When he entered the temple for the first time, he found a huge hall right beyond the gate. There wasn't a single chair or furniture aside from a giant stone statue inside. This male statue was made of stone and there was a small altar on the bottom of it.
He looked left and right only to find windows that were used to brighten the room. There was only one person in the room.
He was a young man with huge round glasses. He was wearing a blue robe, covering his whole body.
"Oh, We have a unique visitor here." The man smiled and looked at Alisa.
'Well, compared to Lustville Town, there's not much demon in this town. Still, there are some, so the humans don't think much about my presence.' Albert thought for a moment while observing the man.
"I am here to ask you to help him get the blessing," Alisa explained with a calm tone.
"Oh? That's surprising." The man nodded and looked at Albert. He was curious why such a man had yet to receive his blessing. There was no fee involved, so even people from the slums had gotten one. That was why it surprised him to see someone at Albert's age who hadn't received one.
Alisa walked to him and whispered to him a few things about Albert.
When he learned his circumstances, the man immediately smiled. "In that case, I will be happy to help."
Alisa waved her hand, asking Albert to come to them.
Albert carefully walked forward while looking around as this was the first time he had gone into a building this large.
The man didn't mind his action as he simply waited until Albert arrived before him.
After that, he said, "Alright. Since you're here, let's finish this as soon as possible. What you need to do is to lower your head before the statue."
Albert frowned as he was never someone who held a firm belief in any religion. He thought for a moment and lowered his head, feeling he had nothing to lose.
The moment he lowered his head, the man clasped his hands together as if he was praying. He closed his eyes for a minute before a golden light appeared out of nowhere and started enveloping Albert.
Albert was observing the golden light. It felt warm, but he couldn't touch it. Still, he didn't raise his head until the man told him to.
It took him another minute before Bonkey sent him a notification.
[You have successfully received a blessing. Your job will now be updated.]
Name: Albert Gran
Job: Bonk (Villager/Leader/Warrior/Magician/Scout/Healer/Ranger)
Level: 10
EXP: 84%
Race: Demon Dog
Title: Bonk Junior
'Hmm?' Albert widened his eyes when he saw all seven basic jobs coming together with his job. 'Still, why is my job Bonk? Shouldn't it be Bonker?'
[No. The job is similar to your title. Bonk Junior.]
'Huh? Then, is it related to all seven jobs that come with it?' Albert frowned.
[Yes. Bonk is versatile as it can be upgraded to anything you want and you can even wield multiple jobs at once. For example, you can become a Bonk Warrior today and change into a Bonk Magician the next day.]
'Really? That sounds too overpowered.' Albert furrowed his eyebrows.
[The jobs come with their own role. I will give you a hint. Bonk Villager can help you in constructing the Horny Jail.]
'Huh? What?' Albert was screaming inwardly. 'You serious?'
[Do you remember what Fila said regarding Villager and its variant?]
'Ah. Does that mean I can be a construction worker or something to construct the Horny Jail?'
[Yes. However, I need to remind you that all your power will be related to Bonk. In other words, you can't build anything other than something related to Bonk.]
'Yeah. I can understand that, but still… Damn, there are so many possibilities with all these seven jobs. After all, each of them can give birth to a variant.
'This is just my speculation, but I am thinking of Bonk Magic if I become a Bonk Magician. I don't know why but the thought alone is hilarious. At the same time, this is the only job that makes me curious every time I see an RPG game.' Albert narrowed his eyes. 'Is it wrong to wish to become a Magician?'
[Not at all. There is no magic on Earth, so it's normal for you to be curious.]
'Great. What should I do to acquire it? I am—!' Before he finished his question, the man already said, "You may raise your head."
"Y-yeah." Albert's body flinched as he was too focused on his conversation earlier. He straightened his back and looked at the man and Alisa. "Y-yes?"
"Congratulations. You've received a blessing." The man smiled.
"What's your job? Is it Warrior?" Alisa's expression brightened. Her former job before becoming a swordsman was Warrior, so he wished for Albert to acquire the same job. This meant she could have an excuse to train him or something.
Albert scratched the back of his head and said, "It's Bonk. I don't know what the job means…"
"Bonk?" The man and Alisa exchanged looks in amazement.
"You have acquired a variant at the awakening? This is surprising. This means you have something irreplaceable in your heart to the point it manifests together with the blessing." The man smiled. "We don't know which basic job variant it is, but I would like to congratulate you."
"Thank you." Albert nodded. He didn't say anything regarding the fact he could have seven jobs at once. After all, he still had his image to maintain. This image had protected him a few times, so he didn't plan to reveal it soon.
"You're amazing." Alisa was slightly disappointed, but she believed this Bonk was Warrior's variant since Albert was using a bat and had powerful strength. And with this fact, she became even more interested in this new guy.
"I think that's all." The man stepped back, showing that they were free to go.
"Thank you." Alisa patted his shoulder and tugged Albert's arm.
"Thank you." Albert nodded to the man politely as Alisa hurriedly brought him outside.
