Chapter 143 - Separation

" It's been a few weeks since we were last separated. Right now it's only me, Arthur and mr Ezra, although we're in faraway lands, it was easy to adapt, thanks to Mr.Ezra of course "

Ean thought to himself as he wrote down, those same thoughts onto a notebook, carefully detailing their most important events.

Such as the fact that they landed next to a city, and got jobs as waiters in a restaurant, of course he didn't forget to note all the attention they got the moment they received those jobs, all eyes were on them.

They were unusual looking people, they looked like royalty so of course they'd stare, such that their curiosity could be seen in their eyes

" Ean! Your shift's up "

Arthur's voice could be heard as Ean simply closed his notebook and put away the feather and ink he was using to write

" There are a lot of costumers today, prepare yourself for a lot of servings "

Arthur continued as he shut the door behind him close, proceeding to pat Ean's back who then opened the door, whilst fixing his work clothes

" Octopus meat with rum over to this table, please! "

A drunk woman yelled as she held out a bottle of what seemed to be alcohol, moving it around whilst hugging a man close to her chest

" Coming right away ma'am! "

Ean replied, as he grabbed a small notebook from a pocket on his white shirt, writing down the woman's order

" Lecto beef over here! "

A man screamed, as Ean nodded, writing that down also, quickly moving from table to table, asking the costumers what they wanted, gladly writing down their orders with a smile.

After a few minutes, he had gathered the majority of the orders, seeing as the paper he was writing in was full, he entered a door at the back of the restaurant.

" Here are the orders ma'am "

Ean said, as he looked around, contemplating the kitchen he was currently, seeing the chef's cook as fast as they could

" Oh, Ean, I guess it's your shift now, eh? "

A woman with blonde hair and blue eyes replied as she cleaned her hands off with a towel she grabbed from one of the stoves, proceeding to grab the paper Ean had shown her

" Quite a lot of orders it seems, my restaurant didn't have this many costumers, you know? "

The woman added, making Ean blush as he scratched the back of his head

" Aww, come on it's not that—these costumers didn't come here for us , they came because you guys, your food is amazing! "

Ean replied, making the chef's chuckle as they continued to cook, taking orders from the woman who read through the paper she was given

" Alright, thank you Ean, tell the costumers their orders are in the way, and ask them to wait "

The woman ordered as she placed the notebook on Ean's right hand

" Oh and, don't forget to take these, we can't have them wait for their food without any sort of compensation, they'll think we're a bad restaurant "

The woman added, as she gave Ean a silver plate filled with drinks of all sorts

" Alright "

The boy replied, walking out of the room a few seconds later, carefully maneuvering through the people, placing the drinks on every corresponding table, smiling at them when he did so, and right when he was about to give away the last drink a loud crash interrupted him.

Of course, his curiosity got the best of him so he placed the last drink down and stepped out of the restaurant, looking around, only to see the people of the city run away from a crater nearby.

The smoke of dirt that covered the created soon vanished and out of it two knights stepped out, one with an armor colored in silver and the other in gold

" What's with you guys? Go away, cant you see you're scaring possible costumers? "

Een questioned, while flicking his wrist a bit, proceeding to sigh, seeing as the knights did nothing but stand there

" Well, I'll head back to work, just please avoid causing any trouble around- "

The boy couldn't finish his sentence as a sword quickly passed by his neck, it's force slashing at the air, gathering a blade like wind which split a nearby house in two.

" Hey, what's with you two? "

Ean questioned, standing in an odd position at the moment.

Below him was the silver night, which he had his foot on top of, and behind him the golden night, whom's blade Ean was holding tight, seemingly not afraid that it might cut him

" We can here in order of our grace to catch you and your two other friends and take you three to the Royal castle "

Another voice was a heard as the tip of a Rapier glided across Ean's cheek, leaving a small scratch on it

" And you are? "

Ean questioned as he slammed the golden night on the ground, holding him down like he was with silver to then look up, staring at a man who's armor had an odd greenish silver with diamond on its shoulder and helmet

" I'm Diamond, pleased to make your acquaintance "

The knight said as he held the rapier to Ean's neck who simply stared back at him with a calm expression

" If you knew who I was you wouldn't be pointing this at me "

Ean said as he tapped the blade of the sword, staring deep into the man's eyes before he quickly fell down to his knees, feeling a strong pressure push him down

" What is this?— "

The knight who addressed themselves as Diamond said as he tried to stand, but couldn't, feeling an immense pressure hold him down

" I told you- "

Ean whispered as the knight slowly turned his attention to the boy's serious yet terrifying expression

" That if you knew who I was, you wouldn't be pointing your weapon at me "

Ean added, his eyes releasing an intent so strong it made the knight shake, feeling nothing but pure fear
