"Are you alright, Milady?"
Ashley looked at her and nodded. "I'm fine. Thank you."
Mae nodded as she said again, "Would you mind if I sit beside you?"
Ashley nodded then Mae she sat down beside her. She just sat beside her as they gazed outside the balcony. After a while, Ashley muttered, "Where is Annie?"
"Oh! She's with the Head Maid right now. Do you want me to call her?"
Ashley shook her head, "It's all right. She would only bombard me with many questions if she were here."
Mae agreed, "I can agree with you about that."
Then Ashley looked at Mae, "Are you not curious?"
"Curious? On the events this morning?"
Ashley nodded as Mae looked at her.
"Well, I'd be lying if I said I'm not. But I won't bring it up if you want to."
Ashley looked down as she fiddled with her hands. "I bet everyone thinks I had caused trouble for His Grace."
Mae frowned, "Why?"
