that?" he whispered.

Esmeray listened, and soon, she heard it too - a low rumbling, like thunder in the distance.

Fenris's eyes narrowed. "What is that?"

Ezekiel's face darkened. "I don't know, but I don't like it."

Lucian's gaze locked onto Esmeray's. "Get ready. Whatever is coming, we'll face it together."

And with that, the four of them stood united, ready to face the unknown, their bond and determination their greatest weapons.
