Once again the room was silent and full of tension the only person who had no problem with Cul becoming King was Bestla his mother, his brothers had a bad relationship with him so they wanted the position to go to Odin, but the only person with a say on who inherited the throne was Bor.
" Asgard would be in good hands with either choice, but I have made my decision," announced Bor
"Cul, you are my successor."
Everything was still, it was as if everyone present was afraid to move or breathe, as that would have made this real, all except Bestia, she smiled as she looked at her son, the boy who was cold to her since the day he could talk, yet she loved him unconditionally, she really believes this to be the best outcome, Odin is more likely to submit to Cul than Cu is to submit to Odin, at least now the chance of her having to watch her children fight each other was less.
"I appreciate the offer father, but I must decline."
Cul states Shocking everyone present, but Bor.
Bor hearing this narrows his eyes and speaks as he emits pressure on Cul.
"It wasn't an offer, It was an order."
"Father, this act has lost its luster, you have no power to control me, you are dying I will do as I like, and even if you were at full power do you really believe you could beat me as I am now ?"
Cul questions.
"Its as you have always said, power dictates everything, I refuse the throne because I have the power to do so, I disobey you because I have the power to do so, so don't push your luck, its already a miracle I returned to Asgard, there is nothing here that I want or need, right now Asgard is more of a liability than a reward to me."
Cul spoke the brutal truth, shocking everyone present, they all held great pride in their blood and heritage as Asgardians, but here he is disrespecting it in front of them, suddenly four different pressures locked on to Cul and began to pressure him.
Snorting, Cul looked his father in his eyes as he also mobilized his divine energy and a horrifying pressure engulfed not only the palace but the whole of Asgard, the only person spared was his mother, Asgard itself was now engulfed in darkness, as the weaker Asgardians had already fainted and the stronger ones were unable to do anything as they could barely keep conscious, Land itself wasn't shaking, trembling, it was slowly turning to purple dust from the outer edge inward.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Odin and his brother all dropped to their knees, as their bodies refused to obey them, as Cul was still locked in a staredown with his father who was barely hanging on.
The ground under Cul had long since turned to nothing, leaving only darkness below him as he floated there and it spread outward threatening to destroy the whole room.
"You've made you're point stop." Says Bor in a defeated tone.
And just like that, the pressure vanished like it was never there, but the unconscious people and the void below Cul were proof enough.
"What are you going to do Cul since you have declined to be the new king? will you submit to Odin?"
"Submit? do I give off that impression?"
"Of course not, but if you stay on Asgard you will be a threat to Odin rule and a path to an internal war."
"After I help with the war, I will be returning to my realm, Odin can have Asgard, My forces are already stronger than this declining race will ever be," says Cul
"Odin, You will be my successor, everyone leave, we will gather again in two days to make final preparations for the war to come, Odin's new role will be announced then as well."
Hearing this Cul disappeared, as Odin and the other brothers also left, leaving Bestia and Bor alone.
"That boy, has become stronger than I thought, he might become a threat to Asgard in the future, but that's not my problem, Odin will have to figure out how to deal with his Brother," says Bor
"Cul won't do anything, as long as Odin doesn't interfere with Cul he has no reason to be an enemy of Asgard even though he has no love for it either."
"Bestia, talk to him, I'm sure you noticed it too."
(With Cul)
After leaving his family Cul appeared in a forest as he walked until he came to a clearing, and there stood Bard, looking the same as he did years ago.
"My lord that pressure you released was terrifying."
"It was necessary."
"I have something for you, put your hand on this sphere."
Bard without even questioning put his hand on the sphere that appeared in Cul's hands, it wasn't long before he felt something enter his body and then.
Bang!
Bard drops to the ground.
"It will take some time for him to gain control over the divinity of sky absorbed from Zeus, but when he's done he will surely have a raise in strength," says Cul
