Vael nodded as Evan said, "Thank you for listening."
"Evan!" Vael said, "Then promise me you will visit here again with your wife."
Evan thought, "I'll try to persuade her."
Vael grinned, "She will come."
Evan smiled at her.
The three of them watched her go back to the forest. Before she left, Vael went to Astar, who was looking sad.
"Here," Vael gave him the herb that Astar and Evan were picking out. "Thank you for saying you are going to protect me."
She smiled, and Astar's face began to get red again. Vael then left and entered the forest, leaving the three at the entrance.
"It's for her good, Astar," Evan patted Astar, who was on the verge of tears. "But, I'm sure, soon, you will see her again. Until then, just grow healthy and strong enough to protect her."
Astar nodded as he wiped his tears and looked at the herbs as they walked away from the forest.
Devo sighed, "You are still a kid. Crying like a baby."
