When Asahi woke up, he still felt somewhat tired but refreshed at the same time, he remembers what he and Miyako talked about last night and looked over at her bed to see her sleeping calmly, he had realised awhile ago that Miyako slept quite stiffly but this time she was clearly relaxed.
He decided to brush his teeth and go out for a walk, it was around the same time that Miyako had went for a walk yesterday, he wanted to clear his mind and have a look around, he went to greet the old woman and saw her setting up her store as always and went over to give her a hand, the area was still empty and more silent than the day before, "Hello there Asahi, you're up quite early today aren't you." Asahi laughs, "It appears so."
After doing helping her set up the store, they went inside to talk about what's been going on lately, "Did someone with long black hair and green eyes come by yesterday?" He asked, the old lady was surprised at his sudden question, "Yes there was, how did you know?"
"That was a friend of mine." He says while scratching the back of his head, "How was she like when she came here?" The old woman stays silent thinking about how Miyako was like when she bought a flower from her, "She was quite silent and calm, you're lucky to have a friend like her, so.. what is your relationship?" The old woman asks, Asahi is nervous about the question but decides to tell her what happened recently and about the accident.
The old woman is shocked at the news and immediately apologises, "I'm so sorry I asked you to help even though you're very injured!" Asahi told her to pay it no mind as he wanted to help her anyway, "But.." Asahi told her not to worry too much as he was fine with it, then he started talking about what happened yesterday with Miyako and asks the old woman what he should do from now onwards, the old woman rubs her chin while thinking, "This might not be very useful advice, but maybe you should try to get her to engage in more activities, there is a sports event happening soon so maybe you can bring her there to do something more lively?" Asahi is surprised at what the old woman said, he would think she was saying that to spite him had he not known the woman for a long time.
"You should really mind your words more you know... but thanks I'll think about it." The old woman thinks about what she said but can't find any fault in her words, "There is a poster that I saw somewhere, you can try looking for it, it's somewhere nearby, maybe around the corner?" Asahi walks out thanking the old woman, after he leaves, the old woman sighs, what was to become of her if Asahi is gone? she was only hanging on because of him.
Meanwhile back at the hotel, Miyako wakes up and is nervous to talk to Asahi and slowly turns around to look at his bed only to see that he wasn't there, "He must've gone out." She whispered to herself, she lifted herself out of bed, her body felt surprisingly light, she went to brush her teeth and change into her other set of clothes, after doing that, she opened the door and went out to look for Asahi as she wanted to speak to him.
She exits the hotel at the main lobby and instantly feels a blast of cold wind, she thinks it might not be an enjoyable experience to be walking out in this weather alone, but she really wanted to talk with Asahi so she just walked out whilst shivering, she goes to the old woman to ask if she had seen Asahi pass by earlier, Miyako didn't see the old woman outside the shop so she goes closer to peer inside, she sees the old woman sitting alone at the table and decides to enter, "Excuse me you can't come in her-" The old woman sees who entered so stops talking and looks down.
She smiles and asks Miyako to take a seat, "Did you have a problem with the flower?" She tried to play it off as if Miyako was a stranger who just so happened to have bought a flower from her store recently, but Miyako knew that the old woman was close to Asahi so she talked to her like a friend, the old woman is reminded of the first time she met Asahi was when he had woken up early and went to work, but he passed by as the old woman was setting up her store and he stopped by to help her, after that they talked a few times every month about any stories they had to tell, Asahi seemed to enjoy speaking to her and she did too.
What had surprised her the most was how Asahi spoke to her like a friend even as it was their first meeting with each other, and now the same thing was happening with Miyako, she looked down at the table and covered her face with her hands mumbling to herself, "Asahi found such a nice girl.." The old lady put down the front and talked to her like a friend as well, she told her Asahi went around the corner to continue his walk and Miyako thanked her and left the building, the old woman felt sad that such a young couple who were so nice were going to be gone in a few days, she couldn't bare to think about it so she went outside to try and get her mind off of it by watching as time went by and she returned to everyday life.
The old woman decided to be a spectator in the story that was to unfold in the coming days and inspired by the two, she tried to enjoy her life to the fullest as well, Miyako walks along the roadside looking around for Asahi before she spots him looking at a poster on the wall, he looked like he was thinking about something so Miyako approached him and asked, "What are you doing?" Asahi was scared by her sudden appearance behind him and jumped, "You woke up already?"
Miyako looks at the poster he was looking at and sees it's about a sports event that was going to happen later that day, "It's a sport that I enjoyed when I was a kid." Miyako looks at Asahi and asks, "Do you want to go?"
