The pink haired youkai knew she was better than the Commander at hand to hand combat but when it came to manipulating her powers things were not as advantageous. She tried utilizing her earthen powers to hopefully counteract Nyoko's wild threads that held her friends hostage but it was immediately understood through the exchanges of her vines against the reinforced threads that Nyoko's spiritual power overwhelmed Sakura's still.
'' If only I could get closer but she's not going to give me the chance. She's aware of what happened the last time and Sensei didn't train us much in developing our individual abilities, just our melee prowess. I can't get closer as is and even though I could see Sensei pulling it off, I don't have his experience yet to make quick on-the-fly decisions to reach her. ''
Sakura decided to simply try, just to see how far she'd get but immediately she was pummeled by a large palm made out of threads that moved far too fast for her to follow. She was swatted away like a fly but she ran back at Nyoko once more but this time she was slammed several times by several different palms into the ground.
'' Every second that passes, I feel my vitality grow. There's nothing left for you but your inevitable demise so why don't you lay there and let me enjoy your life force after I'm done with these two. I can see from your aura amongst other things that you are an intoxicating one to devour so let us end this in a way where you can at least be honored after your passing. Accept your end. ''
The Dark Hand Commander had nothing left for her but the insistence that she ended this battle in accepting her inability to defeat Nyoko once she had reshaped her approach to the battle. Sakura had cursed her inexperience, she got better but this was still not enough. She had started to scream at Seiya and Hakai, hoping that they'd muster the strength to break free but her words fell on deaf ears as the two of them looked like lifeless husks devoid of their souls.
'' Please you two….. Fight back!!! ''
Sakura screamed even louder but just as before, nothing happened. She started to cry as the threads started to come for her, but before they reached her a miracle occurred. An explosion of stellar energy obliterated the threads as they appeared. Sakura had shook her head, eliminating that feeling of hopelessness growing within her body as she checked to see where the energy had come from. The voice came before the sight of the woman, who appeared in front of Nyoko near instantaneously.
'' You've done well enough. Thank you for being friends with my younger brother and helping him out as much as you have.''
The voice echoed through the area as if she was an omnipotent and omnipresent being but she did indeed have a material form and she floated in front of Nyoko with a shroud of spatial energy surrounding her body that kept her suspended in the air. Nyoko tried to immediately attack the Empress but she snapped her fingers, revealing invisible arrows that penetrated all of the threads that binded Seiya and Hakai and ripping them free from their prisons.
'' How did you get free?!?! ''
Kami didn't respond to Nyoko's question, choosing to pierce her through the chest with her right arm which would hold Nyoko's beating heart in her hand after piercing her all the way through. Nyoko was angry, she couldn't see her son after all but this didn't stop her from getting in some fatal last words.
'' You may have won here today but I am the weakest and youngest of the Commanders. There are far larger gaps between me and the others so what happened here today won't happen with them. You may feel like this was a victory but I know that the Dark Hand has some plans to forever change Japan if not the whole world. Enjoy this victory for as long as you can, until they come for you. ''
The female laughed as she felt her eyes begin to fade although she did see that Gakusha was walking up behind Sakura which forced her to utter a few parting words.
'' Oh so it was you who led them here.. Former Commander Doku. ''
Sakura had turned around to look at Gakusha as he knelt down to offer her some healing vials, she took them but she was hesitant on what she said. Gakusha needed to address this but this was not the time.
'' If you were curious about how I had a vial that was able to blend us into the surroundings here, it was because this used to be my base and I created this blending solution and used it to leave my station. I still needed her to lead us here because I wasn't sure if the entrance was modified since I left but rest assured in the end I did not agree with their ideology and parted ways. If you want more information, we can talk about it at length once Seiya and Hakai wake up. ''
Gakusha helped Sakura up who immediately ran to Hakai, needing not to go to Seiya since he was being held by his older sister. She brushed her hands through his hair before smiling softly at his sleeping face.
'' I would've come sooner to help but Gakusha and I had to demolish the crystal that siphoned my energy so I could restore my reserves. I don't know what they were trying to do with my strength but I have to properly re-establish my position in the territory once more. My younger brother no longer needs me to hold his hand and I know that he'll be an invaluable asset to the future of this country so please Gakusha. Can you help him grow into a fine future king? ''
Kami's words still came off sound but the fact it came from the ruling entity of the land disregarded how her voice came off. Seiya was still unconscious so he had no idea what was being said but his future was important to his sister.
'' I'll do everything I can and then some, if I can benefit this land. I hope you don't mind having an official partnership with my city and academy, some funds and whatnot to help your brother in his future ventures. If that is agreeable to you. ''
Kami smiled in response to Gakusha's offer before replying with a single nod to the head.
Their journey to save the Empress of the lands was over but their adventure was far from over. Young kids who still have yet to experience the far reaches of the lands and all the secrets that are held behind the shadows, their story was just getting started.
