Upon hearing the Countess' remarks, the Emperor smacked his armrest and glared at her while Count Harriston hid his face with his hands.
"Countess Reeva, it seems like you are crossing the line. She is the Grand Duchess now, which means she is the second highest-ranking member of your society. Show your respect, or I might condemn you now!" The Emperor said. "You didn't even swear your oath yet but kept blabbering."
Then he looked at Chamberlain, which the man understood immediately.
Chamberlain asked, "Do you swear an oath that what you just said was all true and what you will state from now on is nothing but the truth?"
Reeva looked at the Emperor, "I, Reeva Harriston, swear by the honour of House Harriston to tell nothing but the truth." Then she looked at Ashley and smiled.
