It's cold, freezing cold as I walk through the desolate street. I am dressed in all black, a fitting camouflage for the starless night. The air is cold, so cold that my breath freezes as I exhale, but the anticipation of what's to come is like a roaring fire in my veins warming me up.
I walk down the street, listening intently to my surroundings, then
I hear footsteps, my prey has finally arrived. I wonder what's she's doing walking alone on this desolate night, wrapped up in her thoughts maybe. I shake my head clearing my thoughts, it's never good to think about my victims, I prefer they remain nameless and faceless, little more than inanimate objects. I continue stalking her, moving soundlessly towards my prey, it's almost too easy. I finally catch up to her, she doesn't seem to be aware of my presence, that's too bad, I find it intriguing when they try to fight. I guess that's the predator in me.
I can feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins, my blood pumping, this is what I live for, what I was born to do. Some were born to be artists, professionals, I on the other hand was born to kill. I pull out the syringe in my bag slowly, every movement precise, then I tap on her shoulder smiling; she looks at me and in a split second, before she could think or even breathe, I strike, jamming the syringe in her neck.
She falls at my feet, her face frozen in an expression of utmost surprise. I almost pity her, almost being the key word. Suddenly, I hear an incoming vehicle, it's an SUV with its windows tinted black, the car slows down to a halt, a door opens.
'Perfect timing, Alex, as always'. Alex ever the loyal aide replies ' I aim to please sir. Fruitful night?' I gesture to the knocked out woman at my feet, a smile spreads across his face. ' I guess we better get a move on then' he says. I glance at the woman again, hoping for even slightest bit of emotion, I feel nothing however. She's going to end up like all the women I torture and kill, nameless and faceless.
Sean carries the unconscious woman to the car, and we leave the desolate street. I look out the windows as he drives, it's a moonless light, the darkness malevolent. Its a perfect night for murder...
