Sparrow and Oriano were exchange blows; although, Oriano had thrown more attacks than Sparrow who was currently in the defensive.
Oriano had a sword that could by the looks of it, leave almost permanent damage on his body, and Oriano seemed to be on par with his speed and strength, so Sparrow quite literally had no choice but to stay in the defensive.
" Even the Demi-God didn't give me this much trouble "
Sparrow said to himself, thinking back to when he took over Shu's body and fought Romulus
" Your fighting style changed "
Oriano said, as he began to swing at Sparrow with more strength, taking his time with his attacks, whilst also changing his pace; when Sparrow saw an opening he would rush at Oriano, but the man in armor would just swing his blades which caused the demon to jump backwards, starting to defend the other's attack all over again.
" I can't do anything. If my sanctuary energy was still active I would be dragging this fucker's face across the ground "
Sparrow said as he would then jump into the air, leaning backwards as Oriano just chased after him, jumping into the air as well, swinging both of his arms down just for Sparrow to catch his wrists quickly pulling the man's arms whilst also quick him in the abdomen with both of his feet; sending him flying a few meters away.
" He's trying to buy time, I can't allow him to do that "
Oriano said, as he would then land on the ground, sliding across the water of the lake, using his blades to stop himself from going any further.
" His body is capable of much more than he's showing me, I can't allow him a second to breathe "
And just when Oriano said that; Sparrow came flying down from the sky, crashing against the water which splattered everywhere, blinding the man for a bit just for him to feel two fists sinking into his right ribs, sending him sliding back.
Oriano was about to retaliate but Sparrow was already in front of the man; the demon's eyes were wide open, and his face seemed as calm as that of a baby sleeping. He was focused, too focused.
Many possibilities and solutions were running a mock in Sparrow's mind, as he continued to attack Oriano, not giving the man the chance to even raise his arms
" He's the one in the offensive now; because of the opening I gave him, he was able to focus everything on speed, and although these attacks don't quite hurt, that doesn't mean I can fight back either, fuck!! "
Oriano said as he would then put his arms at his face, guarding himself as Sparrow just continued to punch, hurling his arms at high speeds.
" I can't attack, not yet at least, I don't know if he has anything up his sleeve, I also can't be too cocky, unlike him I don't have the luxury to regenerate, plus, should I give him another opening, I might die "
Oriano thought to himself as he would just look at the demon's face, his eyes seemed to be locked on Oriano, not once was Sparrow looking away, his eyes didn't even move, which was insane considering how much his body was moving for him to be able to throw all those punches.
" I got it "
The two of them thought.
Sparrow blinked as Oriano would then take a step back, lowering his guard before swinging his blades up, getting rid of all of Sparrow's arm in just one go, with that done, he used all the strength on his body and suit of armor to lean and dash forward.
" Now that his arms are gone I should be able to plunge his heart out and— "
As Oriano's blades got closer to Sparrow's chest, he felt four arms sink into his chest and abdomen, which cracked his armor, leaving huge dents in them, before he was sent flying, crashing straight into a rock, which broke a few of his bones.
Oriano was breathing heavily, his eyesight became blurry and all he could focus on was Sparrow who seemed to have regrown his arms
" But how? I.. "
Oriano stopped thinking as his mind went back to the moment he swung his blades; he didn't feel any contact
" When I sliced at his arms, it didn't feel like I cut him, it felt as though they just went through them; I thought it was just because how greatly I cut them off—but now that I look back at it, no way.. "
Oriano's eyes locked onto Sparrow who began to walk toward him, a giant smirk on his face as he wore a laid back expression, with his body standing upright and strong
" Did he detach his arms before I could cut them off? But when did he think of doing something like that?..no, the question should be, how can he do something like that? "
Oriano thought to himself as his armor began to heal and his eyes closed themselves
" Fuck, I thought I had the upper hand, but in the end this just ended up being a brute's battle "
Oriano said before he jumped up, landing on his feet; one of his eyes turning red from all the blood and injuries he had received.
" I guess this will be a strength and speed battle, huh!?! "
Oriano yelled as Sparrow just grinned, spreading his arms out as if he was proud of himself.
Whilst that happened, Maestro and Violi were coming back to the lake with packs of fruits on their arms
" We found a lot, we got lucky, how the hell were we able to find a cave with a hole on its ceiling that provided light to its trees? "
Violi said as he laughed, shoving some grapes into his own mouth, chewing down on them with great happiness.
" Not only did it have sunlight, but it had a canal with running water!! Hahahaha, I feel sorry for the poor bastard who died to the aliens, the fucker couldn't enjoy the fruits of his labor "
Maestro replied as the two just bursted out laughing whilst shoving fruits into their mouths, dirtying not only their hands and faces but also the cloth that covered their chest; thought it didn't seem like they really cared.
As the two got closer to the lake, their laughs suddenly faded away as their eyes locked onto what seemed to be the most perfect Martial Arts display they have ever seen.
Both Sparrow were navigating the entirety of the lake at great speeds; throwing attacks at each other and dodging attacks with extreme finesse and elegance.
Their feet and arm movement, was almost flawless; it almost seemed fake; their eyes were locked on each other, but their bodies moved in such a way that the act of them looking at each other wouldn't make sense, as their bodies were moving in a way that required a normal person to constantly shift their line of sight.
Although, unbeknownst to Maestro and Violi, and even to themselves; these two were fighting like this not because they studied these martial arts but because of completely different things.
For instance; the reason Oriano was fighting the way he did was because his suit had martial arts in its program. As for Sparrow, he had simply memorized all the Martial Arts Shu had ever learned.
So in short, these two were geniuses.
