Chapter 310 - Friends

" Sire, even after all these months that have passed. I still don't understand why you're giving the enemy two years to prepare, what if they become a formidable force? After all, for humans, two years are quite a long time "

A figure of a man said as he would then place his hand on what seemed to be the hilt of a katana by his waist, seconds later turning toward a figure made of darkness sitting on a throne

" Its quite simple, we've shown our strength already—or at least what they think our strength is. By giving them two years to prepare I set myself out to be a massive threat, which I am, and in doing so.. "

The figure of darkness would turn toward the man beside him as his voice echoed across the empty room

" My enemy will start to panic; I already fought the king so he knows my strength, as a king his responsibility is to protect his people so he'll be cautious, but a king is always greedy and at times, if not all the time, ignores what his advisors and people tell him "

The figure of darkness continued as it would then stand up, walking toward a huge table surrounded by empty chairs, whilst being followed by the other person

" The people of high power in his kingdom will want to express their ideas, but they haven't experienced what the king has experienced by encountering me, so naturally he'd shrug them off, building more irritation in the seats of command and eventually someone will step up, be it because the king was greedy, because he was cautious of me, or because of something completely unrelated to the war "

The figure of darkness continued to add, to then raise his hand, using the darkness that made him to form a black kingdom generated completely out of energy

" Like the great ancient kingdom called Rome, it eventually fell; although the kingdom we're up against doesn't have that much history, the history that it does have makes me believe with one hundred percent certainty, that it will fall by itself, I quite literally have to do nothing but wait "

As those two talked, Ean and Shu continued to fight, the intensity of their fight increasing with every hit they landed on each other.

They began to fly all over the sky, so fast that to those watching they became nothing but a blur; lines of energy that clashes every two seconds.

Shu would then hurl a punch, just to be met with Ean's fist, clashing with him which sent both of them flying back, the two shook it off and flew back to each other.

Ean threw a pick which Shu stopped with his right arm, proceeding to punch Ean in his stomach, sending him flying across the sky, causing a sonic explosion which parted the clouds, though it didn't end there.

Shu flew after Ean, quickly grabbing a hold of his fade to then bring him up higher, proceeding to hurl him down toward the ground before disappearing in a blur of speed.

As Ean was approaching the ground, Shu appeared below him, raising his knee; the moment Ean's back came in contact with Shu's knee, all their surroundings were destroyed, creating a crater so big that it looked like a deserted place

" Ean, you have to understand, if we have Fu help us all the time we will never become stronger we will never become—- "

" Its all about becoming stronger to you, its all about how faster you can fly, how hard you can punch and how much you can learn; its never about the easy way out, you've always been like this, I should've done something about you the moment you lost it when Me, Arthur and Ayami beat you as children and you allowed your demon to take over you; you'd rather cause havoc then to receive help "

Ean said, interrupting Shu who was about to share his thoughts; Ean did not care, why would he? He saw an easy way out, he saw a way to prevent not only a war but many deaths to come, and all he his king had to was ask a person for help, how could someone care about another's opinion when there's such high stake?

" Ean, we're not the children we were seven years ago, im a king and you're a noble, eventually we'll have to learn to handle our own fucking problems "

Shu said, explaining himself to Ean, but Ean simply stared at him and then raised his hand into the air, creating a portal from which a giant sword came out of

" Shut up, you don't get to say shit like that at moments like this; we aren't the center of the world Shu!!! "

Ean yelled, as he would then grip the hilt of the great-sword he had just summoned, pulling it out the portal it was emerging from, pointing it at Shu with a look of annoyance

" We can improve if we don't receive help, yes , but what will happen to the weak who will get caught up in our war? We aren't children who don't care about the world anymore, we're adults with power, we need to protect the people that work for us, thats the sole reason why commoners fall into line when a king is chosen, because they expect the king to protect them, not fight a war as an experiment!!! "

Ean yelled proceeding to hold the great-sword with both of his hands, glaring over at Shu who simply took a deep breath, just to sigh whilst rubbing his fingers against his forehead

" Fine then, lets decide it with this battle, if i win we do what i want, and i strip you of your position as a noble "

Shu said as he would then spread his legs apart, tugging his pants up to then take a position of battle

" Fine, if i win then you have to order Fu to help us, and as soon as the war is over, you will put your crown down "

Ean replied whilst gripping the hilt of his great-sword tightly, pointing the tip at his friend and king.

The two stared at each other, sadness filling up in their hearts as they prepared for battle, they knew that it didn't matter who won, because at the end of it they would most likely lose a great friend.

They stared at each other for a few seconds, and as they continued to glare one another all of a sudden rain started to come from the sky; and as the drops of water started to get closer to the ground, the two lifted one leg as to take a step forward, the moment a rain drop crashes against the ground they dashed toward each other, signifying the start of their battle.
