Most of the fights there were boring, so Ean and Shu simply decided to talk to each other throughout those battles, their children in the other hand were completely hooked.
They weren't on that level yet so to them it seemed like complete pros were fighting, but just like the king and the Duke, the citizens didn't find these matches entertaining either, the tournament before the war won the price, whatever the price even was, but every citizen would agree, that old tournament trampled each one of the new ones.
Some people even regretted not getting to watch it, others blamed their mothers or parents or boss, for wasting their time when they could've seen that one legendary academy tournament.
Either way, that didn't matter, at the moment, Fiana was getting to fight again, which of course caught Ean's, Shu's and the entire viewers's attention.
Now at the stadium was Fiana, standing off against a boy wielding a sword
" Oooh, this fight might be interesting "
Ean said as he leaned forward, only fr Shu to raise his left eyebrow
" Why is that? "
He replied, looking over at Ean who simply smiled at him
" Well, that boy there is one of my students, not to mention he's also part of your dojo, or did you completely forget about that dojo you made? "
Shu stared at him for a second, before scratching his cheek, trying to figure out what Ean was talking about, but he only received a sigh from Ean who turned to look back at the match
" Well either way, just know this'll be interesting, that's one of my top students, Yoldon Lechop, he has an odd name but he'll be sure to surprise you "
Ean said, which made Shu more interested in this fight.
Yoldon, unsheathed his blade, showing to his opponent, to then engulf it with a coat of blue sanctuary energy.
Yoldon had blue light hair, pale skin and green eyes, which completely contradicted his eye color, similar to Fiana he was wearing simple armor so he could rely on his agility more so than his strength.
The girl would then unsheathe her weapon, pointing that deadly rapier over at her opponent, her face radiating with complete concentration.
Suddenly she disappeared in a blur of speed, thrusting her rapier forward only to be stopped by Yoldon who used the very tip of his sword, to clash with her Rapier.
She planned to defeat this boy just like she did with her other opponent, but unfortunately for her, he wasn't just your average student
" Im happy I get to fight against you, let's give these spectators a grand fight, shall we? "
Yoldon said as he would then push the girl back with a simple movement of his sword, he held his weapon to the side whilst walking forward, only to quickly block two strikes that came flying toward both of his shoulders
" I don't plan on giving the viewers a nice fight, I just want to get this fight over with and be ranked 1 in the academy "
Fiana said, as she would then dash backwards, sliding through the ground, only to stand up straight and walk toward Yoldon who did the same
" Alright, let's see which of us swordsmen becomes number 1 "
Yoldon replied, smiling a little before taking on last step, disappearing in a blur of speed as the girl did the same, soon after they appeared at the edge of the stadium, swinging and thrusting their weapons at each other, dodging and blocking each other's attacks with a lot of difficulty.
This immediately made the spectators stand up, yelling and cheering on the two fighters, half of them cheered for Fiana and the others for Yoldon, which after merely two minutes would create a rivalry between the spectators who began to bet, yelling out that Fiana would win, or that Yoldon would completely destroy Fiana.
This went on as the two fighters simply ignored them all and continued to fight, with Fiana now gaining the upper hand with her quick rapier thrusts, making Yoldon take a few steps back, moving his head and shoulders from left to right to avoid all the upcoming strikes.
He was currently relying heavily on his footwork, which saved him from most of her strikes, as which each step he would bring his entire body along with it, finally the boy regained his composure and swung his blade, pushing the girl away, only to take a deep breath seconds later.
" You're fast "
He whispered as he moved his blade to the side, starting to walk forward as he did so, to which the girl replied by charging her rapier with her red sanctuary energy.
The two would then halt all movement, which made everyone watching stare at them carefully; waiting for what was going to happen next.
Hold on then slowly raised his blade, to which Fiana did the same, then in a Sydney burst, the two began to swing their and thrust their weapons at each other.
The two carefully and masterfully moved their feet across the stadium, and moved their arms enough to counter the other or attack the other.
Their pupils would move across their eyeballs quickly, keeping up with every attack, soon after, the two began to disappear and reappear all over the stadium, using every small move they had up their sleeves and every move they could come up with.
They fight was intense for the two, as they knew that if any of them slipped or messed up, they'd lose, and unfortunately for Yoldon, it wasn't his day, he made a huge parry and was about to land the finishing blow, but he stretched his leg out too far and slipped, falling down on his ass only for the girl to take advantage of this and place her rapier at his face.
" One move and you're done "
She said, glaring down at the boy who simply stared at her for a few seconds; the two glared at each other, but then the boy raised his hands up, smiling a bit whilst lowering his head
" I lose "
The spectators started screaming, the ones who supported Yoldon simply yelled at him and the ones who supported Fiana yelled at them, asking for their money as they have won the bets.
As the fight ended, Ean and Shu smiled, feeling a bit satisfied but not all that much, although; they weren't expecting this great of a fight from these children
" That was good "
Shu said
" Yeah I agree "
Ean replied.
