Ashley and Cornelia spent the whole afternoon chatting and drinking tea, and before the sun had set, they bid themselves goodbye to each other.
"Thank you for the invite and the gift, Your Majesty," Ashley said before leaving.
Cornelia smiled, "I'm glad you liked it." Then she added, "It's just a pity they couldn't find his wedding ring that symbolises your love for each other."
Ashley fell silent upon hearing her words. Then she looked at her left hand, where she was wearing her ring underneath her gloves.
'That's right. Louie and the others only recognised the body due to Evan's clothes and the handkerchief. But they never found the ring at all,' Ashley thought.
"I think I shouldn't have brought that up," Cornelia said upon realising Ashley's silence.
Ashley looked at her, "It's alright, Your Majesty. I know you don't mean harm at all."
Cornelia then hugged her, "Please come revisit me."
Ashley smiled, "I will, Your Majesty."
