This large area within the labyrinth had a different kind of danger, a makeshift forest sculpted out of ice with a persistent fog.
The two had to be careful with their surroundings, especially since they were going to get lost if they split up.
Visibility was low and every step into the fog just felt like they were walking in place.
Sure they could vaguely make out the sight of trees nearby to give them indication of where they were going but they didn't know if the end of this chamber and the exit laid on the other side or if it was to the left or right.
This confusion left them without the certainty of knowing where the exit was and without this, every step they took was not a committed one.
Tsukumo didn't want them to continue like this, not when it felt like it'd be a waste of time to them.
