" Why a noble? If I'm so strong, why don't you just ask me to become a knight or something "
Shu asked, staring at the man, but now intrigued, as Romulus grinned, seeing as the boy became more interested in the conversation
" Well, if you become a noble, you'll have no other choice but to reproduce, making even more Himuras. Not only will I get what I want from this, but you also will, considering that you'll be able to do whatever you want once your a high ranking noble "
Romulus explained, seeing as Shu began to think, trying to wrap his head around this situation
" So, what do you say? "
Romulus questioned, radioing an eyebrow at the boy, who couldn't help but continue to think. Although he wasn't all that bright, he wasn't stupid either
" No thanks. I want to be able to do what I want not because of any status, but because I'm me. So the answer is no "
Shu replied, there was no innocence behind his tone, no baby-like expressions, no smiles. Nothing that would normally represent Shu's personality
" Are you sure? "
Romulus questioned, as his kind and welcoming expression changed, turning into one of seriousness. His eyes glowed as he glared at the boy
" Yeah. I don't feel like changing my mind "
Shu replied as the atmosphere in the room completed changed, it was no longer a room someone with a weak will could sit on. The pressure that both their presences were spewing and the hostile intent that streamed out of their bodies was so great that the table, chairs, plates, and walls, began to crack.
" I'll ask again. Are you sure? "
The king repeated himself, but all the way could do was stare at him, unfazed by the pressure this man was so vividly releasing
" Pretty sure, yeah "
Shu replied with confidence and calmness in his voice, although the man in front of him was far out of his league, he would not fear him.
The pressure the boy and the man were released began to clash, breaking apart the table on which their food was on, cracking the walls around them even further as their expressions stayed the same.
" Oh no...don't tell me Shu angered the king. Is he fucking crazy!? "
Ean thought to himself, feeling the pressure that was coming out of the dining room, Shu's presence was massive in it of itself, but Romulus's was bigger, thousands of times bigger, and scarier
" So the stories about him being so strong he could be considered a myth were true after all? "
Ean whispered, sweat began to fall from his forehead as he stared at the room, their presence spreading across the entire castle, breaking it apart.
" What's going on? Don't tell me that midget pissed off dad. That dumbass, he'll die "
Arthur said to himself, walking toward Ean, standing by his side, staring at the dining room with the same expression. Awe.
" Wait, something's wrong "
Ean said, as his eyes widened, although he felt two presences clashing against each other, the gap between the two couldn't be any more obvious. Romulu's presence overwhelmed the boy's, it wasn't even a match, compared to Romulus, Shu would stand to be an ant in front of a man.
" He's going to be sucked in. What was he thinking!?! Why would he anger my father! What is wrong with your stupid friend!? "
Arthur yelled, becoming somewhat afraid of what Shu's outcome might be, although he disliked the boy, he did not wish him death
" Boy, you stand unfazed in front of a being so far beyond you, with such calmness, it's incredibly impressive. This simple action has made me like your guts. So "
The pressure which Romulus was forcing upon Shu, was released, no longer there, none existent.
" I'll forget about this and let you be "
The man said, leaning back on his chair, staring at the boy from afar
" Sure "
Shu replied. The pressure he was releasing would also disperse, as he smiled, leaning back on his chair, while Ean and Arthur rushed into the room, looking around, seeing, two calmly sitting men.
" I hope you do well in your academic studies "
Romulus said, slightly waving at the boy, who looked back at him with a smile
" I don't like studying. It's boring "
Shu replied, making the man laugh, as both Ean and Arthur sighed in relief
" Anyway, it's about time we left, I ate plenty, and the food was good so, thanks for dinner "
Shu added, jumping off the chair, landing on the ground perfectly stiff, with his arms spread from side to side with a grin on his face
" Let's go! "
He exclaimed, pointing at what seemed to be the exit in his eyes
" Oh.. ok"
Ean whispered, staring at the king for a few seconds before turning to look back at Shu, following right behind him
" Oh right, Shu. Make sure to tell your parents to stop visiting me uninvited "
Romulus said, waving at the boys with a small smile on his face, despite it looking so welcoming and warm, it gave off a chilling feeling, which made Shu immediately turn to look at him, prepared to fight if he so needed to
" It's really hard to prepare food beforehand when they come to visit me so randomly "
Romulus added, calming Shu a bit, who turned his back to him, beginning to walk out of the room, later the castle and soon his residence, being followed by Ean who wanted to leave the place as soon as possible
" Hey, Shu, what's up with you and the King? "
Ean questioned, following behind Shu who was walking toward the kingdom, with his hands behind his head
" I don't know man, but he's weird. Let's never come back here again "
Shu replied, closing and sticking out his tongue, just like a child would if they were to taste medicine
" Yeah I agree, the king is majestical and all, but he's god damm scary "
Ean added continuing to talk, as Shu who wasn't paying any attention, looked up at the sky, forming shapes with the stars, just like one would do with a cloud
" Hmmm "
