I kept my gaze fixated on him with a thousands thoughts swirling in my head. He had said his statement so casually but there was nothing casual about what he just said. His testimony would be determine what Dr.Mary would think of me. If he denied ever being in a relationship with me or claimed that Mabel was innocent and knew nothing about us, she would believe that I was lying all these while. Rather than believe me, she would go with the more logical statement that Mabel made— which is that I was doing it for petty popularity and I wouldn't blame her, no one would. How will I expect her to keep trying to see meanings in my word when my boyfriend who was the center of this issue had denied me?
