"Lana!" Count Harriston yelled, making the attention shift to him. "Stop this right now, or I swear–"
"Silence!" The Emperor said, interrupting Count Harriston. "Count Harriston, you haven't learned your lesson for three days. Do you want to be dragged out from here again?"
The Count clenched his fist as he returned to his position and listened to Mrs Lana's statement.
"Are you alright, Ley?" Gilbert asked upon seeing Ashley shivering. He had noticed it upon hearing how they treated her in that house.
"I-I'm…alright. Don't worry," Ashley said with a forceful smile at Gilbert.
Gilbert gritted his teeth as he thought, 'Of course she is not. She is trying so hard not to show it, but the abuse she suffered from them is still affecting her. Is there anything that I could do for her?'
Gilbert patted her back gently as he listened to Mrs Lana's testimony when someone spoke.
