In the restaurant, Calvin is seen sitting in the corner reading comics, accompanied by a cup of his favorite coffee, leaning over while enjoying the music that is playing. The place is more like a minimalist cafe because the setting of the place is modern, with many aesthetic paintings hanging on the walls making everyone who comes more comfortable.
Of course the place has changed a lot since the last time Calvin was there, but the unique thing is that the food is still the same as before, only the menu has now expanded. Not too crowded but not too quiet, almost all of the visitors are young people who come just to hang out with their friends.
The clock showed 05.00 pm Calvin had been there for about 30 minutes hoping that Fay would come back to that place. The coffee in front of him was already cold but he didn't care about it he continued to sip it.
Suddenly Parker contacted him through Calvin's earphones.
"How are things there?"
"My coffee is halfway down, it's cold too."
"Why not have the waiters over there to warm it back up."
"At first, I wanted to swear at this coffee to make it hot, but I'm too lazy to scream."
"I'll help you from here" YOU STUPID COFFEE! IF IT DOESN'T USE DON'T BE COFFEE! SHOULD KNOW YOURSELF TO BE COFFEE! HOT BACK QUICK!"
"I almost broke my ear, idiot Parker!"
"Hahahahaha, I just wanted to help."
"Shut up stupid."
Calvin looked at everyone in the room for a moment, he didn't see anything strange at all. He was getting tired of sitting there alone. He called the waiters intending to order snacks so that there would be chewing activities.
When Calvin was reading his comic again, suddenly a woman came up to him and greeted him with a big smile. Di is the woman who met Calvin in the park near the lake.
"Hey, we meet again."
"Wow, what a coincidence."
"May I sit here."
"Certain." Calvin smiled sweetly seeing the woman back.
Then the woman raised her hand to call the waiters, she ordered coffee and snacks.
"You ordered something to eat?" Ask the woman.
"I just ordered it, I've only been drinking coffee so it tastes a little bland."
"Have you been here long?" Ask the woman.
"Well maybe 30 minutes, until I almost know the song that's playing here."
"Hahaha very interesting."
"Are you done with your lectures?" Ask Calvin.
"Well just finished, was hungry so I stopped by this place."
"Meaning quite often to this place."
"Well not really, but I don't know what feelings brought me to stop by quite often, maybe it's comfortable."
The two of them started chatting again, soon after the waiters came to deliver the woman's food and coffee. The afternoon sky was already orange, indicating that dusk had arrived, the perfect time to enjoy coffee accompanied by the strains of folk music and the beautiful woman in front of him.
"May I smoke?" Ask Calvin politely.
"Of course, it's no good drinking coffee and not smoking."
"You smoke too?"
"Yes but I prefer to use e-cigarettes." said the woman while taking out her e-cigarette from the bag.
"Wow great." Calvin smiles.
"Oh, almost forgot, we haven't met, have we? I'm Clara."
"That's right, I'm Calvin."
They shook hands with big smiles, puffs of smoke began to fill their casual chat that afternoon. I don't know what topics they talked about, they were always connected, even though that day they just met by accident.
Calvin's gaze remained wary in all directions hoping that Fay would come back to visit the tavern. However, there was absolutely no sign of Fay's arrival that afternoon.
After hours they and Clara said goodbye to go home because it was already dark.
"Looks like I have to go home."
"Now it's better if I take it."
"Okay, but we bring our own motorbike."
"Does not matter." Calvin replied smiling horse.
Finally Calvin went to drop Clara, they rode casually side by side. Calvin escorted from behind, they drove leisurely until they arrived in front of Clara's house. When he got there, Calvin was surprised he just realized that the road he was passing was in the same direction as Calvin's house, and it turned out that Clara's house was right next to Calvin's house. Calvin was a bit dumbfounded and looked at his house to make sure it was his house which was right next to Clara's.
"Hey why are you late again, let's go in first."
"Okay."
Calvin put his motorbike into the yard, then he took off his helmet and entered the house following Clara. What surprised him was that the house used to be Fay's childhood friend's house, since Fay moved he has never been in that house again, and this is the first time he has entered the house.
"Maybe he's the new owner because this house has been abandoned for a dozen years." thought Calvin.
"Sit down, I'll make you a drink."
"There's really no need to bother."
"Relax, it's okay."
Calvin looked at the room, everything was still the same as before nothing had changed. Many memories appear there, because almost every day he played with Fay as a child. When he saw the photo he was surprised by one of the photos, it turned out to be the same photo that he showed Viola and Parker.
Calvin thinks that if Clara is the new owner of this house, why are these photos still there, while the original owner is gone. Calvin's thoughts are then broken when Clara arrives to bring him a drink.
"You live alone?" Ask Calvin.
"Yes, I live here alone, only about 8 months. Before here I lived at my grandmother's house which was quite far away, then when I was in college I rented an apartment near campus for quite a while. Finally my grandmother asked me to stay here while taking care of the house. this."
"What a comfortable house." Calvin's smile.
"Well I really like this house, I feel this place is full of memories even though I can't remember them at all, but the warm feeling of this house makes me much calmer in all situations."
"I understand a little how you feel, because I also live alone but everything turns out to be fun when I have people I trust."
"You're lucky then." Clara's smile.
There was suddenly a moment of silence, as their conversation became that serious. The ticking of the clock sounded louder, while drinking the coffee that was getting cold, Calvin took out his cigarette.
Their conversation stopped for a moment, Calvin was still glued to the photo hanging on the wall, he was quite hesitant to ask that question. But to make sure the information he got he started asking about the photo.
"I'm curious about this photo." Calvin said as he stood up to the same photo he had.
"Hahahahaha that's a photo of me when I was little."
"Seriously? Which one are you?" Calvin was astonished.
"I'm the one sitting next to the guy with the cute cheeks." Clara said with a smile.
Calvin was very surprised to hear that, because the man in question was himself but he tried to remain calm. Calvin still pretended not to know, even though inside his heart was starting to get mixed up.
"Then who are the three of them?"
"My grandmother said it was a childhood friend of mine, but I can't remember it at all."
"How could that be?"
"In the past, my parents and I had an accident that took the lives of both my parents, then I was in a coma for 2 weeks. I also had a brain injury so I forgot all the events that I experienced since I was little. From there my grandmother took care of me until now, I don't remember the accident at all. When I woke up from the coma I was really like a newborn, unable to do anything and didn't know anyone. Slowly and gradually my grandmother began to tell me who I was, what had happened to me. Therapy therapy I also did to recover my memory, but it still doesn't work."
Calvin was so surprised to hear that, he immediately sat back down. He finally knew now after all these years what had happened to his childhood best friend.
"Clara Fay Lexa." Calvin said quietly.
"How do you know my full name?"
"I don't know, that name suddenly appeared."
Calvin is still trying to cover it up, because it would be so funny if he suddenly said that he was the one in the photo.
"I'm sorry if my question reminds you of your past."
"It's okay, I'd be happy if someone would listen to my story."
"Okay maybe I should go home, so you can rest." Calvin's smile.
"If you have time, stop by here."
"Certain."
Calvin rushed out of the house straight to his motorbike, Clara accompanied him to the front.
"Be careful on the way."
"Okay, you slept well." Calvin said with a big smile.
Calvin drove fast, he didn't go straight to the house afraid that Clara would find out that his house was right next door. He turned around so that it looked like he had gone far away, but in fact he was returning to a house which was right next to Clara's.
