That morning the three of them had left for the hill which was directly behind where they were staying. The car they used was left in the parking lot where they were staying. The three of them walked down a small path in the area that led directly to the entrance to the hill area. They deliberately left when it was still dark so that near the entrance it was still quiet and no one was there.
Right in front of the entrance there is an iron fence filled with barbed wire. Not only the fence but almost the entire edge of the hill was surrounded by barbed wire. This is done so that it is not easy for anyone to enter the hill area. There are several writings prohibiting entry clearly attached to the front of the fence.
