Louie paced back and forth, mumbling, "I should have listened to Evan. I should have waited for the knights to come earlier. If I only had listened to him, I wouldn't have to leave him inside with the shadow knights. This is my fault. I should have listened to him."
Louie heard footsteps walking towards them, which made him turn back. There, he saw Count Lottway and Owen with some of their knights.
"Marianne, Your Highness," Count Lottway called as he approached them while Owen followed him. Upon hearing his voice, Marianne flinched as she turned towards the source slowly.
The Count immediately hugged Marianne, making Marianne frown and shocked, "My daughter… My precious daughter." Count Lottway said as he held Marianne so dearly. Then he added, "I'm so glad you are alright. I thought I would lose someone I loved again."
Upon hearing his words, Marianne got teary, but it vanished upon hearing Owen speak.
