Chapter 2 - "Um... Ok."

MC's POV-

There are many theories floating around as to why children are afraid of the dark. Some believe that it's just their imagination running wild when there is nothing to preoccupy their minds. I believe that they just see what we as adults just aren't open minded enough to see. The truth that we close our selves off to.

The brain is the most powerful part of the human body. It is the only part of the body that we have no control over. It has the ability to make us see, believe and even remember things that is no where close to the truth. Worse yet, it has the ability to make us forget.

Completely forget the terrors the dark has exposed us to.

The good thing is, most of us do forget. If we were to remember all the monsters in the dark vying for who gets to torment us first after we breathe our last breath.

Sadly I don't think we would be able to be functioning members of today's society. I pity anyone out there that is anything like me.

Anyone unable to unsee.

Anyone unable to forget.

Man, laying in the middle of nowhere feeling like swiss cheese sure makes a man question his life. With so many bullets stuck in me I can't help but wonder, if I did things differently what would have happened. If only I didn't take this job. If only I didn't get on that plane. If only I didn't meet him.

If only...

At least I went out with a bang. Taking out almost half of the Allied Nation's elitist bastards isn't a bad way to be remembered. Considering that neither the Rebels or the Revaluationary Army has been able to come out unscathed after even attempting to kill any of those bastards.

After they found out about the "Drop of Life", they went around calling themselves God's. They thought that just because they were stronger than the rest of us, and they live longer that they were immortal. I would pay anything to see their faces when they find out that five of them died in one night. At the hands of one of their favorite "Protector" no less.

Looking up to the skies and seeing the dense amount of dark clouds above me. Slightly in shock as it hasn't rained in almost two years now if I remember correctly.

Mc: "Rain, I bet those guy are jumping around singing right about now." I croaked out before erupting into a coughing fit.

Mc: "Guess I'll finally see what these ugly fuckers are." From the corner of my eye I could see what seemed to look like floating nutsack with teeth. Ignoring the giant floating nutsack, I looked up for the last time before I close my eyes and start to drift off to the depths of my self-conscious.

Then..*BANG*.. everything went white.

---Scene Break---

When I opened my eyes what felt like an eternity later, I looked around in utter disbelief. I was sat at a table across from what seems to be Dennis Haysbert, drinking what appears to be tea.

???: "It's impolite to stare you know. If you want some you can just ask." He said with a deep but kind voice.

Mc: "No thank you, I'm fine." I replied back, dump founded at what is happening.

???: "No need to be confused, everything will become clear after I explain~." He sad with jovial tone hidden under his gruff voice.

God: "Let's start with the simpler questions first shall we. I am God, you are dead and you will be reincarnated." He said with a patient and understanding look in his eye.

Mc: "Um... ok" I replied at a loss of words of what to say in this situation.

God: "Before you ask, the reason you are being reincarnated is because I killed you before you died naturally." He said with a smile on his face.

Mc: "Why?"

God: "Because I didn't want GAMAB to gain another powerful apostle."

Mc: "But, Why?"

God: "To be honest, I'm getting bored. It might be time that I move on and create another universe soon."

God: "Having a successor that can watch over this universe might not be such a bad idea, and since you were basically dead already I picked you."

Mc: "May I ask what universe you are sending me to?"

God: "I will be sending you to the CW's DC universe, You will be born in the glades somewhere between 1985 and 1995."

Mc: "Will I be getting any advantages?"

God: "Nothing much, you will have 100x increased comprehensive ability. What others take three months to learn for you will only take a day."

Mc: "Thanks I guess."

God: "There shouldn't be much deviation from the plot unless you actively try to deviate from it. Try to enjoy yourself in this life Hakim."
