Lucas's eyes fluttered open before blinking twice. He heard Dracon cursing silently in his head and where he learned that from? Lucas had no idea.
The dungeon around them was a vast plain which as as silent as a graveyard. Only breathing sounds from Lucas and Dracon were heard. The cloudless sky was red making it difficult to deduce the actual time.
'Holy sh*t, there is wave of monster charging towards us.' Dracon cussed as he wagged his tail and folds his wings.
"Dracon, get ready. The enemy are closing in on us, hundreds of them." Lucas summoned Darksteel and Calder without thinking twice.
Calder rose up from the familiar golden circle with a smile on his face. He wore his golden armour with slits at the back for wings, and his golden hair was nicely trimmed, making him look more dark and serious than before.
"What the f*ck! Why do I sense so many awakened demons rushing at us, and-" Calder looked down to the adorable looking Dragon at Lucas's feet. "Aw. What a cute dragon."
So that's where Dracon learned how to curse from. Lucas looked down to the little dog-sized dragon and scowled.
'What's wrong papa?' Dracon said in Lucas's head with confusion on his face as he fixed his big purple eyes on Lucas.
Lucas wanted to rebuke this dragon. He can curse, but can't tell if I am his father or not?!
I'll show you!
"Ahem, Lucas. Please explain why those things are coming at us. THEY WANNA KILL YOU AND YOU'RE BICKERING WITH A NAIVE LITTLE KID!" Calder said as he waved his hands about in fury.
"Doesn't look so naive to me." Lucas muttered. He raised his head to meet a fist hurtling towards his face.
Lucas ducked and went went for a leg sweep which ended up with the sides of his shin ramming into metal. He retracted his feet before shooting up like a bullet, aiming for Calder's head with a heavy uppercut.
BOOM!
Lucas's arm was swung back from the brute force of Calder's counter which was followed up by a series of rushed weak punches.
Dracon watched the exchange between the duo with curiosity. He started absorbing all the information into his head, taking all the action in record with a serious expression on his face.
"That's enough. Dracon how do you feel?" Calder suddenly threw a question at Dracon, leaving the confused Lucas in the dark.
'I feel as if I am growing...' Dracon said as he flapped his wings in excitement. He tried some of the moves, but ended up failing miserably due to his inhuman body.
"Haha. Kid, you're going to be a great divinity." Calder said with a calming smile that would make even the craziest turn calm.
"How many divinities are they? I thought they were just a small group, but from the way you're speaking, it must be a whole new level anything who meets the requirements can reach." Lucas deduced with his head lowered in thought.
"About, a hundred thousand divinities exist in this plane of existence. I am one of them. Divinities are all one step away from evolving into a god. Dragon's have a higher chance of becoming a divinity, but because of some circumstances only few dragons are capable of evolving into a god." Calder explained as he points to Dracon, "Dracon on the other hand could continously evolve without any restrictions due to your system."
Dracon didn't understand most of what they were discussing about, but he instinctively knew it was very serious. He then sat up with his head cocked as he pretended to be paying attention, forgot to suppress the look of confusion in his face.
'What's a god?' Dracon asked with his head tilted to the side as his mask of seriousness crashed to the ground.
"Forget it. I'll try to explain it to you when you're old enough, okay?" Lucas said as he felt an army of demons sending killing intent towards him.
"They are here!" Calder said as he started firing burning gold fireballs at the enemy, his eyes had a glint of excitement in them as he blasted the demons to smithereens.
Dracon jumped on a demon. Without giving the enemy time to counter, he clawed at it's face rapidly.
Lucas sent dark crescents in all directions at the enemy. Like a wargod in battle, Lucas lead Calder and Dracon further into the dungeon.
Lucas smiled as he read the message. He finally knew how to help his dragon grow, this will be fun.
"Dracon, consume any beast you kill!" Lucas yelled to Dracon as he cut a beast in half with his sword. He would have killed the monsters for Dracon, but he was too lazy to even attack Dracon's target.
Dracon wanted to complain, but he decided against it. Leaping high into the air, Dracon landed straight on a beast's back.
He bit into the beast's neck without remorse as he let it roar in agony. Dracon clawed at the beast a couple of times before it fell down to the ground...dead.
Dracon nibbled on it's sweet smelling neck not even holding back the urge as he swallowed up a huge chunk of demon flesh.
Lucas smiled as he saw the notification. He felt the slight rise in energy due to his bond with Dracon. He instantly started hunting down beasts as he had a delightful thought.
Time to evolve Dracon.
