The Countess smirked, "That's an art, darling. Why can't you appreciate the beauty of it?"
"How horrible!" one of the nobles whispered.
"She is truly evil."
The Countess looked at the nobles, "Horrible? If I'm horrible, then aren't you all hypocrites?"
"Silence!"
Reeva slammed the table as she stood up and faced the nobles, "I'm horrible, you said? Then do you think you are a much better person than me? All of you cared so much about your dignity and rank that you even ostracized illegitimate children and hid your spouse's infidelity. Aren't you all as horrible as me?"
The nobles went silent after Reeva's speech while the knight forced Reeva to sit again.
Then the Emperor said, "Illegitimate or not, and whatever status a child has, children shouldn't be battered and bruised, Reeva Harriston. I judged that you don't have an ounce of guilt in regards to abusing and attempting to murder the Grand Duchess."
