Actions Speak Louder Then Words (REUPLOADED)

Fifth Realm, The Infinite Corridor

(Jezebel's POV)

Actions define a person.

They speak louder than words.

It is what shows the true colors of a person and reveals the truth that lies beneath the facade they portray.

Each action that a person makes comes with its own level of tolerance and consequences.

But in the end it mainly boils down to one or two of three main categories:

Some actions can be forgotten. Others can be forgiven. Some, outright cannot.

On that note, I must say that this world that we call Yggdrasil is a very large planet.

There are thousands, if not millions, of other civilizations and cultures that exist beyond the horizon. Each realm filled to the brim with various people enjoying a large variety of different cultures and different traditions.

So of course, to no one's surprise, there are many despicable people living amongst them all. Some may choose to hide in the shadows while others live luxurious lifestyles in plain sight.

And yet despite the vast differences between each of these bastards, they all share one thing in common.

Each of them indulges in sinful actions commonly related to the word, "evil".

Some steal out of greed and envy. Others kill out of wrath. Deadbeat parents neglecting their children, that's sloth. Nobles and kings look down upon the lesser folk out of pride.

And you know what happens with lust.

Needless to say, they are scum. The lowest of the low. Atrocities that must be banished from existence with no remorse. That's how I see it anyways.

Regardless, Dazai however, is one of the few people in this world whose actions told that he was not "scum".

So as long as his parents continue to do their job and raise him up properly, he'll never do wrong to the few that he considered as friends.

He, and the entire family he was born into are the polar opposite to the filth that plague this miserable planet.

Sure, according to Yamato, he may be feeling a little misguided in his pursuit to power and overcome his weak self, but he wasn't some cold hearted beast that would refuse the advances of a loving woman without proper reason.

And once I thought about it some more, I realized that what really happened during that situation probably went something along the lines of this:

Yamato witnessed him overexerting himself during training and dragged him back inside to get some sleep. He probably got a little bit irritated, but eventually caved into her demand.

After enjoying a relaxing shower, he probably refused her cuddling advances due to his exhausted and worn out body being unable to handle her clingy hugs.

In other words, while it's possible they still slept in the same room, he made a "tactical retreat" so he could properly get a good night's sleep. Atleast without having to suffocate within her bosom.

Well, actually...

There may be one other reason as to why he tried to push her away at the time.

But before I speculate anything, I had to ask something that was completely unrelated to this.

"Well, Cerulean Academy's Entrance Exams are coming up aren't they?" I asked.

"Cerulean? Oh, yeah. What about it?"

"I see, so the boy's got school to worry about...."

Judging from the way she responded, it looks like my suspicions were correct.

Now everything made perfect sense.

Once you recall all the known facts and put two and two together, it's pretty obvious to see that Dazai must've had been trying to focus on only his studies and training. Perhaps, even more so than before.

And if the dullness in Yamato's eyes were any indication, she's probably been denied of her pleasures on multiple occasions before as well.

Honestly, none of this is hard to imagine since Yamato is one of those clingy types of overbearing women. Which is a character trait that may be endearing every so often, is not something too pleasant to handle on a day to day basis.

And if you really think about it some more, this comes full circle as to why it was so odd to see her come back from "training" with the others.

Most likely she used their training as an excuse to spend more time with Dazai.

Unfortunately, she bit off way more than she could chew at the wrong time, which probably ended up in today's mess.

*Sigh*

Now that I made sense of the situation, I couldn't help but chuckle a little to myself. Perhaps I found a little joy in how nonsensical this situation was.

After realizing that nothing serious was happening, I decided to try reassuring Yamato.

"Just give him some time. I'm sure he'll go back to normal."

"Whatever you say, father...."

What I said was true. This wasn't a "situation" she could fix herself. Its something that can only be resolved when Dazai begins to act differently.

In fact, the more involved she tries to be, the more damage she'll cause to herself in the long run. So it was better to just leave him for a little why.

Unfortunately, I can't really tell if Yamato understands that herself. But whether or not she did, she still didn't seem the least bit pleased with that answer.

Since both her voice and attitude were still down in the dumps, it seemed like my words of "encouragement" had no effect on her.

Now that I think about it, there were two other girls in that household that Yamato could confide with, Dazai's little sister and his mother.

If they were any smart then they probably would've told her the same thing, which would make my words feel a lot less impactful to her.

Suddenly, she spoke up.

"But to train till daybreak? Day after day? Back to back? Being so engrossed for almost years on end? That's some next level determination."

Although it was just a mere thought, I wondered if this had any sort of correlation to a certain event she accidentally said that happened three years ago.

Regardless, if what I said wasn't enough to improve her mood, then it would be better to just outright change the subject to something more jovial.

Actually, now that I thought about it, this was the perfect time for me to bring "that" up.

"Seventeen now. Wow. So the boy has become a grown man now huh?" I asked, this time talking with a somewhat suggestive tone.

"I suppose so." She said while shrugging her shoulders. After she said that, she went back to drinking her tea.

"So have you considered marrying him yet?"

Those words immediately made Yamato choke on her drink. Wasn't till long before her face became flushed with embarrassment.
