The day went by, the kid's rested ate and showered by the lake that Shu had told them about, and at night they slept, soundly and peacefully, a peace they will immediately want back, because the moment it became 6am, Shu had woken the two up from their slumber, kicking them through the walls of the Dojo and into the ground outside
" We are going hunting, put these on "
Shu said as he looked down at his sons struggling to stand up from the ground, proceeding to throw what seemed to be black Gis.
The boys coughed out a bit, gasping for air, but once they regained enough energy to stand they got up and put their Gis over their underwear, which was what they slept with, meaning they were practically naked when Shu kicked them out
" Grab your swords "
Shu said, as his sons would then stretch both of their hands out, only to fall down on their face the moment Shu dropped the swords on their palms
" Why would you drop it like that!?! These things are heavy ! "
The two yelled, almost simultaneously just to receive an emotionless look from Shu who proceeded to turn his back to them
" Let's go "
He ordered, walking over to the forest next to the dojo, as they walked the children simply looked around, slowly starting to become bored
" Hey Raven, don't you feel somewhat different now that we're in this mountain? "
Dio questioned, as to start a conversation since he quickly became bored of all the walking
" Yeah kind of, I feel weaker, but I just assumed that was because of the injuries we got when climbing up here, I mean this mountain is like 20 thousand feet tall isn't i-"
Shu quickly placed his hand on Raven's mouth, shutting him up, to then look over at what seemed to be a giant bear with fur made of fire with the tail of a scorpion
" There's our prey—and as for the mountain's height, it's 30 thousand "
Shu whispered and answered his children's questions
" And as for the weak feeling; we're too high up in the sky, it's harder to breath here, and if it wasn't for the sanctuary energy you guys are constantly coating yourselves with, you'd both notice the cold weather as well "
Shu explained, to which Dio and Raven nodded, somewhat understanding what their father meant, still though, they were 5 and 4 years of age they couldn't possibly know what he was talking about
" Anyway, you two must hunt down that Fire Bear "
Shu whispered, looking down at his two sons who simply stared at each other seconds later, a little hesitant to jump and fight this thing, but before they could think about, Shu had pushed them into the bear's sight.
" Fuck.. "
Raven whispered, his eyes widening the moment he saw the bear's tail swing itself toward him.
Dio noticed this and quickly stabbed his sword on the floor, using it as a platform to bounce himself toward his older brother, proceeding to punch him in the face, making him drop his swords and sending him flying against a tree so as to get him out of the tail's way
" Pay attention you idiot! The hunt just started and you're already losing focus "
Dio yelled, to then jump in the air dodging another tail swing from the bear who simply waved its arm down, slamming the boy against the ground and making bounce off it and spit out blood.
Before the bear could smash Dio abasing the ground Raven dashed toward Dio, hugging him tightly, getting his brother and himself away from the bear's ramming paw
" Thanks "
Dio whispered as he would then stand up, wiping a bit of blood away from his cheek only for Raven to nod in return
" It's tail is quick but in general it's pretty slow, I'm sure that with our speed we can definitely land a blow on it if we work together "
Raven said as he would then place his fingers on the floor, taking a running position
" Okay, you take the right i take the left "
Dio ordered, as Raven then nodded, engulfing the tip of his feet with sanctuary energy, pushing himself off of the ground, dashing to the right side of bear, as Dio simply ran toward the left, charging his fists with sanctuary energy.
Dio would then look up as he ran around the bear, seeing as the bear brought down its paw in an attempt to smash him against the ground yet again, but Dio simply sped up and then proceeded to slide on the ground, avoiding the bear's attack
" Now Raven!! "
Dio yelled as Raven then kicked the bear in the back of its knee, making it kneel, which allowed Dio to jump on top of its thigh, running up its body and using its fat belly to jump into the air, meeting with the bear's face.
Once there, Dio had already charged his fist full of sanctuary energy, and with it he punched the bear, making it tremble a little, but before gravity can push Dio back to the ground the boy landed a kick on its nose, before landing on the ground, smiling nervously whilst his brother approached him
" It doesn't look like that hurt him at all "
Dio said, as he would then swipe his hand across his lips
" It's a huge animal; all we did was make it angry "
Raven said as he saw how the flames that surrounded the bear began to increase, as if saying it was now angry.
As that happened Shu simply placed a wooden chair on the floor, sitting down on it to then pull out a banana from what seemed to be a bag of fruits, peeling it and taking a bite from it whilst laying back against the chair
" Let's see if they're able to improve in the heat of the moment "
Shu said to himself, finishing his banana in a matter of seconds, just to dig into the bag, taking out an apple next, starting to eat it like he hasn't eaten a day in his life.
