"Give up Sinner, today your sins will be washed and we will be free from your atrocities"

It was night time. The dark night was illuminated by several otherworldy stars and an unusually large oval-shaped moon which was pure white in colour. It was a majestic sight and anybody who saw it would feel peace and tranquilty within its entire being. Usually there would be numerous moons present in the sky but today there was only one moon in sight. The plains, forest, mountains and various creatures shone under the light of the moon as if it was bathing and relaxing in it. There was quiet everywhere as if the whole world was in peace. But there was one place present which was unaffected by this rare phenomenon.
On a grassy plain, there were large number of people present. One thing which stood out was the different features of people present there. One group had large pointed tails coming from their back, one had devilish horns poking out of their heads, one had their whole skin covered in white which corresponded with the unusual moon present in the sky, one had sharp teeth coming out of their mouth, one had its whole skin covered in green fur and had an aura of an hungry predator. There was also a group of giants which was as enormous as a huge mountain. Currently they were all surrounding a single person.
The person was covered in blood and had severe injuries present all over him. He was missing an arm and his injuries were so severe that bones could be seen through his legs and even his ribs were out from his flesh to be seen by the whole world. He was standing on a huge pile of corpses which had been formed through intense battle. The plain was now covered in blood as it reeked of bloodthirst and death.
Among the large number of people there was a single group present which consisted of humans. They all wore different types of imperial robes, cloaks, coats and capes. Anybody who saw them would tell at a glance that they were some important people belonging to a certain sect, clan or a kingdom.
In the lead was a human who wore a royal mantle red in colour with a white cape around his back. This person gave an unfathomable aura which seemed to demand respect and authority. The mentioned human had bloodshot eyes and said, "Sinner there is nowhere you can run nor hide, your death today is imminent. Tell me, how does it feel to live the final moments of your life? Is it filled with despair, loneliness or is it anger. Please do tell me because I cannot wait to take your head and put it as a trophy in front of my castle gates....Hahahahaha"
The human started laughing loudly as if he had cracked the greatest joke in his entire lifetime. Still, there was an unshakable fury in his eyes that couldn't be hidden. Clearly he had deep hatred towards the so-called Sinner.
The Sinner in question remained silent. After a long period of time, he looked up, took a deep breath and spoke in a reminiscing voice, "I killed many people, lied, betrayed, robbed and.....and loved someone too. But I do not regret a single thing, I did everything according to my own will and if given another chance, I am ready do it all over again. I was all alone when I started to tread on my path of cultivation and I will die alone too. If this is the end to my cultivation journey....so be it, I am ready for the end too."
As soon as he said those words, his whole body started glowing red and veins could be seen popping out all across his body. It felt like he was overloading with something and would reach its limit soon.
"RUNNNNN!!!!!"
When the other cultivators saw this, they became flabbergasted and terrified as they knew what this was and as soon as a cultivator shouted to run, all the other frantically started to run too.
"RUNNN!!!!!!!!!! He is going to explode"
"Tch....Is this how he is going to die? Trying to kill us until the better end."
"At least he is finally going to die, now shut your horses and focus on running away from the explosion."
Watching all the cultivators running for their lives, the Sinner just stood there, "Earlier I said I didn't regret a single thing but that was a lie....there is one thing I regret and that is not seeing to the end of this cultivation journey."
"But..."
Staring at the beautiful night sky filled with twinkling stars that felt mesmerizing when one sees it and the mysterious and otherworldly moon which only highlighted the scenery, the Sinner said in a sorrowful and somewhat relief tone,
"I tried.....in the end.....I did"
As he said those words, as if in in cue his body exploded and with a flash the explosion covered thousands of kilometres. The sky became blood red and a huge mushroom cloud formed in the place where explosion took place.
