After visiting the orphanage, as she had promised, Ashley rested the next day. She was in her room as Mae served her tea for the afternoon when they heard a knock on her door.
"Who is it?" Ashley asked.
"It's Gilbert," answered the voice.
"Come in," upon saying that, the door opened, and Gilbert hurriedly walked towards her.
"Ley! You wouldn't believe what happened today at the Imperial Palace," Gilbert excitedly said, making Ashley jump in surprise.
"Gilbert!" Lola yelled as she entered the room with an angry look. "Don't startle Her Highness and pounce yourself on her. Can't you see that she is unwell?"
Ashley looked at Lola and smiled awkwardly, "I'm fine, Lola. Please don't get mad."
