Evan stood up from the couch and walked towards his desk. "I have so many things to do. Please leave if you don't have anything to say anymore."
Marianne stood up and asked, " Why do you keep on pushing me away?"
Evan sat on his chair and looked at her, "Because you are my cousin's fiance and the future Empress."
Marianne scoffed, "Empress. Empress. As if I want to be an Empress. You are the one I want. The one I love. And I know that you love me too."
Evan sighed, "I told you repeatedly; you are just mistaken. I cared for you like a sister, but you mistook it as a love of the opposite gender."
"Alright. Maybe it wasn't that kind of love for you, but for me, the five-year-old me fell in love with you, and until now, I still do. And this engagement with Louie, I never wanted it. It was all my father who fixed it."
"But you are engaged to him now, so please stop bothering me. " He turned his gaze to the paper on his desk.
