Chapter 108 - SEEING THEOUGH YOUR LIES.

The winner of EU 1918 is Princess Ariadna Augustus Henrich!" the man announced and Ariadna got on the stage, her red dress sparkled and swept the ground as she elegantly strides toward the stage.  They put the sash on her head and gave her the flower and then the trophy.

People cheered for her, and she smiled at them, showing her perfect white symmetrical teeth.

After the whole thing. Michael came over she was chatting with her friends when he arrived.

"congratulations." His smile looked pretentious to her, it made her wonder if this was what his smiles had always looked like.

I have added the vernal leaves and yellow flower." Trent informed Lydia.

"Oh no!" Lydia closed the spell book. "What's the problem?" she glanced at him. "We do not have Angel's tears." Trent raised a brow at her. "Is a key ingredient when making a healing potion," Lydia informed him. "Noted, I will search for it in the black market." "You go to the black market?" Lydia's eyes twitched.

"Yes, that's where you find witches that know what they do." Trent's face was expressionless.

"Witches that know what they do! Are you saying that I don't know what am doing?" Lydia folded her arms.

"who is making a potion without having the key ingredient?" Lydia was tongue-tied.

"I will go buy it." Trent disapparated but he firstly apparated into Ariadna's room. They were all surprised to see him.  "Trent, are you two done with making the potion?" Isolde asked. "No, are they gone." "Yes, they have," Acher said. He made an elephant sound. "They have been doing that, he sounds like an Elephant and Joel like a frog." Faithia pointed out. Trent chuckled. "I wonder why." Their eyes were filled with murderous intent.

Trent placed his hand on Ariadna's chest. "what are you doing?" Augustus asked. "I am giving her some energy to sustain her life."  They saw his eyes glowing gold.

"Have your smiles and laughs, all your loving looks, all of those things been a lie?" Ariadna asked Michael who just kept laughing.  "You're funny and cute, I can't help but fall harder in love with you." He held her hands but instead of the warmness she felt the day they went on their sixth date. His hands were cold.  She tried to pull her hand away but she couldn't."

"Let go of me." Ariadna kept pulling her hand but he wouldn't let go. "I love you Ariadna."

"I said let go!" she struggled with him but he was still holding her hands with his fake annoying smile that she once found cute.

She saw a black light, twirling around her, Michael let go of her hand. Ella floated in the air as the black light covered her completely. "she felt something warm in her chest. "Trent," Ariadna whispered his name. The cloud above her opened and the black light took her up until she got out through the cloud.

Ariadna abruptly sat up with a loud and deep gasp. "My baby!" Isolde ran and hugged her daughter. "Thank you, Trent." She cried as she hugged Ariadna.  "you don't have to thank me, she's my sister and the good one." Faithia shrinks back in shame. The others gathered around Ariadna. "Trent disapparated and apparated in the black market. The people looked creepy and sick. Their clothing is old and torn. There were a lot of potholes and swarms on the ground.

Trent skipped a lot of potholes and swamps to not get his shoes dirty.

He walked down the dark gloomy street of the market, a dirty-looking man with a hunch back grabbed his jacket. "Please give me money to eat." He brought forward his filthy silver bowl. Trent dropped one dal in it and swatted the man's hand.

"thank you, thank you." The man bowed his head to Trent who had already left.

He opened a door to a termite-manifested shop, and the creaking sound of the door made him click his tongue. "you still haven't fixed this door." Trent brought his black hanky and cleaned his hand.

"Welcome, Young master Trent and that creaking sound serves as a bell." The old woman who could barely walk strode towards him, she held her waist and stood in front of him. One of her eyes was completely white and the other eyes were green and bright.

Trent chuckled. "You make so much money and yet you refuse to fix up your shop." Trent sat down on the crooked chair. "this is the black market, if you look poor and miserable, you will live long. If you look rich and live lavishly you will die young." Trent pushed his lips forward with a nod.

"What brings you here today?" the witch asked. "Do you perhaps have angel tears in your procession?" she halted, then she grabbed a vial, her fingers were incomplete, and she unhurriedly walked to him.

"I do have it, but it is quite expensive." Her voice sounded drowsy and old. Trent stared at her with an unexcitable look. "you do know that if you try to cheat me, I will cut off the rest of your fingers." Trent threatened. Her eyes turned slit-like. She hissed at him.

"I never cheated you, you just want me to sell things cheap for you!" the old woman was furious. "That's true, after all, you can't use the money. And don't forget the rule. Is better to look poor and miserable." He forcefully collected the vial from her.

When he opened it, the tears looked like any normal tears it was just sparkly.  "I will give you five dals." The woman scoffed

"This is angel tears do you know how hard it is to obtain an angel tear?" the woman fumed. "Nope, I do not know and it is not my business." The woman gritted her teeth. "besides you should be giving this for free for not reporting you to the organization for secretly selling human blood and body parts to rogues."

The old woman was stunned. "How did you know about that?" the old woman stammered.

"it doesn't matter. Take a look at this for me." Trent threw a red stash at her, gazed at it then covered her nose because of the foul smell.

"Where did you get this?" she asked him.  "It was under my sister's pillow." Earlier when he was giving her his energy. The rotten smell hit his nose, he looked at her pillow and saw something sticking out, so he secretly pulled it out.

"This is very dangerous, it is a very dangerous curse that puts a person to sleep and slowly kills them." The witch exclaimed. "How do I break the curse?"

"It is easy just pee on it." The woman said. Trent blinked his eyes.  "You are saying anybody's pee can break the curse?" he needed to be sure.

"Yes. Take it."  "No, I need you to go pee on it." The woman was speechless.

"I do not feel like peeing." The old woman was annoyed by his attitude.

"then drink a lot of water, until you feel like peeing." The woman frowned as she climbed the small stairs.

"make sure you pee on it, if not I won't just cut off your fingers but your toes too."  The woman clenched her fist and closed her eyes to calm herself,

Back in the palace. Lydia entered Ariadna's room. She met Ariadna and Faithia chatting. Ariadna was still seated on the bed, with her back resting against the wooden stand of the bed, Faithia sat beside her, her eyes were swollen and red.

"Lydia, is there a problem?" Ariadna was the first to notice her. "Is not much of a problem, I think my earring fell under your pillow when I fluff it." She hoped that her lie sounded believable.

"Sure, you can check." Lydia smiled. Yesterday when she was checking on Ariadna she had a very strong stench coming from under her pillow, she tried to find out what it was but the cries of Faithia and Isolde got in the way. Faithia fell on her sister asking her to wake and the queen was shouting and begging everyone to bring Trent.

"that can't be, when you went into the bathroom, I arranged your bed and there was nothing under your pillow." Said Faithia . "that's true, when I came out of the bathroom faithia was arranging my pillow.

Seeing how sure the two were, Lydia wondered if the person had moved it somewhere else."

"Besides, Ari just woke up, I won't advise that she moves…" Lydia walked out without letting her finish. "I wonder what is bothering me."

"It must be that the fact that our dear brother is sleeping with her has made her disrespectful towards us."

"Faithia!" "What? You know that am saying the truth."  She harrumphed.

Lydia was walking through the hallway in deep thought when she bumped into someone.

"Great, I have been looking for you?"  Acher held her hand.

"Not now Acher." She removed her hand from his and prepared to leave but he blocked her path.

"I know that you're mad at me…"  "Acher, not now, please. I have something very important to do." She left Acher confused and in a stupor.
