- POV General -
"Have you seen Kuno?" asked a girl with blue eyes, tan skin and dark brown hair. It was medium long with a tomato bun in the back, along with two thin braids that instead of falling with the course of gravity, followed a specific path to the back of her head.
On the side of his clothing, he wore a quilted suit of light blue and blue tones, along with a hood with soft white fur. An outfit suitable for the cold... she was Katara, of the Southern Water Tribe. Or at least one of them, since there were many Tribes occupying the territory. Unlike the Northern Water Tribe, which was a great stronghold of the waterbenders.
"What do I know! He must be doing his weird scouting stuff. He doesn't understand that I am the hunter of this family!" shouted a boy with similar features to the previous girl. His attire was the same only for male gender, and he adorned his hair with a hairstyle shaved on the sides, plus a ponytail adorned by a blue bow.
"Hehehehe, easy son, Kuno just has a..... free spirit" interjected a beautiful woman with the girl's appearance but older. Though the hairstyle differentiated them, as the older woman had it completely loose. And at the mention of Kuno, she showed a slightly complex expression.
"But is he with daddy?" the first girl said again.
"I don't know daughter, why don't you go look for him with your brother? But I don't think so, since Hakoda must still be on his hunt, he'll be back soon" said the now known as the children's mother with an affectionate tone.
"Bah! Boring... let Katara go alone."
"Sokka bad brother!" yelled Katara as she stuck her tongue out at her older brother.
"He's right Katara...you're the big brother Sokka, take responsibility! Fufufu" said Kya, the mother of both children in an amused tone as she let out a small giggle.
And what Kya said was right. Because Sokka was born in the year 84 AG. Or "After War", the 100 year war of the fire nation against the world. While both Katara and Kuno were born in the year 86 AG, as twins. Which makes Sokka the oldest brother of them all. Although despite being the eldest, he doesn't have a very.... good relationship with Kuno. As well as basically all the rest of the family, because the latter just ignores them. The only person he has a bit of a relationship with is Katara herself.
"Tch! This big brother will have to do his job.... I hope he thanks me!" said Sokka with a frown as he left the igloo in which his family lived. 'What the man of the family must do...' thought the boy with a sigh and tired eyes comically. After all he was still his brother, wasn't he?
- POV Kuno -
My progress has been monstrous so far, but I've been in a bottleneck for a month... this is annoying. But I'm still advanced for being only 8 years old. Not only in skill, but also in physique.
I have medium long silver hair, with tan skin and blue eyes. Along with a fringe swept slightly to the left, plus the back tied back in a ponytail. Family custom it seems.
Handsome, sharp features, with a pointed end. Wearing the customary robes of the Southern Water Tribe. How, you ask? Well, apparently I've been reincarnated in the world of Avatar. The reason? No idea, but I'm going to take advantage of the power I can get in this world.
Unfortunately I didn't watch the series in my past life, but I did get to see the second part, The Legend of Korra, and thanks to that I can pull out a few facts. Like that I am the brother of one of the main characters. A girl named Katara along with another one named Sokka. But let's get back to the important stuff...
I'm a water bender, and I try to practice my skill all the time. But there's a problem that can also be a blessing. Something I had in my past life as a street fighter. That is that I can only get better in real fights.
It's also not like I can't advance with a "do something and repeat it", and so the cycle continues. Since bending an element is somewhat related to a muscle, the more you use it the better it gets. But only to a certain extent. Because you always need proper guidance to reach certain heights. And of course, as it is obvious, my skills are only Water Control. I don't handle anything like Healing or Blood Control. The latter being my big target.
As far as I know, Water Control concentrates on energy flow, focusing less on strength and more on turning the opponent's own energy against him. Who originates not from a human but from the moon. Who controls the tides at night, and that's how I've been training. Though I wouldn't know what level I'm at yet, but I'd like to split the skill, whether it's in the art of bending or melee.
First would be the "Novice" level, from low, medium to high level. Then the "Pupil" level, and then the "Experienced", "Master", "Grand Master", "Lord of the Bend", and finally, "Avatar".
At the mid to high Avatar level could be Aang as an adult, or so I suppose. While Korra at a low Avatar level at the end of the series, or even a bit lower. Toph at the low Bending Lord level or maybe medium, along with characters like Amon or Zaheer. Although these could be at the Grand Master rank. I really don't know... just my ramblings.
But as I said a while ago... I've been practicing since I'm practically three years old, trying not to be noticed. Although I have my suspicions that Kya knows about me. Call it feminine instinct or whatever, but I think she knows. And by feminine instinct I mean hers...I'm not a woman.
Ah! I just got sidetracked again... the thing is that when I was five years old, I decided to leave solitary training for a while and start using my fighting skills. And I can say that my progress was... to say the least, giant.
To the point that now, with my eight years, the only challenges I can find in the South Pole are a pack of tiger seals, polar orcas or tiger sharks. And as I said, a pod, because a single individual presents no challenge. Which is quite disappointing, so I should try to leave this tribe full of hindrances as soon as possible. Hindrances that prevent me from getting stronger.
Why do I want to be strong? To enjoy the pleasures of life as a good hedonist. For, I don't want to be at an orgy and have a group from the Fire Nation arrive to enslave me. Or was it the guys from earth? Because in Korra the guys from earth are the biggest scum. But I'd better not say anything since I'm no better.
Although there was a second reason, and that's that besides being a hedonist I'm a fucking control freak. I mean, that's what I want to believe. Right now there's not much I can do, being a mindundi in a tribe that nobody cares about. That's why I want power, so I can control my life, and the lives of others.
"Kuno!" shouted an annoying voice from afar. It was my stupid older brother Sokka, who came running over with a scowl on his face. He was extremely idiotic even for a ten-year-old. So the difference with a 30 year old reincarnated soul... no, now 38, is too big.
"What do you want Sokka?"
"Katara was looking for you, and as a good brother I came to find you."
"Yes, yes, good boy" I said as I stroked his head.
"What are you doing! I'm not a dog" he replied, pulling my hand from his head to which I chuckled. "What were you doing around here?" the young man with the ponytail asked me.
"Exploring" I replied without changing my expression. My mouth showed a smile, since this guy in theory was my brother. But my eyes were colder than ice created by the best water benders in the world if not history. Not that someone as dumb as Sokka could tell though. Kya was something else though...that damn woman and her instincts. Or maybe it's just paranoia of mine.
"Well, whatever, but just know you're weird bro."
"Very complex actions for... such small minds" I whispered as I tapped my finger on Sokka's forehead.
"What are you doing!" roared the young man as he put his hands to his forehead with an annoyed face.
"What are you talking about?" I asked with mock doubt.
"What do you mean, what am I talking about!"
"I don't know what you're talking about brother. We should go back so we don't worry anyone" I replied, to which Sokka nodded with a snort.
But when we got back, on a trip of many teasing my brother. There was a rather interesting... and chaotic scene.
