After the ominous broadcast last night, everyone decided to look into advancing their powers, so they traveled to different parts of the world. Ben, Harris, and Tasha went to Africa to find a shaman, but they didn't seem to have any luck. After a while they started hearing hyper speed movement caused by the movement in the airflow, and the sounds of something being hit with incredible force. They then saw 2 teenagers fighting in mid-air, only using their fists. It was like they were standing on the air itself. "Alright Mirai, time to give it up. You can't beat me and you know it. Magic or no magic you're still not dropping me to the floor." the young shaman said. He didn't look too much like a traditional shaman, but he still had a long feather in his all white hair, a poncho made of silk, black leather pants, and brown motorcycle boots. He had a very confident look on his face, and held a sort of sword made of bone. The onmyoji was looking at him with a pissed off look. He had long black hair that was almost as long as he was, had a black bamboo hat, pink kimono sleeves, and black baggy pants with hanfu boots. He also wore glasses, which didn't seem to fall off or slide down his face at all. "You cheater! You've been using spirit energy in your fists, well how about we kick it up a notch Angakok. Yojutsu versus Shamanic powers. Let's see you survive Tamamo-no-Mae: 6 Tails." Mirai said as he started to manifest six blazing fox tails behind him. Angnakok smiled and expanded his energy outwards and it took the shape of a rhino. "I call this Unstoppable Rhino. Try and stop it with that thin sword you got pretty boy." he said teasingly, making Mirai blush out of anger. They both charged at each other, but Tasha stopped them with a large tree, causing them both to slam straight through it.
After pulling them both out, they apologized for not greeting them when they showed up. "Nice to meet you folks. I'm Agnakok. I'm hoping to be the leader of my father's tribe, but he keeps babying me. I'm 16, not 10. Oh and this is Mirai, he's sorta like a blood brother now. We duel from time to time." he introduced, causing Mirai to punch him in the head. "Bullcrap! I'm your boyfriend and I live with you when my parents died you jerk! How you gonna leave out that crap?!" he yelled, causing Angakok to giggle a bit. "Okay okay I'm sorry. I won't leave it out anymore. Anyways, what brings you guys here? Just visiting or is it police stuff?" he asked. Ben explained the situation, causing Angakok to nod in agreement. "You guys do need the help. Luckily my dad knows about your kind of powers. It's no issue. But just know my dad can be intense...and pushes you to the brink. Just be prepared to sweat until you can't sweat no more." he explained. They all gave a thumbs up and walked to a group of small houses shaped like huts with a single chimney out of each one that seemed to blow out white smoke that smelled like tea with agave. Mirai started to drool a bit, and ran towards a hut. Harris was surprised something like that smelled that good from so far away, considering he drank it every morning. They were then met by a middle aged man who wore a large deer skull on his head, and had a very large poncho that covered his whole body except his boots. That was Angakok's father named Dagara. "Anga, Mirai! Get inside already, I made cinnamon rolls." he said jokingly as he had a plate of cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven. Ben looked at him with a surprised expression, and walked over to him. Dagara then had a serious look on his face and held up a trident made of a very large bone. Ben held his hands up showing he wasn't armed, but Jay was about to jump out and possess the trident at the slightest movement. Then Dagara smiled and drove his trident into the dirt to keep it still. "Ah hello, a visitor. Nice to meet you, I hope my trident didn't surprise you. I made it out of elephant tusks, but don't worry the elephant was already nothing but bone, died of old age and it was practically a great grandfather already." he explained with a large grin. Ben then put his arms down and explained the situation with Olive and his declaration to become a god by new years eve. Dagara fully understood and agreed to train them both for a whole week, but it wasn't going to be easy and they would feel like they were going to feel their bones crumble. "Sir, with all due respect, if you don't have the balls to rebound after your arm gets dislocated by a savage gorilla made of rock, then I think our title as the Special Squad is fancy words. But would you mind if we partook in some of those rolls? I got a sweet tooth for these things." Harris asked, to which Dagara agreed. It took about an hour (the man loved making the sweet treat) to finish eating and drinking the tea, when they went to a large group of trees that had a mysterious energy wrapped around them. "Remember you three." Dagara said. "Once this starts, I assure you there's no going back. You're going to be in more agony than you can think of. You ready for this my friends?" he asked. All three of them nodded and entered the group of trees. For the whole week, they fought and their powers began to grow considerably. However they were utterly exhausted, fighting spirit beasts that were tougher and stronger than the usual beasts they face. In terms of power they were facing Natural Disaster Class monsters, while their power were at Mythical Werebeast Class officers, which is pretty high. Once the week was over, they were barely able to crawl away, they had cuts and were bleeding and sweating like crazy, hardly able to see. However they pushed through and set up a healing barrier to lay in. Daraga walked over smiling and sped up the healing process. "Congrats you three. Your friends will be quite pleased with your progress. Sweet dreams my friends." he said as he levitated them into his hut, and put them into bed.
Angakok and Mirai looked at them, amazed how powerful they became in under a week. "Dad, did you have to go that hard on them?" Angakok asked. His dad explained why he had to do it. "Son, there's a lot that training the body can do for you. But the biggest part of the training was the mental development. They had to think quicker, be smarter than their opponent. A strong body is useless and insignificant without a strong and sturdy mind and an unshakable soul. You're gonna go far son, and when I pass the torch to you, those words are gonna be passed on as well. Remember strength comes in all forms, never settle for just one. Now come, it's time to hunt." he said, his words made both boys look in complete surprise. They both went out with Daraga to a hunting grounds and saw a large deer with electricity cycling through its horns. Daraga wanted them to hunt the beast by themselves, so they both thought about the advice they were given, and thought of a strategy. The type of deer this was had lightning that was precise enough to take the eyes off small rodents and poisonous fangs, it was swift enough to outrun a hippo on hand, and the horns were razor sharp and could smash through stone. "Mirai, we're gonna have to go with Sneak Battle Arts. Have a spell ready, we have one shot." Angakok said as he silently snuck around the deer. Mirai was trained in Kuji-Kiri hand seals, so he used a combination to create mist to cause illusions. The deer became confused and was stiff with fear, so Angakok used Spirit Mimicry to copy the horns off the deer and used it electric powers on it to paralyze it. Mirai then grew claws from his nails and slashed the deer to shreds. They both then prayed over the corpse of the deer and took part of the horns, and went back to their hut. They both agreed that the advice was definitely something to always remember.
