Kai ate his meal until the plate was clean. It was the first time since he came here. His mood was vaguely different from the other days. It was peculiar and suspicious to the point the servants who usually came to see him noticed it.
When he was in the bathtub filled with water, he looked at the servant assisting him. "Won't this look better with flowers?" he asked, with a gentle look in his eyes
"Huh? Oh..yes! Do you want me to grab some?" The servant replied, flustered. This was the first time Kai talked to him!
"No..it's fine." Kai replied, looking at his fingers, then at the cuff on his wrist. It irked him.
The servant carefully finished his task and left without another word being said.
Kai sat on the bed, patiently waiting for nightime. He was blazing with excitement. He looked at the window and saw the sky slowly darkening. It was beautiful. He closed his eyes for a moment and he felt at peace. The full moon was magnificent today, unlike the other days.
Then he heard that familiar humming closing in on him. Thelock clicked and the door slowly opened. There stood Lord Belliare with his usual grin full of lust. He locked the door behind him quickly and walked towards Kai.
Kai opened his arms as an open invitation, Bellaire gratefully accepted the pleasant surprise.
"I miss you." Kai said, hugging him tighter.
"You do? I'm glad I'm growing on you." Lord Bellaire replied slowly, moving his hand that was inching down the boy's waist. It was cold but comforting to the touch.
Kai released his hug and climbed on top of Lord Bellaire and leaned in close. "It's such a beautiful night, isn't it?" he asked with a smile.
Lord Bellaire laughed and nodded. "I wish I could stay in this moment forever, don't you? My dear lovely Kai."
"I could fulfil your wishes." Kai whispered into Bellaire's ears. He reached out his hands and grabbed onto the handle of the blade that was hidden behind the headboard.
"Kai?"
"Don't worry..I'll take the lead today." Kai replied in a sweet tone. It felt like honey oozing down the listener's ears. It was so addictive, it felt like a drug.
In one swift moment, Kai thrust the sword into the eye of Bellaire. He heard an ear piercing scream and a hand grabbing roughly on his leg.
But he continued, he pushed the blade down deeper, making sure it completely went through his head. He pulled out the bloodstained blade and went at his other eye again.
He hated those eyes that looked at him with lust. Undressing him whenever it met with his body.
When Kai pulled the blade out, the hand that was grabbing him roughly was no longer moving. It laid on the bed, lifeless and cold.
Kai leaned back and heaved out loudly, it was tiring as he had expected. He wiped the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand.
He then hacked at the Bellaire's throat, he hated the revolting voice that came out of it. Calling his name with that sickening tone. It made him sick.
Kai stabbed at those filthy hands that dared touch him. He hated the way it felt. It felt slimy and gut-churning.
He opened Belliare's mouth and sliced off the tongue. He hated the words it made. He hated the way the tongue met with his.
He got off the dead body and wiped the blade with the coat of Lord Bellaire. He grabbed the basket of flowers, he picked up the lilies and carefully placed them in specific positions. Then he littered it everywhere. The pure white lilies became filthy red with vermin blood.
Kai sat down on the chair beside the bed and leaned his face on his palm. It was a beautiful sight. A distorted body of Lord Bellaire, covered beautifully with those lilies. The beautiful moon shone brightly on the body, as if mocking his death.
"Goodnight, Lord Bellaire. Sleep tight, don't let the snakes bite." Kai said. He picked out the last lily from the basket and smelled it. He crushed it and let it fall on the dead body.
"Take me." Kai said, looking up at the window and meeting eyes with the cat.
It looked like a symbolism of hope. Seeing it's figure perfectly align in front of the full moon. The cat then closed its eyes and a white glowing light flashed. The two then disappeared.
A metal hitting the ground sounded and the room became silent.
The body lay there till the afternoon, undiscovered. Until, a servant was forced to open it. He knew the consequences of making Lord Bellaire angry but the threat behind him was much more terrifying.
The glare of those green eyes made the servant's flesh shuder.
Left with no choice, he unlocked the door and allowed the entry of the group of intruders. However, he saw the body on the bed and froze on the spot. He felt something coming out from his stomach from earlier, it escaped through his mouth and the substance spurted out on the floor.
The knights paused and their eyes widened, one walked out of the group faster than his terror stricken comrades. He looked at the dead body up close and felt a chill crawling up his spine.
Huxley walked into the room after his knights. He stood beside the only knight that stood near the bed.
The sight was beautiful yet horrendous at the same time. The lilies were scattered on the dead body while some were obviously etched into certain parts of the deceased body. The stab wounds were deep and fatal. The blood had been absorbed by the flowers and dried up.
Lord Bellaire's face was twisted in pain. His eye socket had been stabbed into and was covered with lilies. His throat was torn open and there laid another lily. Murder was a disgusting act, but the body that laid there seemed almost like art.
Huxley sat on the chair and breathed heavily. He didn't see his child anywhere. He wasn't here. He was meant to be! The only trace left of him was the lilies he left behind again. Kai had disappeared, yet again.
When I try getting closer to you, why do you seem to be getting further away?
