Ashley frowned as she asked, "Did they get punished by the death penalty?"
Gilbert couldn't answer her. It's already been five days since then, but Gilbert's memory of that night was still fresh.
After Evan orders them to follow the cat, Gilbert joins them in search of Ashley. The cat led them to the abandoned area of the city, wherein most of the citizens died when the Black Flu struck.
Upon arriving there, it was pure darkness. There were no streetlights, so they had to bring lanterns. Then the cat immediately ran towards an alley as Evan followed her. Gilbert and the other knights tried catching up to them, but they lost track of their shadows in the darkness.
Gilbert sighed as he faced the other knights, "Split into two groups. One will go on the left and the other on the right. I'll go and try to find His Highness. If you find any suspicious person, don't hesitate to interrogate them."
