"Twelve points!!!" She saw Trent's sword touch Joel's shoulder.
"That is what they call the high outside attack. Lydia informed her.
The green light turned on again. This time, the sword landed close to the waist.
"That is the low outside attack."
Ella was impressed.
"Thirteen points!!!"
The blade touched the middle of the chest to the shoulder.
"And we call that attack the High inside.
"Trent really knows how to fence." Ella's eyes sparkled as she stared at Trent.
"Fifteen points to Trent!!!" The referee
blew the horn ending the second round.
"And the last attack."
"The low inside attack," Ella answered.
"Looks like you have truly learned a lot from me." Lydia's eyes were filled with pride.
Joel threw his mask on the ground, his face turned red in anger and he wasn't the only angry one, Fiona and Sabrina Potter were also boiling with anger when they saw Trent hugging Ella.
"What are you doing? People are looking." She pushed him away, blushed, and looked down, not daring to look at his face.
Trent smiled slyly at her. "Do you want us to move it to the room?" He whispered into her ear. Ella's body shivered, she began to recall what happened in the hospital and her face turned red.
"Looks like someone is being naughty. Recalling what happened in the hospital, well, we can just do it all over again."
His eyes danced with amusement, while he teased her.
"What do you mean?" Ella found herself stuttering.
Isolde walked over to Joel, who was still fuming in anger, Fiona sat next to him but her mind wasn't there.
"How did you lose to the bastard, you were owning him earlier." His mother scolded him and she sat by his right.
Joel is the only one who understands what actually happened.
Trent did not take the match seriously earlier, until when the human told him not to lose. Joel abruptly stood, making Fiona and his mother Flinch.
He walked over to the referee.
"I want to switch our weapons to Èpée."
The referee's looked indifferently at Joel.
"I can not do that my prince, it was decided by the king that the weapon for the matches will be foil." He said.
Joel gritted his teeth. He opened his mouth to speak but Isolde beat him to it.
"Are the princes that are playing the match and if Joel was to switch to epee, then you will do as he said." The Queen proudly stood next to her son with a stern look.
The referee felt a headache coming.
"What are they up to?" Ella asked Trent as they watched the Queen talking to the referee with an air of arrogance.
"Mother and Joel are the worst." Acher clicked his tongue.
"Are they planning to bribe the referee?" Courtois asked Acher whose sight followed Trent.
"Who knows, those two are unpredictable."
Acher's face held a grim expression.
"What is Queen Isolde doing, isn't it time for the third round?" Elder Qing asked in a shaky voice. The man is said to be more than Six thousand years of age.
His skin is now saggy and wriggled and he could barely see, but his senses and physical strength are like that of a youth.
"Charles!" The man ran to Augustus who called for him.
"Yes, your majesty." The man went to one knee and placed his hand across his chest with his head lowered down.
"Tell the referee to agree with what Joel and the Queen asked for, in return Trent can add the rule of his own." Augustus's command.
"Yes, my king" The man leaped from there and landed next to the referee.
"I have never seen a Vampire jump that high." Elder Qing was impressed.
"He is one of a kind." The king proudly replied.
"The King said that you should accept the Queen's request," Charles informed the referee.
Joel smiled happily as he looked at Trent who remained expressionless.
"But he also said to inform Prince Aron to add his own rule."
Isolde and Joel were stunned.
"Thank you, Charles. My rule is simple, we do it the vampire way."
Joel glared at Trent.
"Accept my dear, show this bastard his place." She held Joel's arm.
"Evil stepmother, I know your parents trained better than this, so stop disgracing them by talking like a twelve-year-old. I might just tell them to train you again." He smirked.
"You!!!" She clenched her hands and gritted her teeth.
"Don't talk to my mother like that," Joel yelled at him.
"I am going to go wait in the Piste." Trent leaped and landed on the piste waiting for Joel to arrive.
The queen's eyes were filled with blood lust.
"You must win." She looked into Joel's eyes.
"Ok. Mum" with that he also jumped and landed on the piste.
The workers connected the cord to their lamè, and their weapon was changed to epee.
"You can now begin!!" The referee blew the horn.
Joel ran and lunged his sword at Trent. Trent parries and tries to riposte, but Joel disengages, he attacks again and Trent tries to block but Joel slides down his sword and the tip touches Trent's leg.
The red light turned on and it was also displayed on the scoreboard.
"One point."
Joel raised his mask, and so did Trent. He gave Trent a mocking smile.
Trent's eyes twitched in anger.
"He used a feint attack on Trent." Courtois laughed.
"But Joel has put himself in trouble, Trent seems to be angry," said Acher as his eyes never left the arena.
Isolde also smirked when she saw that Joel scored.
"You can never beat me, Trent, I am the true son of the king and you're just his bastard." He slides his mask with a sneer on his face.
The calm expression on Trent's cracked.
"It is my fault for going easy on you, now let me show you my true power."
He also slides his mask.
Joel readied himself to attack but Trent disappeared from his sight.
His eyes widened.
Where did he go? he thought to himself as he looked around.
Then he gasped and his mouth went wide open. All he could see was a thousand tips of Trent's blade lungeing at him.
Everyone in the stadium was surprised all they could see was the green light flickering and the number going up on the scoreboard.
Trent scored more hundred points within a few seconds.
The entire place went quiet even the referee couldn't speak.
"What kind of monster are you raising?" Elder Qing had to inquire.
But Augustus just grinned.
"Ttttthe winner is Trent!!!" the referee announced but the hall was still quiet
King Augustus was the first to clap and the others joined in. Except for the trio who hates our very own Trent Vanderwood.
"The price of Five million dals will be awarded to Prince Aron. The referee announced using a mic.
"Excuse me," He collected the mic.
Joel was still standing in the arena with his sword pointed in the air.
"I would like to give my reward to Ella." Trent smiled at her.
"Ooh! Loverboy." Lydia hugged her by the shoulder. Ella blushed.
Fiona gritted her teeth, her eyes turned red due to anger, she stood up from where she was seated and began to make her way to Ella.
Trent was standing in front of King Augustus and Elder Qing.
"I am impressed by your skills, young man. I heard a lot about you from my son. Qing Luo." Trent looked up and his eyes met Qing Luo's eyes.
He looked back at the old man who could barely keep his eyes open.
"Thank you, I am honored." He bowed his head to Elder Qing.
The old man smiled.
"I have a granddaughter who is around your age, I feel like the two of you will get along." Trent looked at the old man who was trying to play a matchmaker.
"I appreciate the fact that you consider me worthy enough…." He stopped talking because of the chatter that got louder.
He turned around and looked in Ella's direction. Fiona was standing in front of her Trent squinted his eyes.
"What did you say?" Ella had to ask her again.
"I Fiona Potter, Challenge Ariella Patterson to a game of fencing."
