Chapter 312 - intensity

Ean and Shu stared at each other, their guards completely down; injuries all over them and blood that would be washed away by the rain.

" No spiritual awakenings "

Shu said as he took a step forward just to receive a weird look from Ean, who simply sighed and took a step himself

" Fine "

All of a sudden Ean would grip his sword with both of his hands and proceeded to do an upper slash which Shu easily avoided by taking a step back; but Ean simply took another step forward and brought the sword back down, hitting Shu right on his shoulder with the back of the sword which made Shu kneel down on one knee.

" Huff, huff—so, will you take back your words? "

Ean questioned as Shu simply looked up at him, watching the rain fall all over Ean's head, crashing violently against his shoulders and the injuries and bruises he had all over his torso

" No "

Shu replied as he would then grab onto Ean's blade, veins popping from Shu's arm as he squeezed the blade tightly, slowly lifting it up whilst carefully standing up, but before he could stand straight Ean kicked him in his chest, sending him flying, just to dash forward, chasing after him.

Once Ean was inches away from Shu, he turned the blade to its sharp side, and proceeded to swing it down in an attempt to end this fight, but Shu would stretch his arms out, just to bring them back to the middle in a clapping motion, catching the blade in-between his hands before crashing against the ground due to the strength behind the attack, creating a crater upon impact.

A giant cloud of dirt would build up from the huge impact, which Shu quickly dashed out of, sliding across the ground to then kick Ean's legs, making him lose balance, and before the man could hit the floor, Shu slammed his elbow against his chest making the impact way bigger than it normally would have been; building a huge cloud of dirt.

Suddenly the two would fly out the cloud of dirt, clashing punched once they were in the air, causing a huge shockwave which pushed all the rain around them away.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds, their bodies being pulled down by gravity.

Time around them began to slow down, the rain started to fall slower and so did their bodies; right now, their perception of time was so accelerated everything seemed slower.

Thoughts of them enjoying life together began to flash all over their heads; when they were kids, when they trained together and even now as adults; although they didn't have as much memories as they did back when they were younger, it was enough to hurt them deeply, and suddenly the fight began again.

Blue auras would burst out of their body, and then they flew upwards, flying so fast that to those humans with regular eyesight Shu and Ean just seemed like lines flying all around the sky, clashing against each other and increasing in speed.

One line was a darker blue than the other: the dark blue began to swirl all around the lighter line, clashing against it violently, so much so that they began to descend, crashing like comets against the ground.

Once in the ground, Shu and Ean jumped backwards, moving away from each other, staring at one another from a far before landing on the ground and flying toward one another, turning back into those trails of energy, which began to clash and bounce off of each other.

As they continued to clash and fly, the speed at which they were moving started to not only cause massive sonic booms but also, burn the ground once they got close to it due to all the friction they were building up.

In the air Ean hurled his sword at Shu which caused him to lose his balance for a bit, allowing Ean an opening to land a punch right on Shu's face sending him flying down to the ground, following behind with his sword in the hand.

The two crashed against the ground, and to cushion their landing they slid through the ground, melting the very rocks that made up the ground.

The two started to run all around the place, running parallel to one another, causing sonic booms and leaving a melted trail behind their feet, every single second they'd meet at the middle, exchanging a few combos before clashing so powerfully that the two would be sent back to their positions, and then they would repeat.

Just like how when they were flying, to a normal person they'd be perceived as trails of energy that ran all over the ground, melting the crust of the earth and anything that came in contact with them, such as mountains and trees.

Mountains were left with melted holes in them or just completely destroyed, and the trees were simply obliterated, torched and scattered across the ground in the form of coal.

As they continued to fight, their battle spread across the sea, and as they ran above the water, every single one of their steps were met with steam, and finally, after all the fighting, running and clashing, they stopped all together once they dashed toward each other, grabbing onto each one's neck, causing them to lose their momentum.

At the speed they were going this wouldn't just be met with a sudden stop, the moment their balance and speed was unstable they started to bounce off of the water, eventually letting go of each other, bouncing and sliding across the water so violently and fast that they ended up back in land yet again, though this time it was a small island.

" Huff, Huff "

The two would pant as they slowly got up, placing their hands on their knees as they got up for support, staring at one another from afar

" I think huff—it's about time we —huff ended this, don't you think? "

Shu said, struggling a little to breathe whilst slowly straightening his back, standing proud and strong in front of Ean who did the same.

" Huff, huff, I agree.. "

Ean replied, whilst slowly bringing his sword up; energy starting to surround the blade like a typhoon.

In response Shu lifted his right leg, which was surrounded by a similar violent energy.

The two were planning to end this, it was obvious; though they felt somewhat hesitant to follow up with their attacks.

The winner was going to be obvious, whoever decided let go of that feeling to hesitate first, would win this battle.

They charged up just a little longer before taking a deep breath and dashing toward each other, getting so close that they were just inches away from coming in contact.
